I love going to school here. The instructors are very knowledgeable and teach you the correct ways of the beauty world. We take our time and try our best to make you look sharp and feel pampered. I am so happy to be in this new industry and can’t wait to start on the floor next week! I can’t wait to pamper all of you!!! :)

I love this place! The only place I’ve gotten my hair cut since I’ve lived in Utah (almost 4 years now.) The students act very professional and it’s always a good experience coming here. Never have had a bad cut or color coming from this school.

I went to school here and absolutely loved it! The instructors are very involved, and because there are fewer students than other beauty schools you get a lot of one on one attention! Any and every question you have they answer! They prepared me well for state boards and helped me get a job at a great salon right after graduation! The instructors were so great, that even now if I have a question I can call them and they will help me out! It’s a great school, highly recommended!

My review is very simple, this is a school. The instructors are very gifted individuals that are brilliant stylists in the outside world and then they come and share techniques and real world wisdom with the students.
All services are performed by students. At anytime you, as a client, are not comfortable you can discuss the situation with the student and instructor.
I have been so very fortunate to have students who want to use the techniques they have learned on me and as a result I never, ever, leave looking less than fabulous.
Currently the two students that I request are Collin and Lexi. They both are professionally talented enough it’s hard to believe that they are students!
Kudos to the great instructors and students!!!

2 ways to review this establishment:
1. do not sign up for classes at this school… they won’t teach you anything of importance, they are only after your money. the school hires instructors right out of their own beauty school! they have nothing to offer you that any other beauty school can’t offer you in a clean environment. i have had a 3 year long dispute about being abused by an instructor at the sugarhouse location, please for the sake of your reputation, do not enroll here!
just a side note: when i was enrolled at school here, i often saw instructors and students trading prescription drugs openly. that is just something that i thought i should add.
2. don’t waltz into this school to get your hair done unless you know your stylist, and also where they live. in my 11 months going to this school i saw everything from simple screw-​ups, to a 5 year old getting 3^rd degree burns on her scalp because the stylist was cracked out…
literally, smoked some crack before going out onto the floor.
its a school ran by degenerates who couldn’t make it as a hairstylist anywhere else… and isn’t even owned by hairstylists!

It was even less than I expected going to a school. The prices are very reasonable and I agree you get what you pay for… but not in this case. The pedi/​mani was seriously the worst I’ve ever had and the waxing was equally bad. The equipment was dated and the products were junk. I hoped to find a fun place to take my two little nieces so they could enjoy the spa experience at a price I could afford while I had little treat as well… but didn’t work out that way. Instead we all went away pretty unhappy. I actually bought nail polish remover on the way home so I could take off the cotton bal infestedl, old, too thick nail polish they used as soon as possible. The girls agreed and couldn’t wait to get theirs off too.
I will say the girls/​guy that were our techs were amazing people. Very engaged, sweet, thoughtful, pleasant to be around, and they tried. But how can they be successful when the school doesn’t provide them with the tools they need to do a good job. Fix the equipment, buy new polish, SANITIZE the tools they are using, support the students so they can deliver a higher level of service.
In addition, it is clearly stated the services being provided are supervised by an instructor. Nope… I am sure little to no supervision is going on. We saw an instructor once as she meandered around… not doing ANY instructing. The girls were helping each other… but the instructor should have been involved. My feet weren’t even clean after the pedi but the instructor never looked, INSTRUCTED the student, gave her any help, or reviewed her work. This, too me, is a travesty since these men and women are paying this place to work 8 hours a day and it was obvious they weren’t getting any instruction. We were a perfect group to practice on and the instructor should have been in on it. So… the students were an amazing group of people that were doing the best they could without leadership or equipment/​products.
I can’t recommend this place even at the low prices they have. Look elsewhere.

It’s exactly what you would expect going to a hair school. I have had my hair cut and colored here. I probably won’t go here for a cut again because I feel like its too easy to mess up and especially since I have curly hair the cut makes or breaks it. But if you are cheap, not picky, or have a simple cut, they do a good job and looking at the people around me nothing terrible has happened. The teachers supervise every step. I would go here again for a color, the teachers mix the color not the students or the students are highly supervised doing the mixing (at least from what I could tell). Some students are better than others. A couple of times I did have dye all over my scalp but I went home and cleaned it up no problem. One time the color wasn’t what I wanted, but it looked good so no major complaints.
Most of the students are awkward and concentrating on not messing up so no really comfortable conversation. Plus they all spend hours there together so sometimes they get really chatty with each other. No awesome service or anything like you would get at nice saloon, but they are still nice and helpful. If you aren’t extremely picky about your hair this place is a great deal.
