Marquis 5655

I have lived here for 4 years and the complex has gotten new owners and has made many improvements. One thing I must say is maintenance is awesome! Before the company took over the guys would just sit around in the garage and take days to show up to fix something, one time I sat in my apartment for 3 days for them to fix the ac in the middle of july. Now I make request and kirt is at my door usually on the same day! They also have a dog park that is great for people with pets. The gym was just redone with new equipment and the shuttle to UTSA picks you up right in front. The apartments are well kept and a quiet place to live. The few things I don’t like is if you have loud neighbors that can get quite annoying, but if you live on the top floor that shouldn’t be a problem. Overall a great complex that is renovating making it a great place to live with more up to date stuff.

I’ve lived on campus and the student housing apartments by campus as well and Marquis is so much better! The management isn’t the best, they tend to overlook your emails and it takes months to get billing issues resolved. It looks like it’s miscommunication amongst them because one staff member will tell you one thing then another will have an entirely different response & your email will get forwarded about and fixed very late… it’s a hassle.
Other than that I’ve been happy with my stay. No loud neighbors, the maintenance men are quick and not creepy (looking at you creepy student housing handymen) and the grounds are well kept. My apt doesn’t have the renovations and its still nicer than UTSA dorms that would cost me double.
If I had any recommendations it would be to add a benches with shade for the shuttle riders and actually tell us when we have packages in the office.

4 years as a resident at this complex and I have nothing but good things to say about the management and overall appearance. Recent renovations have upgraded this complex by ten fold. One or two car break ins (not my car) but that will happen at any complex when you have lived somewhere for 4 years. With that said, I have felt 100% safe living at the Marquis. It is a family oriented community and the noise level has never been a problem. Management is always on top of things and are VERY professional when it comes to giving residents their privacy but at the same time maintaining a safe and appropriate environment for all residents.
I would recommend this complex to anyone… even my grandmother!

I love it here. Nice and quite. The bus picks you up infront of the apartment so I don’t have to pay for the parking permit. The pool is always clean and the gym has new equipment. People are friendly and never any problems. We are definitely going to renew our lease.

Great place to live. Everyone is very friendly, its a safe quiet place to live! If your a student at utsa then it’s the perfect place because its right down the road from campus and a shuttle runs to and from. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the maintenance guys are very quick to fix any of your problems. I’ve never had any problems while living here.
