I recently went here for ballerina/​coffin shaped nails specifically because another Unilocal review mentioned this was the place to go for those shapes. While my nail technician here did her best copying the picture I showed her, this wasn’t something she was good at and my nails ended up literally all breaking and coming off within a week. I spent almost $ 40 for something that simply didn’t last. I wouldn’t recommend this place based on the quality of work that I received here. She also did not build the nail close enough to the cuticle (stating it was due to my cuticles, but I’ve never had that problem before and I get my nails done all the time) so walking out the door they looked like they had grown out.

Seriously the best nails in salt lake. I get complimented and asked where my nails are done almost everyday. They do unique nails, and I am pleased after each visit. If you want coffin or claw or any other shape this is the place to go! They are quick and I seem to fit them in my busy schedule without taking hours out my day to get a manicure.

I occasionally get acrylics done here and they’re always so kind and professional. They aren’t rough like other places I’ve been to and they do a great job. And for $ 25 for a full set of white tips, you just can’t beat that. The woman who did mine was very quick, yet careful about doing a good job. I asked about the price for designs on the acrylics and she told me they charge $ 3 per nail. The place is small and cozy, relatively clean, and well ventilated. They have a big fan to keep the place air conditioned, and small fans on each mani desk that they turn on to help with the fumes. Over all, I’m very happy. They do charge money for use of a credit or debit card because they themselves get charged (I think it’s only $ 1?).

Went in spur of the moment and had a full set done. They were fast and to the point. The woman who helped me made sure all the nails were perfectly even and went above and beyond. I loved my experience and will definitely be back.

I have been here a number of times now and I always get great service from everyone who has done my nails. They are kind, friendly and do a thorough pedicure with sugar scrub, massage and impeccable work on the nails.
I would recommend them to anyone who likes to support small businesses run by real people. They aren’t fancy but it’s clean, there is hardly any chemical smell and they always strive to give the best service.
I will drive out of my way to come here. I have yet to find a place as good as Q nails close to my home or work. Thank you ladies!

The other reviews cannot be true. I wanted to like this place because I live so close but it was just bad. And I’m not picky. All of the nail polishes were old. The shellac selection was sad and the brush from the polish kept falling off onto my nails. The woman took forever trying to fix it but she was working with really poor materials. I felt bad for her. On top of it all the prices were more than most nail salons in the area. They were the same price as some higher end salons I’ve been to! Just crazy. However, the girl next to me was getting false eyelashes put on and she was very happy about them. So perhaps that’s their strong point. Unfortunately I won’t be back unless they purchase new supplies and clean their salon.

I love Q Nails, I’ve been going to this nail salon for almost 3 years now. The owner Mookie is always there with her happy attitude and does great work. I’ve also had my nails done by Pat and Mai, both ladies are super sweet and also do great work. Ask for Pat if you’re looking for something crazy like claws or 3d art. Their prices are fair compared to other salons in SLC and I always leave happy. Check out the photos if you don’t believe me.

I had a great experience here.
Came in for a pedicure (no appointment) and was greeted by the sweet staff. Their selection of colors included the bigger brands and also some really fun spring colors. No one tried to upsell me on anything and the girl who did my pedicure was awesome! Great foot and leg massage, massaging chairs, cozy atmosphere and no one rushed me out. It was very peaceful and just what I needed that day.
This place does perhaps lack the pizazz of something like Nailed or another more boutiquey nail salon but for the price ($ 25.00 for my basic pedicure) and service I would recommend this to anyone. I will definitely be back!

Not a place I would give a second chance to, let alone a first. When I walked in I was greeted with a reluctant «how are you?» I replied «Great, and you?» and the employee said «What do you want?». I was shocked at how I was greeted and left. So I don’t know what kind of salon this is and I have no plans to find out.

Horrible! Dirty, old dried up polishes, untrained staff, REEKS of chemicals, no ventilation, dingy… Gross. I walked out after the girl first scalded my feet, then froze them… then sprayed a humongous hose full of water ALL OVER my hair, face, clothes and shoes. You have to be effing kidding me. They laughed and apologized and didn’t even say, hey, we’ll give you a discount for soaking your blowout, clothes, shoes etc. Reprehensible.
Back to Relax where they are shoddy but still somewhat better and have a ceiling more than 5 feet high so the chemicals can air out.

I went back to Q nails for the second time because I had a good experience the first time. But the second time was a nightmare. The manicurist was untrained, it took forever to finish, and the nail polish were coated unevenly and came off as I drove home. After spending an hour and $ 17, I’ll have to go to another nail salon tomorrow. It was a complete waste of time. Will never go back there again.

I just had the most relaxing pedicure at Q Nails. The pedicure lasted about an hour. She used a salt scrub on my legs and feet. And it was only $ 25. I will go back every time I get a pedicure.
