Specialties
Quality Haircuts by Experienced Barbers at a Discounted Price. We do all cuts and styles, men, women, boys, and girls.
History
Established in 1965.
My father, Howard D. Hinckley, started The Dollar Barber Shop 50 years ago charging only $ 1 per haircut. He believed that «Quality Sells Itself,» and that has become our motto. Our talented, experienced barbers can give you the haircut you desire with little to no wait six days a week.

Business Owner
I took over as owner of The Dollar Barber Shop in April 2013 after my father, Howard D. Hinckley, a barber, passed away after owning and managing it for 48 years. He was 89. Even though he hadn’t cut hair for about 15 years before that, he still was at the shop every day, six days a week, sitting in his chair in the back with his shades and smile on and a Pepsi in his hand, chatting with customers he’d known for almost 50 years, some who were kids when they first got their hair cut there. He taught me a lot about people and business and a good work ethic. I strive to live up to his legacy by continuing to offer a great haircut by some of the best barbers along the Wasatch Front at the best price in the valley. Dad believed in quality, friendliness, and a great bargain. And then he passed that down to me.
