I would strongly dissuade anyone from using Meg Averett as an agent. She regularly failed to respond to our concerns or responded in an unhelpful, quick, abrasive way. She regularly promised to do things and failed to do them, to call right back and failed to call back, and just generally seemed annoyed with any need or question that we brought to her. She was also unable to effectively communicate with the seller’s realtor which resulted in long wait times and likely less beneficial outcomes for us. She even went so far as to rant about the other realtor to us. She also recommended contractors and inspectors that we were dissatisfied with, likely resulting in our purchase of the property despite major risks of future expenses. Overall, a very unprofessional and dissatisfying experience.

Looking for a house can be stressful. The best advice I received before going into house hunting with my husband, was to get a good recommendation for an agent that is familiar with the area that you want to buy in. Luckily enough for us, we were given an outstanding recommendation for Tyler Quinn, from Chapman Richards and Associates.
Tyler has been an agent for over 30 years, so he knows his stuff, has amassed a great network of contacts that are helpful when buying a house (inspector, carpet guy, roof guy, etc.), and looks out for his clients always! It did take us a couple of months to find the home that was right for us, and Tyler was there with us every step of the way. We developed a relationship right away where we could tell him what we wanted and what we did not, and he kept those notions in mind during our search. He was and is insightful, principled, courteous, and connected. This man never stops working, he is tireless. Even now that we are all moved in, I know that we can still call Tyler and he will help with whatever we need.
In addition he has a great finance guy that he works with that made the whole financing of the house less stressful as well, but I will save that for another review. All in all I love our new house, and am very grateful to Tyler for helping us find our home.

I can’t speak for the rest of Chapman, Richards and Associates, but I can speak about one of their Realtors, Dana Walton.
Fisrt off, I am in the Armed Services and had received orders to Germany, leaving in February, 2014. My wife and I were living in a house that I had bought in 2008 just before the economy/​housing market crashed. The house was a post WWII barrack that was built in 1946 and although it had been updated it still had a dated feel to it, especially the room layouts. Needless to say — to get what we wanted out of it would be a very difficult, if not impossible task.
Dana was referred to us by a family member who had him as their Realtor when they bought their most recent house, and were very pleased with his work (they are super picky!). He met with us and looked over the house and we discussed what we wanted to get out of it. Before the house went on the market, he suggested some changes (none of which were out of our budget) and brought in a professional photographer.
What really struck me as going above and beyond was his personality. He really got to know us personally and really displayed a genuine interest in what we wanted out of him as a Realtor. Even when we had moved to Germany, he kept us informed of everything that he was doing, and always asked how our new baby was. I don’t know how many nights he was up emailing us forms and paperwork for offers so that we would get them while we were awake. His suggestions and advice were always on point, and if we didn’t want to do something he had suggested, he respected that. There is so much more that I could say, but it would take up way too much space.
All in all, he made the seemingly impossible task of selling our house a very simple, painless process. There is no doubt in my mind that when we return to Utah, my wife and I will have Dana find us our house.

This review may not apply to all of the Chapman-​Richards enterprise, but we have had a very poor experience with one of their Agents.
Our own agent even confirmed our perception in that «she was being deceptive and manipulative»
Meg Averett was the agent at CR and she was abrasive, crass and at times outright rude. You have lots of choices in finding a Realtor, and CR&A has lots of other Agents available — I am sure any of the rest of them is better to work with than Meg.

Worst experience I’ve ever had and I have bought and sold a few homes in my day. No integrity AT ALL! Don’t use them!
