Very clean hospital! Absolutely large and beautiful! Great staff! Very helpful, supportive and caring! I had many calls prior to surgery and post surgery! If I had to go to the hospital again I would choose to come here!

It was time to get another colonoscopy so I called to see if they could just make an appt w/the U of U Dr I had before who said to come back in 5 yrs. No, they had to see me because I hadn’t been to the clinic in 3 yrs. So punish me for having good health! AND charge me $ 175 just to refer me to the U of U Dr. I told them I wanted to do my colonoscopy again. AND they screwed up the appt 3 times! About done with them.

No real change to prior review, other than that they’ve significantly re-done the lobby, which makes this not exactly an enjoyable place to wait, but not quite the agony it was previously. We also wound up waiting the last time we went probably the least amount of time since we’ve been going there, so perhaps a concerted effort to improve is afoot. If so, I definitely applaud it. You still will want to do what you can to specify a doctor, though, if you find one you like…

The staff is great, especially Tracy! She worked with us in our weird situation and apologized when we had to wait. She’s a gem!

I’ve been here several times over the years. This is the place my insurances is preferred and I am «supposed» to go here. However, I just have a hard time with the residents who practice medicine. It probably is not really their fault… they are young and inexperienced and I have minor medical issues… but I get the feeling they are just telling me «take two of these and don’t call me in the morning… problem solved, now get out of my office.» I also have an annual appointment here, for a general check-up, and every time it is with a new doctor… because of the residency thing. Which honestly I don’t mind, but when they look at my chart there is always the comment that«boy, you have seen a lot of different doctors» which insinuates that I am doctor shopping… which I am not. Recently I have been going to the IHC clinic nearby, just to avoid feeling like the way I do when I visit this U of U clinic. I also don’t like that they don’t take walk-ins. I don’t have any issues with the medical care, it is the bedside manner and administration that I don’t like.

This is a good clinic, they are reasonably priced and do try to help people who have no insurance.
