Club Sirius

A club setting in the smallest venue possible. The word «club» is grossly misappropriated here. The shots taste like pure alcohol.
We had to wait in line to get in because we had to wait for people to leave. Then, had to squeeze through a wall of people in front of the entrance to even get inside. If you like listening to hip-​hop electro mixes and feeling claustrophobic this is the place for you. +1 star for the bartender who was totally on it and didn’t leave me waiting too long.

Great place to chill and have fun, with no drama!!! Great drinks and service!!! Judy Is fucking awesome!!! One of the best bartenders of the century!!! Have gone to many places but this is one place I will always return to!!!

This is an awesome «dive» bar. Yes it’s small, but boy does it pack a punch! Bartenders were on point, and the drinks were consistent.
The cherry on top was the music. I mean the dj is a Miami, LA top club level talent stowed away in tiny San Antonio lol. Long story short, it was a great night!
Went on a Friday night and it was a decent sized crowd. Not too packed, so it was perfect.
Definitely check it out! Will be back if I’m in the area again.

I had a blast at this bar. Ok… I’ll be honest. I had WAY too much fun there. The bartender was super nice. The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was fun and enjoying themselves. A lot!
In the interest of full disclosure the real reason for my 5 star review is the aftermath of my night. I left my credit card at the club without paying up. Not only did the establishment protect my card, they mailed it to me with a nice note. I’d love to say this is the first time I’ve ever done this, but, alas, that would not be correct. But I’ve never had my card mailed to me with a nice card of thanks.

This place sucks!!! It’s small and packed with regulars. We came to San Antonio to have a good time and this place pretty much ruined our Labor Day weekend. We waited 20 minutes to get a drink, while all the regulars/​locals were getting drinks left to right and were literally laughing that we were just standing there waiting. There was a guy to the left of us that had been waiting longer and the bartenders didn’t even knowledge him. I thought it was personal, but when my turn came, same thing happened to us. For a second I thought I was at a house party. I’m sorry I walked into your bar, I thought I was welcomed there. When the bartender finally gave us a drink, We asked him why he was skipping us, only because he made it so obvious. His reply was «if you don’t like it then leave.» I hope the owner knows how non-​locals are being treated. I don’t understand how this place has good reviews. This place sucks. If you’re not a local don’t go there. This place doesn’t deserve any stars, but for the purpose of this site I have to give it one. MANAGEMENT you need to consider rehiring new staff.

I love this place. larry the bartender is awesome. Dj slic ric is the BEST dj in texas. And I’ve been to 6^th in austin. Nobody’s music or vibe beats sirius. Great video bar and drinks are awesome and cheap. dont go anywhere else downtown to drink it’s all over priced. I go many of times there most on sats. The only downfall is its such a small bar and gets packed and you will be stuck in a line to get in after 11pm. I’d stay longer if it was bigger and had a dance floor and more seating.

The Dj had me moving all night! The drinks were on point! Glad I found this spot! I had a BLAST!

It’s a small place with an interesting atmosphere. The drinks are cheep and it’s a street over from the ridiculously priced river walk. The bar tender are awesome people and good conversationalists. My only issue is the bathroom is one pisser and the door doesn’t lock.

Went here for Fiesta and it was a total disappointment. We have been going to this bar for a few years and have always had a great experience but that is no longer true. We were with a large group of friends and were planning to be there for a while but the bartender who’s name I do not know (worked day shift on 4÷25÷15) was rude and continued to ignore us and serve other patrons over us. At one point I ordered a round of drinks and he went on to make drinks for the people right next to us. After waiting for over 15 minutes for the drinks I ordered I finally got his attention and with great frustration I told him to cancel the drinks and close my tab which he proceeded to do with no apology for the wait or for the fact he did not make the drinks. This establishment has lost my business and I will be sure to spread the word about what a huge disappointment this place has become. I wish I didn’t even have to give it the one star because it really deserves no star. I leave a note to management. You should treat all your patrons equal and not single out who deserves better service over others.

Great place to catch a spurs game, hear good dj’s on the weekend and have a awesome time with SA locals and friends.
It’s small. No doubt about that. But what you get is an awesome location (next to River Walk), good drinks, even better prices, and staff that are there to make sure you have a good time.

We just kind of wandered in here after a conference. As the only gay one of the group, I was totally stoked.

Went out while on vacation. Had a great time, but it was a littlenon the spendy side. Restrooms could have been a little cleaner for me to give it any more stars.

Just one street over from the River Walk (great location) no cover on the Friday night we went– stopped by around 10:30p-11p and bouncer told us was at max capacity. 5 minutes later he let all 5 of us in. umm lol ok. was a little confusing since inside did not look crowded one bit!
Inside was divey-​lounge type atmosphere which i loved, pretty small space but was not a big deal as it was a pretty good crowd of people having a good time. Bartenders all were nice and drinks were cheap!
The DJ was AWESOME! Kept us on the dance floor until last call (huh whats that?)

I had been meaning to get here for the infamous Chamoy Margarita… it did not disappoint! It was sweet and sour! Just perfect!
The seating was tight but it didn’t keep customers away. I was sitting close to the door and the bouncer kept regulating incoming traffic.
Definitely returning!

Love this place! It’s right next to the River Walk (no RW access), but is not completely consumed with tourists. A lot of locals hang out here and New Years Eve was no exception.
It’s a diverse mix of people. Some trendy, some really casual, some gay, some straight. The music is just as unpredictable. Jukebox or DJ. Every other song can be anything from hip hop to Tejano to pop to classic rock. Something for every person and every mood!
And thew drinks… the drinks are CHEAP but great and the bartenders rock! If you’re looking for a little relief from all the RW crowd walk upstairs and have a few at Club Sirius. It really is more of a bar than club. Oh, and the ladies room is always surprisingly clean.

Location is really good and the setting can be intimate at times. It’s just the right amount of touristy and locally combined.
The bartender was cool and told us the specials upon request. Prices were normal for a tourist location.
The Chamoy Margarita is just that. I’m not a huge fan of chammy, but my g/​f loves it and she was in heaven.

Why is a sports bar called club anything? I don’t know. I don’t know why the drinks were so cheap either but I’m not complaining.
Came here to watch some of March Madness and the Spurs game, glad we did. Beer was real inexpensive. $ 2.50 a draft. They also had deals on jäger shots but I elected to pass on that. Only 70 proof and taste like ass, no thanks.
Lots of televisions and a giant big screen in the back. Friendly people in the bar. Met some locals and people also on vacation. Got to hang with them for the night while watching some crazy games.
This should be the spot to catch a good game if you’re in San Antonio.

Although there is limited seating you will find a very extensive drink list which is displayed on the wall as you enter. I’ve always been fond of CS mainly because its almost always open, has remarkably intelligent bartenders, usually has a spot available by a video game and the TV usually is playing something most excellent.
I heard they have a DJ every night now, which helps keep the crowd entertained with hopes to bring in the local bar hopping booty shakers.
Club Sirius is top 4, my favorite hole in the wall bars in the downtown area.
