Been here a couple of times close to closing. Pretty low on choices for burritos. Today showed up at 8:10 when sign said closing at 8:30. Already closed. Recommend Panaderia on Sanborn. Good selection at that time of night.

This is probably the worst Plaza of all of them. Some of the girls are nice, some are rude. The food is always inconsistent. When your food is ready the set it on the counter and don’t tell you it’s for you until it gets cold.

MMM! This place needs to honored for their delicious, flaky, buttery, decent-sized chocolate on the inside AND chocolate-drizzled croissants for $ 1.25! They also sell some pretty good mexican meals, like the other Plaza’s, but I never found these croissants at the other ones… Their tortas are always a reliable choice. In the past I’ve been obsessed with their pan de queso y jalapeño, the queso’s actually cream cheese and omg. Beware, I’ve turned people onto this bread to the point of receiving drunken 4 am calls inviting me to go wait for La Plaza to open; I declined but had to think about it, because they’re amazing freshly-baked. They sell out quickly, specially when the ag season picks up, so show up early(though 4 am might be exaggerating unless you wanna help the team bake) and grab an extra one to share with someone, it’ll make their day. I want one now. Their tamales and chile rellenos are also good, I was craving some«just like mom’s» food and their chile relleno order came close but don’t tell my mom. Come earlyish as these sometimes sell out too, last time I looked around at what everyone else was eating and we were all having the chile relleno plate. For $ 8 you get a chile relleno, rice, beans, a small salad and tortillas. I’ve found a marker of a good mexican place is their beans and rice. A lot of places seem to serve shitty, bland or dry rice and so-so beans, but here, they’re on it. If these basic sides are good, then you know everything else will be worthwhile. Someone’s momma’s cooking here and its bomb. I wish they would hire me. Call me Plaza.

I came in here a few weeks ago and was overwhelmed by the amount of items available. It took me a few minutes to decide. The staff was very friendly and greeted me and offered suggestions when I asked. I was timid this time around and got a macaroon cookie and florentine cookie(which was delicious), still might have been overkill though. The desserts are fairly portioned and fairly priced. I haven’t been to the other La Plaza locations but definitely looking forward to returning to this one.
