Save On Cleaners

This place is always busy. I appreciate the multiple people at the registers assisting customers. I’ve been going here for about a year and have no complaints regarding the actual dry cleaning of my clothing. They are organized, efficient and prompt.
However, with the exception of the young man, I believe that the young ladies can be a bit more friendly and a bit more welcoming. I get the feeling that I’m bothering them for taking my clothes in or asking them to get my already cleaned clothes. A little customer service goes a long way…

Affordable, efficient and effective. For the cash price this place is a life saver, I maybe spend $ 25 a month. I’ve maybe waited 10 minutes max, always less for drop off or pick up. I bring in my jackets and pants for dry cleaning, my shirts for laundering; and anything to be tailored which is sent out. The ladies are efficient and effective, explaining cost efficient and best care methods for the clothes. Sometimes my clothes are even ready early. Out of the 2 times I’ve been here and the 28 shirts and 16 suits I’ve only had one issue. One pair of pants had a minor tear where a 1 inch seam came undone in the waist and was marked with an already damaged tag. I only wish I was told during pick up so I could have sent it for tailoring. Thank you. I will continue to return.

Please fix my jacket

Usually no problems but when they lost our clothes it was a fight trying to get a manager to help us over the phone. Management seems to not focus on customer service

When they say «at your own risk» they mean it!
First of all, at the time I dropped off my down comforter I was a very new mom and had a 2 month old. I’m lugging my car seat and baby along with the huge comforter. No one offered to help! In fact I waited a while holding everything! Not a good way to start considering my cat just peed on my comforter!
Next, I ask for my comforter to be dry cleaned. The girl helping me says they only launder them. I tell her the blanket says dry clean only and she in a very ride tone says «like I said we only launder them». I start to ask again what my options are when the manager? Owner? Comes over and again very very rudely tells me that they launder them all the time and never have problems. I told him it was expensive and he again assures me they do it every day with no issue– but at my own risk. I think I must have gave him a look because he then app ogives for being brash with me. Which I appreciate because most people won’t admit when they are doing that.
Flash forward– I pick it up, pay, go home. I don’t use the comforter right away. A couple months go by and I pull it out for our guest room. Feathers fly everywhere!!! There is not 1 but 2 holes/​rips in the down comforter! «Closed» with safety pins. So not only did they ruin the blanket, they knew they did and failed to say anything. FAIL!!!
I understand I had it cleaned at my own risk but they definitely made it sound like I had nothing to worry about and didn’t admit when it ripped! $ 35 down the drain for cleaning PLUS the $ 100 the comforter cost me!

I agree this place is cheap and convenient (right by where I work) and turn around is fast. You get an extra discount if you pay with cash in advance. Customer service is mediocre at best (that I have experienced). They lost/​broke a button on my blazer but of course didn’t notify me or apologize. I found out when I put it on. Of course no one would admit to it.
I’m conflicted around the whole cleaners issue. It frustrates me that women have to pay more because of the «shirt cuts». I’ve researched this issue and it has actually gone to court in the US (not this cleaners/​in this county… yet). Apparently they make machines that press both for similar pricing (versus purchasing a machine that only does men’s and purchasing a second) yet they charge more for women anyway because it’s always been that way. I’d pay more for a cleaner that charged the same price for men and women. (Any one know of one in Salinas?)
Now disregarding that price injustice, this place is 2 stars mostly for convenience. I lost a button to them, I just hope they never tear or ruin my garments.

I’ve been going to Save On for years. Very reliable and fast dry cleaning service. Bring your clothes before 10:00am and you can pick them up after 4:00pm of the same day.
All this for only $ 3.00 per piece (cash price).
They carefully check garment labels to make sure they can be dry cleaned or laundered.
Super-​friendly staff too!

I go here cuz it’s cheap and convenient, quality is ok. They have shrunk some sweaters…

We went to this place for dry cleaning since it was cheap but we took two of my husbands suit jackets for alterations and it took over a week to get back and one was done incorrectly… went back to get it fixed and they REFUSED to redo it and refused a refund… bad customer service which is a shame because usually everyone is so nice… they lost our business today.

The staff and management are the best in Salinas. I drive from the North side of town a few times a week because they care about me as a customer and my needs. The same day service and discounts are an added bonus

I took twenty clothing items to be cleaned and the next day picked my clothing up. When I got home all of my clothes were pressed but they had the same smell. Also my clothes had the same stains. I called the establishment the next day and spoke with a man name Bruno who says he was the owner regarding my clothes not being cleaned. Bruno over the phone had no problems and told me to bring them back in. When I take my clothes in of course Bruno has an attitude and he could not believe I would accuse his company of not cleaning my clothes. However, this nut took $ 55.00 from me and all he had to do was clean my clothes. He knew he had not cleaned my clothes because when asked to smell my clothes he refused… but he cleaned my clothes and gave me a note to take my business else where. Umm what kind of crazy business owner don’t stand behind the work they do… A crook… thanks a lot Bruno

We have been bringing laundry and dry cleaning to Save On Cleaners for several years and were happy with their service… until recently. One of my husbands shirt’s was returned with a small rip in the front. The manager refused to acknowledge they were responsible. Beware… he didn’t care about quality of service or losing a long-​time customer!

This place has earned my loyalty with good business practices. They have helped me save money several times by telling me certain garments would last longer if washed in the machine or by hand at home. They are very good about letting the customer know if there is a risk to the item if dry cleaned, and recommending laundry versus dry cleaning, with explanations. Consistently pleasant and devoted to doing what is best for the customer.

This place is wonderful. Been coming here for over 8 years fast friendly service.
Dropped off in the morning picked up same day just in time for evening wear.
Had my favorite Joe jeans re-​stitched and patched and a perfect original hem on my TR jeans (Triple stitch hem) for a really good price.

If you turn in your clothes in the morning, you can have it done by 4pm the same day! great service and the staff is always super friendly.

Your dry-​cleaning is even cheaper if you pay cash.
They do require payment when you drop your items off, but accept credit cards, AND your items are ready the next day — even if you drop your stuff off late in the day.
Not sure why there aren’t more reviews for this place! It’s always busy when I go in…
