These guys were fantastic. I had to put my stuff in a storage unit before I had PCS orders. They were professional, courteous, and timely. They were also about about 33% cheaper than the competition! They got everything squared away in my unit, and when PCS time came around, since power moves had done such a great job packing up, my move out of my second floor 10 by 20 unit was over by lunchtime. Great experience all around!

Awesome service! Johnny and his crew were very professional. We moved down the street, but since we had little ones to care for, we couldn’t do the move ourselves. He was easy to work with as far as date/​time. He took care of my items carefully and quickly moved my items. The price was also reasonable. I was very pleased with the service they provided! We recently relocated from N Salinas over to Seaside, and for the first time we decided to let the pros handle it!
I found this company after a quick Google search, and my call and concerns where quickly answered by manager Johnny. Easy to book and within the evening we had our movers scheduled.
They offer a pretty reasonable hourly rate with a three hour minimum, and for us it included two capable movers who brought their own XL truck and gear.
Our moving specialists where very professional but also friendly. They walked the house first room to room to go over details, special items, etc
They worked to pack our entire three bedroom house, and where pretty quick! We have a lot of mirrored fragile furniture, as well as music equipment and fine artworks that where a concern of ours. Both movers wrapped and moved these pieces with the utmost skill and care.
For an extra layer of complexity it was all out downpour rain about one hour into the move, but the guys where on top of it and so careful to not damage any of our water sensitive pieces. They also prepared to tape off our entire new carpeted area to protect the floor, very mindful!
I jumped in a few times to help with boxes but honestly we basically could sit back and finish packing the small stuff whole these guys tetrised our stuff into the truck.
If you’ve considered getting help moving don’t even second guess hiring these guys! The entire move, pack and unpacking, was completed that day in less than 8 hours. When we arrived they unpack the truck box and piece at a time, along everything to the room it needs to be in and can even help reassemble furniture and heavy pieces.
Great experience, would definitely call on them again for our next relocation!

I didn’t want to hire movers to help, but I’m so glad my husband researched and found these guys! So glad we called them– it would have taken us 8 times as long, if not more, to do what they did in five hours.
They helped carefully pack up all our furniture, bed, and box after box after box, and then move it across town, and unpack it and swiftly get it all set up… up a flight of stairs like it wasn’t a thing at all– they hardly broke a sweat, and were pleasant and professional the whole time.
Not only was I pleased, but they were even so thoughtful as to place a plant in the old garden that I’d taken out of a pot we were moving to the new place. Just a small, sweet detail, and that’s the kind of A+ service you will get from Daniel and Johnny.
I will definitely call them if we ever have to move again, which, I hope we don’t do anytime soon!

From start to finish, Johnny and Daniel from Power Moves were professional and courteous. They arrived right on time and ready to go. We hired them to move our daughter out of her two story, upstairs condo in Capitola into a house about a mile away. I never heard one complaint about all the stairs or about disassembly and reassembly of her Ikea furniture. They treated all her belongings like antiques. We couldn’t have been more impressed. As with any move, it seems there is always a mountain of trash bags and «dump items». Johnny and Daniel finished the move by hauling all that trash to the landfill for a very reasonable fee. We have hired many different moving companies over the years from the big guys to other small companies and we have never had such an easy move. This family run business is one we would definitely use again and we would highly recommend them to others.

So this review is a few months late but I wanted to acknowledge the great service I was provided when moving out of my place. Johnny was very professional when organizing the day of the move. He and his team arrived on time, they were very careful and quick with packing and loading my items. I especially appreciated that they wrapped my furniture in plastic wrap and provided boxes with racks to hang my clothes. This was my first time hiring a moving company and my experience was great. I definitely recommend Johnny and his team to anyone moving close or far! The rates are the best around.

Johnny and Art helped my family move and were amazing. Knowledgeable, courteous, diligent, resourceful, friendly, and professional are great words to express the experience we had with them. In fact a couple of friends of ours who are in the military helped us that day (have a LOT of experience moving.) and said they were the most professional moving crew they had seen before. Johnny and his guys provided shuttle service to move items from my parents house and load into another moving trailer and were game on through the move. From the initial phone call with Johnny he was very professional and provided an immediate quote along with proof of insurance. When the guys got there (ON TIME), I asked them if we could remove an old jukebox full of 45’s from the basement by lifting it 4′ and out a window, they guys were like «LET’S DO THIS», and it was done in 15 minutes. All furniture items were wrapped for protection and carefully moved. The whole process took a little less than five hours. Totally recommend calling if you need anything moved.

Overall great work. They were late but Johnny called to inform me so that was a professional move on his part. Only thing is the job was rushed at the end since one of the movers had another engagement to get to but again, good job overall

I highly recommend this moving company. From the moment these guys show up you are treated with nothing but kindness and professionalism! They show up prepared and take care of everything you need! I have used them twice and have already recommended them to others that are so happy they listened to me! I will use them whenever I need to move again. They really take the stress out of moving! We used Power Moves last Sunday 5÷24÷15 to move us from Sausalito to Salinas. Johnny and Luey (sorry if names not spelled correctly– took care of us with extreme professional service. From the time I placed my first phone call, we had exceptional customer service. I trusted them from my first conversation with Johnny. We’re new to Salinas and wanted to use a local company. Johnny and team helped us move from Gilroy to San Jose.
They handled all of our furniture with care while moving and during transportation. All heavy furniture and appliances were covered with fabric and then shrink wrapped.
Power movers are professionals and highly polite with great customer service.

Thank goodness for Power Moves!!! My husband and I re-​located from Southern California with only my two older parents to help and we had no clue how we were going to manage moving our heavy furniture and boxes into our second-​story apartment all on our own. After reading all the good reviews, I decided to give Power Moves a try and I am sooo happy I did. They were very polite and professional over the phone and were able to accommodate our uncertain schedule (coming from so far away, we really didn’t know what time we would be arriving)! I was positive that with the amount of stuff we had, the move would take 3+ hours but they made it all happen in just under 2 hours. They handled our belongings with care and maintained their professionalism throughout. I can’t thank them enough for their help and I will definitely give them a call when we’re ready to move again!

Power Moves Services helped us to move from Marina to Seaside couple of weeks ago. I’ve never been that much impressed with the moving team and the company management. On both occasions the moving team has been friendly, courteous, and very careful with our personal belongings. There rate also seemed very reasonable. Great service at a very reasonable price. I called them on Sunday and they responded right away. They came to my house and gave me a free estimate, next day they showed up on time, packed everything and delivered it. Nothing was broken or missing. we recently used their service to move to San Jose from Salinas and I was impressed with their professionalism. We got a very prompt response upon requesting a quote and they even came down to take a look at the furniture to provide an accurate quote.
