Like many of us, I have trial-and-error’d many, MANY nail and spas, from Stone Oak to Live Oak, to Bandera to the Missions. Basse Nails and Spa is quite simple, filled with professionals, and kind individuals. They offer drinks, have a wide array of spa options and an even larger array or nail polishes and so forth. I’ve been a returning customer for almost 3 years and they have never disappointed. I highly recommend this little hidden gem!

Awesome job! Ask John for and Anthony! Very attentive and nice! Atmosphere was exactly the relaxing break I needed.

Good mani, okay pedi. Took forever to finally get attended. Service was super slow, not sure if tools were even clean. And I got charged 60 for a classic pedi and JUST shellac which should have been 55, but lady insisted it was 60. I wouldn’t recommend.

I knew I’d been here before — heck, I even reviewed the place! But in a quest for something different I tried them again. Ugh! I’m no more satisfied than I was first time. I suppose they think they’re doing you a favor by doing your manicure & pedi at the same time, but really it’s another person to tip & you’re holding your hand in the air or sliding into the UV light on the arm of the pedi chair. Not comfortable at all and not only that but when I bumped my thumb on the towel draped over the arm of chair, the gal proceeded to just touch it up with paint. The nail was totally rough. I asked her to redo it & clearly she wasn’t happy about that. When I get home & in better light I see there’s no paint around the cuticles where they cleaned up the excess polish. For this price, I’d like to see a cleaner mani/pedi.

I was very disappointed in this place and very upset when I left. My nails don’t even look professionally done. The white should be a pearl/off white and the white is uneven. There’s gunk left all around the edges. With the design I wanted only coral. The worker tried to do black and coral on one nail; I told her to just try coral on the other one so I could see. I told her to switch the black/coral to just coral detail and she said it couldn’t be done, she couldn’t take it off. I said my nails are two different nails! I’m not leaving with two different nails! I was charged $ 41 for this shoddy job, wasn’t even offered a discount. I had to ask for her to correct something three different times and she didn’t want to. I’m going to have to go pay another place to fix this tomorrow, spending more money :(

Worst pedicure in my life! I don’t even know if he is licensed to do the pedicure. He was easily distracted and doing other client’s pedicure in the middle of my service. I was really grossed out! I had to ask him to wash his hands. He didn’t want to charge me because i was unhappy but i paid anyway. I don’t recommend this place at all!

This time I stormed the place with a friend and 2 two year olds. They handled it like the professionals they were! So sweet to my girls who«got nails like mommy» As usual they were proficient and provided great service. I waited a little longer to be cashed out than I liked(30 mins at least at the drying station) but the service and job totally overshadowed the long wait. This is definitely my permanent spa go to!

Very customer service oriented; nice place, friendly people. I was having a difficult conversation on the phone when the pedicurist apologized that I had a bad experience with the company I was speaking with. Kindly he offered a free design on my toe and an extra glass of wine, lol. So glad there are some who care about your well being, even when its your first time!

Even when they’re overworked I have never had a bad experience here. I am always treated with the utmost care. They are very attentive to all of my needs and my pedis and manis always look amazing! I came here the first time that I ever had my brows done and the woman was so incredibly sweet and gentle. I always recommend this place!!!

Not worth the money!!! $ 50 for a pedicure and you would expect the polish to be on the nails and not slopped all over your skin.

I’ve been a client for 6 years now and I refuse to go anywhere else. The service is impeccable, the staff is friendly, extremely sanitary, wine while you relax(or water/soda pop), and the selection is amazing. I recommend this spa to anybody who is wanting top notch service & making an appointment would be best so you will receive undivided attention… I am extremely ‘picky’ about these kind of places as I’ve been to a few prior to discovering this place. Try it… its a very personable place to visit and unwind(especially after a day at a very stressful job, as in my case). I’m sorry for those who wrote a ‘negative’ review. I cannot speak for them.

I am embarrassed for them. This was THEWORST gel manicure I have ever received. I just relocated to the Quarry area and thought I would try this place as it seemed to have decent reviews. I get regular maicures so it’s not like my nails were difficult to work with. My technician tried to scrape my previous gel mani off without any acetone soak. I asked her to soak them off and she literally dipped my entire hand in a bowl of acetone. She barely filed my nails(I had to refile them when I got home so as not to snag my nails on my clothes they were so rough), she cut me twice with the cuticle trimmers, and then there is the polish. It is streaky and splotchy and on some nails the gel is overflowing onto my skin and on other nails it isn’t even covering the full nail. It is so bad that I don’t even want them to try to fix it. I am going to find another place this weekend to fix the mess that is my manicure right now. Save yourself the $ 38 and and find somewhere else or do them yourself. I guarantee you I could have done a better job.

I go here all the time to get my eye brows waxed. They’re always super nice and friendly. It’s always been very clean every time I go in. Even though I go all the time for wax, I finally decided to get a pedicure there. I usually go somewhere else but I always see tons of people getting them there. It looked very pretty and I was satisfied, however, It started to chip off in like 4 days. I felt like I wasted my money. But overall, I’ll definitely still keep going there.

I love this place– been going since it first opened. The owners Helen and David are really nice and will remember you if you come back and talk to them. Cindy is a hoot! You can ask for wine, soda or water too. If you can, call in advance to setup an appointment if you have a group of friends going.

They took me in at 6:15 on a Saturday, not telling me they closed at 7 for a Shellac manicure and pedicure. They managed to take off Shellac color on pedicure and manicure and give me pedicure and manicure within 45 minutes. I am not a confrontational person, when I protested, they told me it looked great… I am not blind, it looked horrible. going to try to upload a pic of my heels… a picture is always worth a thousand words.

I’ve been to Basse Nails a few times now and I will say I’ve enjoyed it each time. I’ve gotten the deluxe pedicure which was great, a manicure, and I discovered Shellac polish here for the first time as well! They have always done a great job but the only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because I’m not quite sure how they sterilize their instruments. I like the nail salons that sterilize using the autoclave and open the bags in front of you so you can see they are getting a fresh set. Also, the one time I got a manicure he accidently cut my cuticle which happens, but it freaks me out since I’m not 100% sure how clean the tools are. So, over all i’m a fan because I keep returning. It’s close to my work and they have aways gotten me in quickly, they are super nice and usually offer something to drink. Oh! And other than the cuticle incident the manicure was beautiful and the second time I got Shellac done without the manicure, it was also beautiful! So yes, it’s worth giving them a try!
