Tilley’s Harley Davidson Of Salisbury

This one goes out to the Service Dept (primarily) with an ‘Honorable Mention’ to their Service Dept (Dale) also. I stopped by Tilley H-​D this morning to get a 10k servicing on my Fat Boy. I got there early and was greeted at the Service Dept door by Thomas (knowledgeable and trusty H-​D mechanic who did my Fat Boy’s servicing): good guy. He jumped right on it after Big John got my work order typed up and explained; very thorough techs at Tilley H-​D. I like seeing H-​D employees who are OCD and actually care about their customers’ motorcycles. These guys took good care of me today.
I had originally requested that Jody be the mechanic who worked on my Fat Boy, but he gave me the courtesy of explaining to me that he was a tad backed up and asked my permission for Thomas to be allowed to do the 10k servicing instead: VERY cool, Jody. He could’ve easily placated me and acted as though he HAD done the servicing, but instead he was up front with me and explained his situation. Thomas did an outstanding job on my Fat Boy so I’m still one happy camper!
Dale (in their Parts Dept) is the man to see if you have questions about which part will fit your H-​D. Dale helped me upgrade my air cleaner kit today to one I liked better than the one I rode in with. Thanks a million, Dale, for your assistance.
Everyone employed at Tilley H-​D in Salisbury is GOOD people; honest, friendly, and beeeyond trustworthy. I’m definitely glad I took my Fat Boy Lo in there for its servicing AND will definitely be back when it’s time for anything else that needs to be done to it.

We had our Harley towed to Tilley’s Harley on Bendix Rd. in Salisbury. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use their service department. Our Harley had a small oil leak and backfired going up hills when it went to their shop. They had our Bike for over a month; they said due to bike week but they did much work that we did not authorize. We were expecting about $ 800 worth of work, that included Oil Change and Filter. After getting it back $ 1200. later we have a bad Gas Leak plus it backfires something awful now just starting it, smoke comes from the Carburetor and the Service manager argued with my husband that it was not their fault. NO GAS LEAK going in, BAD GAS LEAK coming out; NOT THEIR FAULT??? Would NOT recommend Tilley’s Harley Davidson in Salisbury, NC to anyone. They’ll RIP YOU OFF in Repairs. The actual guy that did the repairs was helpful, Service Mgr lost our respect quickly, he gives Harley a bad reputation.

The staff at Tilleys have to be among the top experiences that I have ever had at a Harley dealership. Mike Rummage from sales was awesome (I hope he doesn’t mind me mentioning his name). I have gone to local HD dealerships and have never been asked if I needed assistance.
The bottom line is that I spent a lot of money there. Not because the prices were low (nothing Harley is cheap, LOL) but because I felt welcome and that made me want to patronize the business. Just passing thought town… I visited several dealerships this week and didn’t spend a dime.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK GUYS! Oh and one more thing, the woman who sold me the watch and rang up my sales was also great. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name
