Couldn’t be happier with the care, service and support this office provided. From the receptionist to the dental assistant and dentist. Have never found a more friendlier staff. They really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.
Highly recommend this office for all your dental work. Both dentist are Dr. Kim (James and Mike) though not related but both very good.

If I was a dog with a tail… it would be tucked when it comes to Dentists. No kidding. I am a Veteran and have had bad experiences with both Military and Civilian Dentist. There is only one other Dentist I am comfortable with (and even then took a while) but she is in LA. SO! I had to birddog the Net… and to be honest… I avoided the high profile, talked about etcetc Dentist. THOSE were the ones that were crappy. It was this office and how they worded things and the whole feeling came across that I choose this one. Went in for the first time and the whole crew… Admin, techs/assistants…also made me feel at ease. I only got the privlege of meeting Doc Mike (Michael). The young «21“year old (:)) Dentist was really professional and also calming. I did tell him how I felt but things needed to be done. He was understanding about the whole thing. I have another visit with them if that tells you anything. Take it from me… one who has been down that road… DO NOT go for those who put themselves out there. The good ones dont have to!

Highly recommend this dental office… Dr. Kim is a wonderful dentist and all the girls there are great! Little to no wait time. Every time I walked in and I pretty much got started right away. I don’t normally care much for dental visits (who does, right!) but I had zero issues here. They are gentle and caring. During my procedure yesterday I was actually getting sleepy lol…
Again, great place, great staff and awesome dentist!

I highly recommend this office. All of the staff at this office are very friendly and helpful. They all seem to go above and beyond to accommodate and make sure you are comfortable. The dentist was wonderful about explaining everything and showing visually on a tv screen what was going on with each of my individual teeth. Instead of looking at a model of teeth, I was looking at my own personal teeth on a screen. This really helped me understand my dental needs. He was very thorough about answering all my questions and I never felt rushed. I left feeling informed but not pressured into any treatment plan. There was a tv screen to watch when you are laying back in the dental chair which is a wonderful distraction when you are confined during dental work.

After having about 4 different dentists in my life it is safe to say that Dr Kim and staff are without a doubt my favorite. The front desk staff are knowledgeable, friendly and professional. They worked to accommodate my busy schedule without complaint. Leslie took my X-​rays and was so incredibly nice and put me at ease. Dr Kim was timely, gentle and efficient. I am definitely your typical afraid of the dentist person but all my fears were put at ease there. I *almost* can’t wait to come back!

I have always been afraid of dentists and the machinery associated with having work done in my mouth. However, when my mouth was suddenly in agonizing pain, I knew I needed help fast!
I started by checking out Unilocal for recommendations for a sensitive, compassionate dentist in the Salinas area. Dr. Kim’s name came up and had the highest number of excellent reviews. Of course, I made an appointment.
I made the appointment on Friday explaining my tooth and fear issues. I was sent forms via email to print up, fill out, and bring in with me for a Monday morning appointment. That fast!
X-​rays were taken and all of my many teeth problems were explained and addressed with care and respect. The immediate problem was a wisdom tooth that was infected. So, Tuesday morning the tooth was pulled! That fast, that easy!
I picked up my pain meds on the way home. I was later in more pain than the medication could help alleviate, so I called Dr. Kim’s office to request something stronger. Yesenia answered the call and got me squared away very quickly with a new prescription. I should add that all of the ladies at office were very professional, but friendly too! Later, that evening, Dr. Kim called me to check my pain level and made recommendations to make my healing go smoothly. I have never gotten a call from a dentist before now! I’m so impressed!
This morning, Wednesday, I am in very slight pain and already have gotten my next appointment via email!
I am absolutely certain that I am in the best of care for my teeth with Dr. James D Kim. Thank you Dr. Kim!

This is my first visit to Dr. Kim’s office. To cut this short, Pros: nice clean office, helpful and courteous staff, and Dr. Kim himself is great! He takes time to explain the plan of care and gives fair recommendations. Cons: some pieces of the equipment were not working (did not seem like a commonly occurring thing though,) I couldn’t get my cleaning done during the first visit since you only have one hour for an appointment, which was somewhat inconvenient. Overall, I’m satisfied with care and I will be back.

the staff is super nice and so knowledgeable. just my second visit so far (much more to come lol) but they have all greeted me with a warm hello. their office is always so clean. the doctors are nice and friendly as well which make the process so much more easier.

Office is very clean and it’s nice being able to watch TV while you get work done. Office staff was very friendly and dr. Kim was amazing. They all were very friendly to my little one and Dr cam was great with checking her.

I originally came here in late November of 2013 as I had pain. They were able to fit me in about 2 hours after I called and were able to help me out. Ever since then, I’ve made this place my go to dentist every 6 months. The staff, from the receptionist to the dentist, are amazing and nice. Their staff makes the place relaxing and comfortable and even though I don’t have perfect teeth, they’re very welcoming. Dr. Kim has been great and in plain words, amazing! I have no complaints and will continue to come here even though I now reside out of the area.

Dr. Kim and his staff are the absolute best! I moved to this area a year and a half ago and wanted to get braces; so I did my research and had a couple of consultations around the area. After going to Dr. Kim’s office I knew this would be the place! They have the friendliest staff, always making you feel super comfortable, and professional like always.

Awesome staff!!! First time here and I just heard it’s theirs new location. Beautiful office and water bottles are offer while waiting for your appt. I thought it was kind of them to have. Throughout out my dental check-​up, I was able to watch tv which was super sweet. Dr. Kim was understanding to my last horrible destiny visits so he made sure this visit was not to be scare of. Always making sure I wasn’t feeling discomfort while checking up my teeth. Dr. Kim and staff, thank you for an awesome experience.

Loved it very quick and everyone was very nice. I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I was nervous but they made sure I was comfortable and not in any pain. I’ll be going back for my future appointments. I recommend coming here they do welcome families too

Dr. Kim was awesome! The staff was awesome too! Made me feel like At home. Highly recommended this Dentist office. Love the way the explain the prices and what you will need to have a great smile and healthy teeth!

Dr. Kim is as good as it gets. He has a wonderful staff that always makes me feel welcome and at ease, and they makes the insurance and billing process a breeze! I always know exactly how my benefits are being used and what I’m paying out of pocket for various procedures.
Dr. Kim’s calm and confident demeanor makes event the scariest procedures a piece of cake. He’s quite flexible, and even came in early one morning to take a look at a tooth for me. His dental assistants keep the atmosphere light but professional, and I know I am always in great hands with them.
Basically, there are simply not enough great things to say about this practice. I am so glad I found this practice after relocating to Monterey.

Staff was friendly, although I had to wait a little longer than I expected to be attended to. Dr. Kim was extremely knowledgable, and made me feel very comfortable. Overall great experience.

My experience with Dr. Kimm and his staff has been great so far. Had my teeth cleaned today, hygenist was really smooth, communicated well, was sensitive to the painful spots in my mouth.
He assessed my teeth and came up with a plan of treatement that was much more reasonable than the last dentist I saw. He’s not high tech, but I liked that. His staff was all very professional and took the time to explain the reasoning behind what he recomended, and what I could be doing to keep my teeth heathly. His office manager effortlessly produced a written treatement plan with costs to be covered by my insurance and the cost to me in a matter of minutes. It was clear and concise, they seem very honest and competent here.

I had a dental emergency & needed a new dentist. Dr. Kim took me in on the spot and gave me tremendous care. I have never had such a positive experience with any dentist. Between Dr. Kim’s excellent manner, his wonderful staff, and the convenience of hours and location, I can’t imagine a that I would ever go to another dentist.

Dr. Kim did a great job on my two crowns. I recommend him.

GREAT OFFICE! Tina and the rest of the staff are very polite and easy to talk to. They have always been very courteous while answering my MANY questions.
Dr. Kim is AWESOME at dentistry. He does a great job explaining what procedure is needed and why. I’m not sure where he studied, but more dentist should attend the same school. He has a very gentle hand when giving shots, awesome chair side manor and is never too busy to answer questions!
Would I recommend them? Yes!
