Description

Specialties

Mindful and Embodied is an intimate yoga studio and yoga school in downtown Salt Lake City offering private yoga instruction, small group yoga classes, yoga teacher trainings and immersions as well as bodywork. Natalie V opened this space with the intention of providing a welcoming environment for others to explore the body/mind connection and to support the community in achieving optimal physical, mental and emotional health.

History

Established in 2006.

Mindful and Embodied started out in Natalie’s home where she taught private yoga classes and did bodywork. After teaching in various crowded yoga studios, gyms, and the University of Utah, she decided to open a small studio where people could come and receive more personalized attention in an atmosphere that is safe and healing. She has directed 7 yoga teacher trainings and some of her trainees now also offer classes at the space.

Meet the Business Owner

Natalie V.

Business Owner

I began practicing Yoga in 2001 and experienced profound effects immediately. After just a few classes, I became aware that I could use Yoga to examine resistances and heal wounds that had been limiting me physically and emotionally for years. Yoga taught me to question the workings of my mind, make deliberate choices and focus my attention on the present moment, and to find safety in my body.

I have studied many different styles of yoga with many wonderful teachers and integrate all of that knowledge into my practice and my teaching. In addition to teaching Yoga, I am a bodyworker trained in BioSync®, which is a type of bodywork that addresses trauma patterns in the body and helps to unwind and release them. I believe these techniques and ancient practices are not only wonderful ways to keep the mind and body in good working order but they also create space to let go of what limits us and to consider life more comprehensively, more expansively.
