Animal Medical Center of Saline

I’ve been here probably dozens of times now over the years and my love for Dr. Carrie has grown but my love for everybody else has sort of faded. I have had mixed experiences with some of the other vets, mostly good.
I’m not super thrilled about the vet tech/​reception staff though. Some of the ladies have been amazing but the one I get most of the time is pretty gruff and not overly friendly. I don’t think she’s ever smiled and at my last visit, she seemed really annoyed at my presence. The office was really busy but I had made an appointment and was right on time. Before I had even said anything to her or checked in, she said that I would have to wait quite a bit because there were several people ahead of me. It was the way she spoke that made her seem really annoyed to see me.
I still like most everything about this vet but some of the staff could be a little friendlier.

I have been bringing my dogs and cats to this office for YEARS! The care they have received has been nothing short of PHENOMENAL and COMPREHENSIVE! My animals have been treated with TOP NOTCH care that not only melts my heart but it fills me with confidence I recommend this office to anyone looking for veterinary care for their fur children. …I drive 30 miles one way to bring my pets here and it is WELL WORTH THE TIME AND DRIVE! My dogs and cats have been here for nail trims to surgery to life threatening conditions. .they handle everything with grace and compassion PLEASE give this office a try– they will NOT disappoint! !

We had a bit of a scare with our older female cat recently. She was having a hard time jumping and walking around, and we brought her in because she began hiding and was showing signs of pain when we would pet her lower back. The female doctor here was very friendly, listened to all of our concerns, and rather than trying to push things on us, gave us multiple options and let us decide what we thought would be the best next step. At the end, we brought home special medicine for our baby girl who more than likely has arthritis and if we ever need any other assistance with either of our two cats, we will be back here.

We have been taking our cats to this veterinary office for 12 years and I have highly recommended them to a number of friends who now use them for their pets and all have thanked me for such a good recommendation! The office staff is friendly and helpful and the vets are wonderful people, warm and compassionate and very knowledgeable. They have helped me say good-​bye to several sweet friends and hello to new cats. Before finding this vet office I tried several other area offices and none were as good… they might have fancier offices but none had comparable veterinary care.

I was referred to the Animal Medical Center of Saline by a friend of mine and it was the best decision I could have ever made for my dog. The staff members here are extremely friendly, caring and compassionate. My dog is in and out with quite a few allergy problems and they’ve always discussed the best possible options along with taking my expenses into consideration. The Animal Medical Center of Saline is by far the best veterinary clinic in the area. I highly recommend them! You will NOT be disappointed. :-)

My neighbor told me how well they had handled an emergency surgery on his great dane — with minimal expense, actually! My pastor told me how caring they were when she had to have her cat euthanized.
So when I was sure my cat was a goner, instead of our regular vet — a long drive away — I rushed her to Animal Medical Center. I expected the usual, «Well, we’ll have to do x-​rays…» but instead the veterinarian (Dr. Blajan) did a simple exam with his fingers and a stethoscope.
I appreciate the «simpler-​is-​better» approach of this veterinarian.
He said my cat would probably be fine. Her intestines were NOT tied in knots, which was what I was fearing. What a relief! She had been yowling on the way over, but she had stopped. She was given IV fluids and brought back to me. We were sent home with antibiotics because of the blood coming out the back end. In retrospect, it was probably a killer furball.
My cat was back to her usual self in a few days. I am very grateful that they were able to work me in with their scheduled appointments, and calm down a nervous cat-​mommy so that we could both go home and recover from the ordeal.
