Material Resourcers provides cost-​conscious & environmentally responsible waste solutions for Utah businesses and property owners. We do this in two ways:

Repurposed Materials: we reclaim & repurpose unwanted materials from industrial, manufacturing, and retail businesses in Utah. Building Deconstruction: There IS an alternative to the bulldozer when it comes to demolition of unwanted buildings. Deconstruction (aka: green demolition) saves up to 90% of a building’s materials from needlessly becoming useless waste. Whether its commercial or residential, we have different methods to reclaim and/​or donate your building materials. This means lower disposal costs, a tax write-​off that substantially offsets the cost of our service. History

Established in 2012.

Material Resourcers was created to fill in the waste gaps of industrial and manufacturing disposal companies. Diverse, useful material is going to the landfill simply because it is not recyclable, valuable, or both. However, repurposing materials saves companies time & money, and helps them achieve their sustainability goals. We began by repurposing former billboards into new uses like hay tarps, weed barrier, pond liner and more. Now we reclaim materials from many Utah businesses looking for a cost-​conscious alternative to recycling or trashing.

In early 2014 we began focusing on the waste gaps in the building industry. 1000’s of structures are demolished each year creating huge amounts of trash. We realized that deconstructing buildings rather than destroying them had a triple-​bottom line benefit: financial, social, and environmental. We now offer deconstruction and green demolition to Utah property owners seeking responsible options for their remodels, renovations or razing.

Meet the Business Owner

Daniel S.

Business Owner

Daniel wears many hats. He is the founder and owner of Material Resourcers — an industrial/​manufacturing waste & excess material solutions company that provides repurpose and reuse alternatives to the landfill. He started this out of a passion to see waste viewed as a resource, not a liability. Daniel is also the Utah Regional Manager for The ReUse People of America, an environmental non-​profit focused on reducing C&D waste through building deconstruction. When he’s not wrestling whiskey barrels or taking houses apart, Daniel is educating Utah’s building industry about deconstruction, and helping businesses see the financial and social rewards of repurposing. Prior to working in the «green» field, Daniel spent 12 years as a news reporter and cameraman in Colorado and Utah. Daniel holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Colorado and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Utah
