My mother is a current patient at Legend Oaks West in San Antonio, TX. To date the experience has been very disappointing to say the least. When we were referred here it was explained to us that our mother would be worked with directly to get her rehabilitated in order to keep her oxygen levels up without any assistance. After being here a week there has been no improvement. Aside from the 30 min a day that they spend with her in PT there is nothing else done to try to get her where she needs to be. None of the nurses are even familiar with why she is here. I’ve had to tell every nurse that i have had interaction with that she is here for PT on her oxygen due to pnemonia. I have been here for a week, from Dallas to be here with my mother while she was in here. I made up my mind last Friday that I would be taken my mother back to Dallas and getting her the healthcare she needs there and spoke with Linda Larson. It was late Friday evening and at the time she was pleasant and easy to deal with. When I reached out to her today it was a complete turnaround. Not only did she not seems to want to assist but she was also rude and condescending, she also showed no empathy nor urgency for our situation. While the stay in the rehab facility was already a negative experience, Ms. Larson’s attitude made it horrific. I will be filing a BBB complaint and will also voice my dissatisfaction on social media so that anyone that values my opinion will understand that I would not recommend this facility for anyone who actually cares about how they are treated. There is no reason to treat people in this manner. Now we are stuck in the facility while Ms. Larson makes her way around to my mothers room and have not been given a specific time frame of when we will be discharged appropriately. We have an appointment with her PCP today to get seen before we head out to Dallas but if there is no sense of urgency we will be here another day which will have another negative impact on my family. I’m sure Ms. Larson will be taking a lunch break which will prolong the process even more. I work in the the insurance field and provide customer service on a daily basis. If one of my employees treated a customer the way Ms. Larson did, needless to say they would no longer be employed with my organization.
