We can shorten lengths, take in, let out, patch, repair, and alter just about anything. With Over 45 years of experience we make sure to get the job done right. We have been at this location for over 22 years.

History

Established in 1993.

After years of working with other tailoring department stores, such as 11years @ Frost Brothers, then 3 years at the tailor shop working again for someone else, Alvina decided to work for herself. She built up this business and obtained a great client base of regular customers, who in return spread the word. It has been about 22 years since Alvina came to this shop to work and now she has built a great family business.

After the illness of Alvina’s Husband, she decided it would be best to turn the business, she worked so hard to build, over to her daughter, Melody, who also has been working at the shop for 14 year We have been working in partnership ever since. Alvina is still a big part of the shop, she is just a part –timer. Right out of High School I went to help Alvina at the shop. She taught me everything I know and passed down all her secrets that make Alvina’s work the best in San Antonio. You can find some one who is always willing to under bid us just to take our business, but the quality and dedication of work that Alvina’s Tailor Shop provides is incomparable.
