Your perfect one stop vacation spot!!! I love vacationing at a place that doesn’t require having to drive around. You have a place to swim (river, pool, wave pool, etc), you get free s’mores!!!, you have a variety of restaurants at reasonable prices, you can get drinks as you lounge around in the river, there’s bike riding (bikes provided), golfing, volleyball, movie nights and so much more. Perfect place to vacation with the family. We love, love, love it!!! We will be back in March!

Wanted a relaxing spa day and ended up at the Hilton Hill Country here on clearly the wrong day. The spa manager was aweful, waited forever as she checked out two customers and complained about the inoperability of the computer to check out. After 20 minutes of this madness I was in a more stressful state than when I walked in. So up to the room I went and found an over priced motel six room… Oh well, needless to say off to the Hyatt and Wildflower Spa I ran. OMG what a great place this is. The Hyatt is most wonderful

This place gets an A-​OK only because we’ve had the pleasure of also staying at the competition which is the nearby JW Marriott Resort. Both were enjoyable stays and our focus is always the lazy river and we were blessed with decent warm temperatures to partake in the swimming. One difference in experience was the fire alarm on Saturday at 10pm… partially lucky for us we found out while returning from dining out but I bet that was an inconvenience for everyone… however better safe than sorry. The bed sheet or something wasn’t right as it made me itch all night long. We informed management next day and there were on top of it and send out EcoLab to test for insects/​mites etc. Very professional as they sent us the test results. Good job Hyatt however our preference is for the newer JW Marriott (if room prices are equal).

This place is amazing! Stayed here again for a family getaway. We have 3 small children aged 1,4,5 and I love how easily I can keep track off them all within the gated waterpark area and beach. If they keep stepping up the beach side restaurant service I’ll love it even more! The waterslide is really great as is the super long lazy river.
Camp Hyatt is amazing, so nice to drop off the boys and have some downtime with baby. They recently changed their hours and booking policies which makes it harder on parents as you have to choose their morning or afternoon time slot, no longer a flexible hours setting which we definitely preferred.
This is such a beautiful, timeless, cottage feeling resort with the most outstanding giant trees and lush landscaping. There is so much to do every day, from the waterpark, lawn activities, game room, occasional animal presentations, kids park, movie nights, bike rides, campfire s’mores, squirrel watching, peanuts and shuffleboard and darts, and the Spa is great too.
We love the spring house café breakfast buffet, it’s wonderful. The regency club is fantastic when it’s open in summer. The fine dining option Antlers Lodge hasn’t wowed us with their food, but the setting and views of golf course are worth the visit for at least an appy and drinks. And take note Hyatt, red wine should always be over poured, not underpoured!
We love the rooms, but a couple times cleanliness was not up to my standards. I always do a room check and have had housekeeping come in a re mop floors if necessary. I’ve found bedding is always clean and perfect so that’s good. If you ever have any issues, they are very good at resolving.
Overall, the experience is amazing and no criticism amounts to taking off a star for us. We will be back again and again.

My husband made reservations for the upcoming Mother’s Day brunch. He was told that it was $ 69 instead of the $ 49 advertised in the newspaper for guests over 49 years of age. That ruined my Mother ‘s Day! They should honor what was in the San Antonio Sunday paper.

Stayed here for business/​pleasure. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Free freshly baked cookies at check-​in. We requested a quite room and got one on the other end of the hotel complex. It was quiet but what a hike to get to it. Nothing too special to say about the room. Comfy bed. A/​C was a bit loud during the night. There was small fridge in the room and complimentary water was left everyday after the room was cleaned. The lazy river was beautiful. Looked like a real river. Lots of area’s to sit and enjoy the sun and towels are provided. No where to leave valuables but in the room. I did leave my book, shoes and towel and suntan lotion on my chair when I floated around on the river and they were still there when I got back. I put my room key and iPhone in a water proof pouch and brought that with me on the lazy river. The adult pool looked amazing. It was closed for a function when I was there. I had a breakfast taco and coffee at the General Store. Great friendly staff and tasty food. Close enough to San Antonio for day visits.

It was a nice place to stay. The spa was wonderful and enjoyed the heated pool. They were very nice and the massage was excellent! I enjoyed the expansive pool area and while there were a number of families there there was always a quiet place to sit and read. The two not so great things were foods (average at best) and the very small pours of wine for fairly high prices.
I enjoyed the fact that the windows opened and had screens.

Great family friendly resort! We loved our entire stay. Spend Easter weekend and had plenty of activities already planned by the staff. From late night movie each night on the lawn with courtesy large blankets and complimentary popcorn to unlimited s’mores at the fireplace. Pools where not super warm for the small children but the jacuzzi was good. Easter hunt was great very well organized. The golf course was very nice and the sunset and sunrise at the range where spectacular. Staff was great from the moment we arrived. Only downside is that double beds are only full size would love to for them to have bigger rooms. Will be going back for sure!

I went for my birthday trip with my mom! I had the best experience! The grounds are beautiful. The staff is friendly and food is excellent! I appreciate this hotel! I truly felt so important.
Our spa experience was more than relaxing. The poolside room service was amazing!

We have mixed feelings about this hotel. On the positive side, it’s beautiful, has a ton of fun activities for children (ours was too young for most of it unfortunately, but we can certainly see the appeal for older children), and also has some fun bars and restaurants for adults. Unfortunately, the hotel as a whole just missed the mark for us. Here’s why:
We booked the hotel with a military discount, and while I am grateful for the reduced rate, I don’t agree with placing us in one of the worst and most undesirable rooms in the hotel. I believe military rates are given to give thanks to those serving our country, not to shove them in the rooms nobody wants. We had 1 of maybe 2 total rooms with no balcony (one of the appeals of this resort) and we’re all the way in the back right next to the exit stairs, which was extremely loud. My son (17 months) immediately went into the bathroom when we put him down and when I went to get him and got down to his level, I discovered some sort of diarrhea or vomit all over the underside of the toilet. I’m still praying my son didn’t touch it, but who am I kidding. We called housekeeping to clean it and left the room. When we got back half a day later the room had been cleaned but not the toilet, and by now it was my son’s bedtime. So we had to keep him up and wait while they finally came and cleaned it. They apologized and comped our breakfast and we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately we just never feel like the room was very clean. Every day there were someone’s dark hairs all over the bathroom door (we all have light hair), paint is peeling on doors and walls, etc. The final straw was a disappointing dinner in the main restaurant, where we waited over an hour for our food (not good with a crazy toddler) only to receive food that was cold and incorrect. Again, they apologized and comped us.
The service when something goes wrong is great. They call to apologize and basically comp your breakfast, which is why I gave 3 stars. Also the staff is incredibly friendly. But honestly these things shouldn’t be happening in the first place, especially at a Hyatt Regency Resort. We didn’t come here needing to be comped breakfast, as we weren’t even planning on eating here that often. Also, cleanliness should be a top priority, especially with so many young children around. As much as I wanted to like this hotel, I don’t think we’ll be staying here again.

We love this place!
We felt like we were at a big Texas House Party. Everyone (and I mean all the numerous staff on site) are super friendly and make you feel very welcome and try hard to make you feel at home. There were a ton of outside activities going on all over the grounds (aimed at kids and adults). You can participate in as little or as much as you like (from high energy to relaxed).
The room was spacious and Texas themed with a deck overlooking the green and woody lawn.
Everyone had the best time and we can’t wait to get back!

Was there for a meeting and when I checked in I had a Trainee checking me in and she did a great job. Everyone at the front desk was great and friendly. The room was OK, bed not that great but ok. The dinner party they planned (Antlers Lodge prepared it) was outstanding. The service was great. Even though I am a local I would stay there again.

Could not more highly recommend this resort, it is cozy, with a warm inviting staff, absolutely great!
We moved to this resort after trying to check in at the La Canterra resort, and had a horrible check in experience.
We will definitely be back!

What a blast! If you have kids, this is the place to go (when it’s hot). Just an awesome lazy river/​pool area (most of it shaded!). Great customer service and über-​friendly employees everywhere. Great poolside drinks (Skinny Lemonade) and food (the Pork Nachos were tasty and huge). The General Store serves Starbucks & has excellent Breakfast Tacos (get them loaded all the way). And of course, this resort was impeccably clean and well manscured.
Our 10yr old loved the water park here, and had a total blast doing the wave runner ($ 25 for a 2hr group lesson). Camp Hyatt was worth the $ 15/​hr charge so my wife and I could have a nice dinner and evening alone at La Canterra. Plus the camp counselors kept him well entertained despite there being only one other child.
The Fitness Center was a little disappointing but ok. A few dumbells (10#-50#), an incline bench, and 5 – 6 Machines, all ok, not exceptional. Their cardio selection was better though. 6 treadmills, and both upright and reclining bikes. Also a few ellipticals. Bonus points for being open 24hrs: I’m an early riser.
Can’t say enough about this place! Apply for a Hyatt Visa, use it for 3 – 4 mos, and get 2 nights free at ANY Hyatt for only the cost of the annual fee ($ 89 $??). We used our 2 free nights here and saved $ 500+. Enjoy your time here!

Really can’t say enough about this resort there is something to do for everyone young and old. The service at the Hill country Hyatt is top notch everyone is very friendly and willing to help actually they want to help. The rooms are nice as well a little spacious so you don’t feel too cramped. The resort is also located not too far out side of town where you can still drive to other restaurants in the area within 15 minutes. Whether you live in Texas or out of the state this is a spot that everyone should put on their list as a vacation destination.

I’ve stayed at a variety of properties from the biggest resorts to small boutique inns and B&Bs and Hyatt Regency Hill Country is as good as any, and better than most all of them.
Service: Worth 5 stars alone. Everyone, I mean every single person I encountered during the visit and there were many, was friendly, smiling, greeted me, asked if I needed anything etc. Bonus service points for at different times offering me: free beer samples (um, yes!), free fruit, and even beach balls for the kids.
Amenities: Excellent. Pool, lazy river, the lawn, nature trail, were all fun and picturesque. I utilized the General Store several times for small meals and purchases. There are also two other restaraunts on property and a saloon which I didn’t use. Pool and lazy river were clean. Plenty of inner tubes around for everyone.
Vibe: This is definitely family and kids first, or at least kids are 1A. I kept asking myself would I have fun here if we left the kiddo behind, and I think the answer would still be yes! Because we would then utilize things like the spa, maybe golf and the service would still be top notch. But one thing I noted is that Hyatt Hill Country is set up for the ENTIRE family to have a good time – and that means parents too. There are yoga classes and events like smores and movies daily, and there are also things like poolside and lazy river-​side bars. You can take that as a way to keep the parents chill while kids run wild, or simply super serving their needs or just providing a service. Either way-​its smart and shows this property understands its mission and executes well across the board.
The property is clean and well maintained. I am including the grounds, common areas and rooms. The beds were comfortable. And another pleasant surprise – despite the myriad of kids of all ages, I didn’t hear one sound while I was in my room from other guests next door or below me. That made for sound nights of sleep.
Value: Its not cheap, but you get what you pay for. You could easily bring your family here not leave the grounds and have a great time. And I am sure many guests do just that.
Bottom Line: I wanted to stay another day and I’ll visit again.

We got an excellent deal on two rooms here for Memorial Day weekend. I was THRILLED cause I’ve never stayed at a resort before and have heard amazing things about this Hyatt and its sister hotel Los Pines.
I was psyched.
Clean, quiet, friendly staff. Child/​toddler friendly. Lovely lazy river, gardens, park area, hammocks, horse shoes, walking paths, rocking chairs, flavored waters, badminton… smores and kids movies in the evening? It was the perfect getaway!
I’d happily go back, in fact, I haven’t stopped bugging my hubby to take me back since we left

Mother’s Day brunch was great
Good selection of food; seafood, chicken, to the carving stations all the breakfast items. A wonderful variety of cheeses. They even have a children’s section.
Service was excellent
They also offered valet parking which was nice because it was raining.

The facilities here are great for a conference, wedding, or otherwise large event. This resort is very family focused, so if you have kids, you’ll be more than pleased. If you’re a single business traveller or someone from a large city, you may be less thrilled with your options.
PROS: excellent for large events, huge complex/​lots of space, multiple restaurant options, in-​house spa, friendly and helpful staff in every way, rooms well appointed and clean. Did I mention the very helpful staff? Snaps to the room service ordering and delivery staff, as well as the front desk folks, who were all outstanding.
CONS: wifi is terrible and 4G phone coverage is even worse, room service food quality is low (worst pizza ever; middle school cafeterias have better pizza) and prices are high, overall food quality at events and hotel restaurants is a mixed bag for what you pay (some dishes were great, others bad), location is in the middle of nowhere/​nothing within walking distance.
The pool and lazy river seem to be big hits, but I was there in the dead of winter and lots of those facilities were closed. But the lobby had huge roaring fires, a cart with complimentary iced tea, a welcoming porch with rocking chairs, and lots of other things to do.

Attentive staff, beautiful grounds, interior of the lobby is welcoming and gorgeous.
I went the weekend after Christmas for a «mommy getaway» and was treated to a very relaxing weekend. The bed was comfortable, the room was off to the side, close to the parking lot and was very quiet.
The Sunday breakfast buffet is ridiculously over priced, though, and I’m not sure that they understand what «fresh squeezed orange juice» is, as I’d asked if their oj was, was told it is, and then got a glass of thick, gross, from concentrate OJ. YUCK!
Other than that, wonderful time, wonderful spot and can’t wait to go back!
