Just opened our mail expecting to see our security deposit check. Not only did we NOT get our security deposit back, we received a bill for $ 2636! 80% of the charges are absolutely bogus and we have neighbors/​friends who are willing to act as witnesses to the fact that we left the property move-​in ready. We will be taking this to our lawyers to dispute, as this is absolutely insane, and see if we can get out of paying a ridiculous SCAM company. I hope you all sleep well at night knowing you’re stealing money from families struggling to support their four children and who did all they could to keep a property beautiful for an apparently thankless landlord (lady).

MILITARY STAY AWAY!!! They are pro’s at know what details to exaggerate an which ones to leave out. This is a predator company. Not even getting into the issues I had when moving in, now that I am retiring and moving out they tricked me into a month by month lease with a $ 200 increase!!! Additionally they now have the house up for sale and I am enduring 2 ½ months of them showing the house at all hours inconvenient to normal living. The first clue that they were back to their tricks is comical and seams insignificant but I had a half of a bag of chips on the counter, they show the house, few hours later I go to have a chip… and they are all pulverized into dust (not how I left them). Then the next day they show the house I realize that some of my drawers have been opened… in the kitchen with built in cabinets maybe but nightstands??? This is not a furnished house for sale. And today I leave again so they can show the home (I’m just trying to help the owner out and I’m sure they have no idea this is happening) someone went number 2 in the and didn’t flush. No more. I will be here anytime they want to enter. All this could have been avoided if I would have just not tried to help them and when I got my retirement orders enacted the Soldiers and Sailors Act and left them with no notice. Don’t be nice to them… not only will they take advantage of you they will be rude about it. PS this is Texas, you enter my residence unannounced I will shot you.

If you don’t have a realator yet, ask for Steve Silver! He is committed to helping you find a house and will help you through the whole process. He knows the area well and makes great recommendations based off of your preferences. He really gets to know your family. He was great with our 2 boys and when they started losing steam, he was very patient with them. My 3-​year-​old loved him! He would ask if we were going to see «Mr. Steve» and even made me call him back one day when he heard him on speakerphone so he could say hi! He was very patient with us as we looked for our first house and gave us his honest feedback through the process without trying to sway us one way or another. When we made an offer on a house that was never viewed by the seller, he got on the phone with the other realator to let him know what he thought of that situation as my husband was a veteran looking to buy that house on Veteran’s Day. He was with us through every step including inspections, setting up utitlites, finding out specific answers to our questions on the home we bought, and the final closing process.

If I could give a zero I would. My property is being «managed,» and I use that term loosely. I am having serious issues with the tenants and they won’t return my phone calls! They are always quick to take their fees though.

STAY AWAY FROM RENTALS/​PROPERTY MANAGEMENT!
Renting from D’ann Harper Property Management has been horrible. The property we moved into was filthy and smells like smoke. When I complained, they said it was «pristine». Ha! I wish I could post all of the pictures of the disgusting baseboards, filthy walls, dirty, loose, burned carpet, but I can only post so many. and the paint is horrendous. They told me it would take 10 days to be ready and I can’t see anything that was done to get the property ready during those 10 days, while I paid $ 1000 to stay in a hotel. Stay away!

****MILITARY FAMILIES STAY AWAY****I would recommend NEVER renting or doing business with this company. They are money hungry and could care less about anything else. The house we rented had some serious issues In the summer time… it was not properly insulated in the master bedroom. Whoever built it onto the house didnt add a way to get to the air conditioning unit and so it was unable to be fixed without ripping the wall out so in the 100+ weather the master bedroom was 10 – 15 degrees hotter. we had at least 5 fans going and it hardly made a difference. When we asked if they were gonna do anything about it they just ignored the issue… they did the same with several other issues. And when we tried to break our contract due to military orders they tried to make us continue paying for the next couple of months… they didnt even give us half of the money back they owed us and charged us for stuff that was already wrong with the house. .I feel sorry for whoever is in the rental now and hope they are prepared for a scorching hot summer… oh and dont try and argue with them they will just talk over you and then get nasty with you because you’re getting upset over it… if I didnt have to give it a star I wouldnt because they certainly dont deserve one

Buying your first home is a stressful experience and almost enough to induce panic attacks. Of course it couldn’t be as easy as you think while fantasizing about lounging in your new beautiful home. That’s where D’ann Harper comes in. It was a fortunate blessing that I was referred to this company and managed to land a realtor that was attentive and knew his business. Steve Bennett was able to calm my nerves and hold my hand through every painful step of the process. He was there for the inspection, he was there for the closing, he was more than willing to call and deal with the mortgage brokers when they were being so hard to work with. In the end, Steve really did earn his commission. I highly recommend Steve and this agency.

What a nightmare. CB D’ann Harper is absolutely not the place to go for property management. They were complacent in the management of my rental property, unresponsive to the tenants requests for repairs, and it cost me a lot of money as a result. The tenant left in the middle of the night after repairs weren’t done on my rental property and had I not notified the manager that he was gone, she probably still wouldn’t know 6 mos later. They were incompetent in management and refused to take responsibility for their mistakes. They didn’t do anything proactively expect for charge fees and pass the buck. Not a good business and definitely not one I would recommend to anyone.

I recommend asking for Debbie Backlund if you are looking for a Real Estate Agent.
This recommendation was definitely earned because my husband and I have had bad experiences with previous Real Estate Agents. We were probably somewhat high maintenance customers for this reason.
Debbie comes across to me as a sincere and honest person. She is very personable and friendly. She did a really good job of finding us a very nice house. We love our new house!
Debbie was really in tune with what we were looking for in a house as well as the location. She was always immediately responsive to all our questions and needs. She is also experienced with assisting military movers which was a plus for us because she was familiar with the particular challenges of our situation.
It is hard to find a good Real Estate Agent, in my opinion. Different people have different needs and preferences for buying a home so that makes it particularly difficult. We were really happy with Debbie and would certainly recommend her to anybody or use her services again.
