This was the first Mediterranean restaurant I tried when I moved into the City all the way from Seattle, WA and I must say it’s clearly one of the best in SA. Customer service is great which I really appreciated as even the owner of this restaurant came to greet me and give me a proper welcome to the city. Food is genuine and very delicious. Stop by if you want to give your taste buds a well deserved meal.

Must have hit them on an off night. Food=pretty darn good. Smokey and creamy baba ganoush, hummus was solid as well. Chicken seemed overlooked. Pita that is served with meals is fresh and good; perfect for tearing and sharing. Service=a bit overwhelmed. Nice but no time to pay attention to any single table of diners. Also was a bit of a pita bread dictator. Everyone felt guilty for asking for more than the two pitas in the basket. Oh well, maybe next time.

I last visited Dallah over a year ago, and recently suggested it for a dinner with a vegetarian friend. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be recommending it in the future. The reasons: mediocre service, small portions, uneven food quality. I would suggest to try Darna on Fredericksburg instead. Starting with the food; the house flat bread provided was extremely hard, and without flavor. Not even warm. Hard to enjoy the hummus that comes with your meal with poor quality carbs. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and my friend the falafel wrap. For my $ 9.99 dinner entrée, I had a very meager scoop of chicken, a small Mediterranean salad with exactly one olive, and conservative smears of hummus and garlic sauce. It was a dieter’s portion– I had been hoping to take home leftovers. The entrée plate food itself was good, nothing stellar, just very small portioned. The food DID come very fast, though. The service was a bit slow to begin with, and got worse with time. No attitude or friendliness issues, just slow. We had told the waitress to keep our checks separate, and when she did not, it took her some time to eventually come back with two separate checks.

This place has amazing gyros and I’m picky about my gyros considering i’m part middle eastern. This location offers an authentic middle eastern taste. As opposed to other places that I visit…‘you can tell it isn’t the real deal.

We’ve eaten here a couple of times now and really enjoyed it. The food is tasty, and the restaurant is well kept and has a nice atmosphere. My favorite dish so far has been the beef kabobs. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the dipping sauce was delicious. It’s located in the middle of a small shopping center and is not easy to spot from the street, so I think this qualifies as a hidden gem! We plan to be back.

Tucked away in a seemingly desolate shopping center, Dallah is such a pleasant surprise. It was previously owned under a different name, but with this new ownership, you get a new name, a slightly different look inside, and everything else is very different. The service: easily 5 stars. The staff are on point, very polite, and sweet. Haven’t had a bad experience yet. They’re super pleasant to interact with. The food: their gyro wraps rival Pashas. They have so much meat, so much flavor. Their salad dressing? Whatever it is, it’s amazing. Their hummus and naan are pretty tasty too. It’s a quaint location that clearly focuses on food and service, and in the restaurant biz, isn’t that what matters most? Dallah earned its 5-stars, fo sho.

SOMUCHYUM!!! Best Middle Eastern Cuisine I have had in San Antonio, hands down. Everything on the menu is exquisite! The best part is the fresh and scrumptious naan that they make in their clay pit and bring out soft, hot, and piping fresh. Also, the owner of the restaurant is incredibly kind and very mindful of all of his guests. He came to our table and those of the other patrons to check on us and make sure our already great experience was made even better!

With the number of fantastic Mediterranean options available in San Antonio, the Alamo city is quietly becoming one of the best places to indulge in cuisine from the Mid East. Dallahs continues the trend of great Mediterranean restaurants and ups the ante in many ways. Each entrée is accompanied with piping hot bread baked fresh in a traditional stove served with zatar and olive oil. This is seriously the best bread out of any Mediterranean place I’ve been to(and I quite like Pasha’s bread). My family had to be careful not to overindulge in bread because the food we were served was equally on par. The falafel we ordered were perfectly cooked, with a texture and flavor that was nutty, soft, and had a slight hint of garlic. It was a perfect accompaniment to the baba ghanouj that was brimming with the classic smoky eggplant flavor we all come to expect. The entrees are great, and include rice with a dollop of garlic sauce. Our lamb kebab was cooked to perfection and the chicken was well-seasoned. What I really love about this place is the atmosphere and hospitality you feel when entering. The owner is fantastic and makes you feel at home, as if you are accompanying him to dinner with his family at home. The restaurant has a great ambiance and an excellent patio area for those wishing to eat outside. Whether you are looking for a relaxing dinner with family or a low-key date night meal, Dallah offers a great surrounding to enjoy a meal with others. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the quality of Dallah. It’s very hard to stand out in the crowded sea of Mediterranean fare in San Antonio, but Dallah does so with excellent food and service. I look forward to coming back.

This has to be San Antonio’s #1 Restaurant for Mediterranean food. The food tastes so good! The«Koobideh Kofta Kabab» is out of this world. Furthermore, the staff is super nice and friendly. The gentleman that appears to be the manager or owner is there 7 days a week, working 12 – 13 hours a day alongside his wife. They clearly care about the food and the customer’s experience and that is why the result is this amazing food. I have ordered food for pick up over 12 times already. I can’t get enough.

Food was so good! It was mine and my finances first time going here and our server suggested we got the dinner for two combo. It came with a salad that was to die for! Perfectly dressed and crisp and fresh. Followed by a sampler appetizer with a perfect falafel, stuffed grape leaves and another spinach filled pastry thing. Omg. By the end of the appetizer we were already getting full! Following the appetizer we got the most delicious chicken ever and gyro. Lamb isn’t my favorite meat however for what it was the flavor was good and it was fresh… You can see where they cook it right behind the counter and it is really cool! The dinner was only $ 25 which for all the food we got was astonishing! As we left we were personally thanked by the owner who was so nice and welcoming! We will definitely be returning to this restaurant. They even deliver! If you want something fresh, light and different from the typical dinner out this place with absolutely hit the spot!

Good Mediterranean food. Tasted fresh. Service was excellent. Nice décor inside, it was a relaxing environment. Dish was good, the meat was hot and fresh. No rice if you opt for salad. $ 9.99 for two pieces of meat and small salad. Not extremely filling because the portion is small but it tastes good.

Dallah is one of my favorite restaurants in all of San Antonio. Could not find a nicer wait staff. The owner personally comes and checks on customers himself. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant also has a nice atmosphere, perfect for a date. Highly recommend.

Probably my favorite restaurant in San Antonio. It breaks my heart that this place isn’t packed every night. Do yourself a favor and make the time to dine here. I highly recommend the Chenjeh kebab with rice and grilled tomato! Give it a shot!

Middle Eastern hospitality is world renowned. As a guest, you are always welcomed in with love and open arms, hot tea, and comforting food. Dallah epitomizes this hospitality. I have visited Dallah three times and have yet to be disappointed. The owner, who is ever present and chatty, friendly, and courteous, has obviously chosen to do what few restaurant owners are able to: invest in and improve the décor and accoutrements, use high quality ingredients, prepare food fresh, and motivate staff to provide warm, attentive service. I am a fan of the popular Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurant Pasha, but the owner of Dallah has really pushed food quality and service to an even higher level. While Dallah offers similar cuisine to Pasha, it stands as one of the three best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern restaurants in our city. The owner has invested a great deal of time and money in touching up and decorating the interior of the restaurant. What was once drab, dull, and ordinary has now become colorful, inviting, and intimate. Each time I have visited, I have always opted for the open patio in front of the restaurant. The light fixtures, the new water fountain, the improved patio surface, and the ever-growing decorative potted plants make the front patio a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner with company. Rather than ordering a lunch or dinner plate, it is my preference to order a small number of appetizers with a soup and hot tea. The freshness and seasoning of the hummus make it a natural choice. However, I greatly recommend the dolmas, which come with an excellent tzatziki. The baba ghanoush, falafel, and lentil soup are nice as well. I really wish they made a hearty Persian aash soup here, like the Persian restaurant Zaytune does. My only gripe is that when I ordered the koobideh kabab, it could have been cooked just a little less so as to retain its flavor and juiciness. Dallah is already one of my favorite places to enjoy a nice lunch or quiet, comfortable dinner with a loved one. The food is good and the service is always courteous. Drop by, have a meal, and talk with the owner to experience the meaning of Middle Eastern hospitality.

I was very pleased to find a Mediterranean/Persian restaurant so close to my current work location! The ambiance is clean and relaxing. The service is quick and friendly. The food is simply delicious! Everything is cooked fresh and tastes scrumptious. I ordered the Beef and Chicken Kabob plate with Basmati Rice, a small Greek Salad, and the freshly made Falafel. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection! I will definitely return soon!

I think Dallah is average to me, but I’ll probably return for the BEEFSHAWARMA at least. I ordered delivery from the delivery ring and everything came as ordered. I got the beef shawarma plate with salad and hummus and a chicken shawarma plate with basmati rice in place of the hummus and salad. I was craving rice and was glad they were able to do that for me. PROS: Beef shawarma was probably a 4 – 5 for me and better than Pasha’s shawarma to me. I haven’t tasted anything like it. I think maybe there is mint or some special herbs in it. It was delicious and moist even after I warmed it up the next day. I’d probably just come back for this. The tzatiki sauce here is nice and garlicky and complements the shawarma well, but isn’t overpowering like Darna’s. The hummus was also very good and tasted homemade. I could probably eat a lot of it haha. I ordered bread on the side and it was about as good as Pasha’s bread. CONS: Chicken shawarma was flavorful but on the drier side for me and I’m not sure I’d order it again. The outside of the chicken pieces were kind of crisp like it was the outer skin part. The inside part was dry though. I’ve definitely had chicken that’s juicier. I’d give it a 2.5. The basmati rice was a little bit on the drier side. I’d give it a 3. I liked how it had some crisp on top though. It reminds me of tahdig, which is Persian rice in which getting that outer crisp is all the rave. The portions are on the smaller side compared to other mediterrannean and Persian restaurants I’ve been to(Pasha and Darna), but I still had leftover beef and chicken. The shawarma meals don’t come with bread or rice. Standard is shawarma with hummus and salad. I thought that was strange and I wasn’t super happy about having to pay extra for the bread and replacing my hummus and salad with rice. A lot of places come with rice and hummus and the bread is always free usually. Overall, I’d definitely come back for the beef shawarma and hummus, but I don’t really recommend the chicken.

Dallah is a Mediterranean cuisine, their gyros and naan are delicious! I had a gyro plate for $ 9.99+tax which included Greek salad, tzatziki, hummus and gyro. Some friends had the gyro wrap which is basically the same except it’s wrapped in a wrap(that was redundant)! FOOD: 4⁄5 SERVICE: 4⁄5 AMBIANCE: 4⁄5

Dallah Mediterranean is a quiet, relaxed restaurant tucked slightly away in the corner of a business complex. The waitstaff is very prompt, amiable, and attentive; the atmosphere pleasant. Menu variety is more than enough and prices agreeable if not just a tad high for what you receive in all. Rating specifics(i.e. 1 – 5, low-high)… Overall recommendation = 4; Food taste and quality = 4; Portion size = 3; Price = 3.5; Restaurant atmosphere = 4.5; General service = 4; Waitstaff amiability = 4.5; Location and/or first impression = 4.5.
