Ordered a pizza to go and a beer while waiting. Bill with tip…$ 35. While the pizza was good, better than most in fact, was a bit pricey. Just not sure the whole thing was worth the price paid Lower marks for price.

First time eating here. We came on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. It was packed but our wait to be seated was not too long. Our waitress got our drinks right away and brought us our appetizer within 10 minutes – which was a trio bruschetta — -which was very good. After that it seemed like it took 30 minutes to get our pizza. I found this to be surprising since they are thin pizzas. What made me upset even more was the family that say next to us 20 minutes later were served 5 minutes after us. I am thinking our waitress forgot to put order in? In the end the pizza was tasty and hot which made the wait worth it; however couldn’t give it a higher mark because of wait time.

It’s all about the Pie! They make great Pie here, if yuz can’t go to Nu Yuk forget about it come here for a great slice of Pie! In Nu Yuk it’s da wada in da dough, here the sauce very good add fresh basil to add a kick. They have really good sangria too. Staff very good and attentive, front of house very coordinated, back of house turns out a great brick oven Pie!

This place has always been our go to spot in AZ when family was in town. First time at this location and did not disappoint. The pizza is always great we always get the White pizza with chicken and ricotta cheese and tomatoes. The pizza was cooked really fast barely any wait time.

I love the Grimaldi’s restaurants in NYC, for many years wondered if they would open restaurants in other places and was happy to learn they were close to me in Texas. It is almost as good as the pizza in NY, only missing the basil before baking and capers that I love to add. You don’t need to many toppings, one or two are enough to enjoy the flavor of the dough, melted cheese and delicious tomato sauce. It is the bet pizza you could ever try…

Man this pizzeria was very good, wife and kiddos ordered a large pepperoni with red peppers and Italian sausage, I can’t give this one a 4 star bcuz they overwhelmed our pizza with cheese, but I mean a lot of cheese that by the third slice I felt clogged! Lol! Beer was awesome, they let me take a sample of some of their beers so that’s a thumbs up of course! Service– this was super, the waiter was very generous enough to let me try samples of their beer. Also, we ordered what I think was the sampler trio bruschetta which were very good except the one with olives, and y’all know what?, our waiter was even awesome enough to substitute that olive bruschetta for another marinara bruschetta since we loved it so much. Our pizza came really fast like in 10−15mins so that was also a thumbs up. So overall I would definitely be coming back here again since the kids loved it too.

I probably should give them 5 stars, but I have had better pizza. It is definitely my go to pizza place in San Antonio. If you like pesto sauce you have to try their blend of pesto and red sauce with your pizza.

The pizza is fresh and delicious but I really can’t see myself going back. # Confusing Menu The waiter had to explain to me two times the differences in the sauces and what the Calzones consisted of because the menus don’t clearly state the differences. Even after going over the menu with me, it took me a good 10 minutes later to realize I had to pay for the toppings indivuallly which ranged from $ 2-$ 4 each(for either Pizzas or Calzones) or you could order pizza from a small list from Chef’s Selections. # Very Expensive We finally ordered two personal pizzas from Chef’s Selections(Margherita and Don with Jalapeños), two waters and the total came out to over $ 40. The pizza came out 26 minutes after we ordered it. Both pizzas were very good, the quality in flavor and freshness is undeniable BUT not THAT good or worth that price, in my opinion of course. Overall, the service was okay, the food was good but unfortunately the price will deter me from coming again.

Jacob, our waiter was on point. This place seems to be always busy. We tried to go yesterday but the wait was over an hour. Today, it was only 30 minutes or so and we browsed inside Barnes and Noble. The food was great. I had a slice of the white pizza with garlic(the garlic was indeed present, and delicious), pepperoni(crispy, tasty) and my pizza was the pesto pizza with chicken and spinach. All were delicious, as I ate more than I probably should. All in all, if you are looking for a fantastic pizza joint that will satisfy your hunger, this place will do it. The atmosphere is busy but pleasant. The bathrooms could be larger, as it seems somewhat small due to the size of the restaurant. For that, I deduct one star.

Positives: Great food, environment and staff! Food is always fresh and amazing! Negatives: parking sucks, wait time is terrible at peak hours, don’t bring a stroller because they force you to fold it and put it up. They do offer a stand for your child but it’s not sturdy. Also the restroom situation is bad, be sure you use the restroom before arriving. Update: I hear they are now on the«no wait» app or whatever that’s called. Overall it’s okay, if the food wasn’t so amazing we wouldn’t keep going back!

If I could give zero stars If I could. The hostess here is so unbelievably rude! Right when I walked up to the stand she immediately put her head down. I had to say hello loudly before she even acknowledged me. When she said it would be a 20 min wait, I told her I tried to check in on the no wait app. Her smart ass response, instead of just saying she’s sorry and that they’ve had problems with it, was«yeah its unreliable and it doesn’t work so you need to come in an hr before you want to sit down and eat». Why would we come in an hr before if there was only a 20 min wait?!! That makes absolutely no sense. Just because you work at the la Cantera location doesn’t mean you can be a complete and total bitch and treat people like shit. Needless to say, I will NOT be returning to this location ever again!

Just ok pizza that carries the high standards of NYC-style pies. I was especially disappointed at the spongy crust, instead of one with a crisp outer and chewy inner. The sauce and cheese did not compensate for my disappointment either. At such a high price for pizza, Grimaldi’s had no redeeming qualities for me. Simply average pizza at above-market prices. However, it could be to your tastes. Go here at least to get free pizza on your birthday.

Expensive freakin pizza, it’s good but you have to pay an arm and a leg for toppings, I don’t feel comfortable paying that much for veggies or cheese and I am in love with both. The pizza was yummy, but it’s not too hard to get good pizza in San Antonio(to me) and nothing seemed too unique about this place for me to choose it instead of other great pocket friendly places One thing, I did feel like the pizza was pretty fresh, I didn’t feel bogged down after eating it at all, so that’s a plus! I appreciate the service and pizza :) I probably will be back when my wallet is okay with it.

The pizza was great, little pricy for some pizza though. They charge per topping. Wish they had pre set pizzas to choose from though. Great location and atmosphere. Service at this location was better.

Even though this place is a chain, they do a top notch job with their pizza. I highly recommend the white pizza with garlic, something a little bit different than your normal tomato pizza. The La Cantera location seems a bit smaller than the Quarry location.

Best brick oven pizza in San Antonio. So good the wait can be an hour or longer, so get on the list do some shopping and come back on a empty stomach. For the kids entertainment while they custom pizza they will give the kids some pizza dough to play with. Luckily once your seated the pizza doesn’t take to long. Staff is friendly and service is good. Even though the Sangria is great the only downside to the place is the size of the bar. But the sign doesn’t say«Pizza and Bar» so it’s ok.
