History
Established in 1993.
In 1887, D.G. Rogers acquired a 2829 acres ranch in the County of Bexar, Texas where his son Henry successfully bread and sold horses. In 1902, Henry and his wife Mary gave birth to Blanche Rogers, who two months later became the heir to the entire ranch. Tough times followed the family over the next few years, Henry would pass away leaving Mary and Blanche to tend to the ranch and in 1929 the Great Depression hit. In order to sustain their needs, all but 100 acres of the ranch were leased. A ranch hand named Ed Wiseman was hired and in 1934 he and Blanche married. Ed soon brought the land back in the family and back into production. Devoting himself to the ranch, he began to make it prosper. As the years passed, the successful ranching and farming operations family branching out and the city encroaching, the family decided to sell 200 acres of the ranch to Woodbine Development Corporation.
