Had the fish sandwich today for lunch. Really not bad, I got there at 11:15am so the sandwich was fresh. Staff was actually not bad either, fast drive thru.

This McDonald’s never fails to be disgusting and rude. I just got a southern chicken sandwich, which turned out to only be a burnt chicken steak on a dry bun with ONE pickle slice, and they informed me that they couldn’t make me an Arnold Palmer because«we don’t mix stuff here.» Worst food, worst service. And that’s a guarantee. There’s a McDonald’s just a little further down on Austin Hwy, do yourself a favor and make the drive.

Four star service, three star food. I literally only get nuggets from McDonald’s, and this time was no different, but the service I experienced was above par for a fast food joint. Which left me confused considering all the prior reviews. Opting to use what cash I had in my wallet instead of my card, I was actually short a few cents, but the cashier politely said it was no problem and accepted what I had. I did have a long wait, but the drive thru line was insane at the time. When they did bring my meal they had upsized my fries for free for the wait and were very apologetic. It’s refreshing to experience kind faces and pleasant attitudes in a fast food establishment, and I’ll definitely continue to visit this one. Sidenote, their salty crispy fries go great with the sweet and sour sauce!

You assume you’re going to get shitty food and service. Why? Because you’ve decided to eat at McDonald’s. Well this particular location takes the cake. I don’t think anyone working here has ever had or experienced espresso and coffee. I asked for an iced latte and a worker was super confused and said we ‘do not make those,’ to which I replied, ‘you just take a latte and pour it over ice.’ She argued and said they only make iced coffees. There seemed to be a huge information gap about the two products. And what can be expected of management with confused employees– a shitty manager. This particular guy is rude and acts confused when you approach him with a question, as if his instant coping mechanism is to play dumb. Amazing. Not surprised this particular location has so many one stars, but def surprised with how there has been no correction to it, especially since it’s in Alamo Heights with other businesses and restaurants with notable reputations surrounding it.

0 stars. The customer service was decent but sad, the place is disgusting and management is awful. I also tried to get some sweet tea and it took them 30 minutes to finally fix the problem and it wasn’t even sweet tea… it’s just sad and gross, drive on to the next McDonald’s.

I don’t know what happened to this McDonald’s. It used to be great, run well and the employees all seemed happy and competent. That is not the case, by far, any longer. My husband and I have been to this McDonald’s several times in the last year since it’s close to our house and our kids love the food and play place. However we will NOT ever be going back to this location after the final straw broke us today. My husband went with our boys to get breakfast this morning. After placing our order he pulled up to the window to pay and handed the guy his credit card. The guy took it, swiped it, then said FUCK. My husband asked if there was a problem and the guy said his card was declined and that he needed another one. So my husband gave him another, and the same thing happened. This continued four times. My husband asked if there was maybe a problem with their system to which the guy replied«Nah man the systems fine, you need cash» My husband, understandably irritated, finally convinced the guy to go ask someone if the system was having problems. He came back and said that the system was in fact down and that he would need cash. So my husband said he would run and get cash real quick and be back to pay for and pick up the food. So he returns with cash, and a girl is now at the window with the guy and tells my husband he’s going to need to reorder his order. My husband told her that if they had just told him the system was down when he placed our order in the first place, he would have gone to a different McDonalds. The girl(standing right next to the guy) says«he didn’t know, he’s dumb.» So my husband hands her the cash and she stands there for several minutes unable to figure out how much change to give back to him. So my husband finally just told her to keep the rest. My husband pulled up to the next window to get our food and the same girl walks up to hand it to him, and he says that this isn’t the first problem with them we’ve had and that a manager has even given us a free meal on the books because of our troubles, the girl then says«oh well I can’t give you your free meal, a manager has to do that, I don’t have access to the book.» So my husband says, «Is there no manager on duty today?» The girl says«oh she’s here, she’s just busy and doesn’t want to be bothered». Yet my husband can see the manager standing a few feet away on her cell phone. All the while people are behind him in the drive-thru upset and honking because this nonsense has taken so long. There have been several times that our orders have been wrong and or missing things, or we’ve pulled up to the drive-thru to see a sign on their menu stating that they have no sodas, or that they are only accepting cash. It’s a McDonald’s…you put some people in it and it should practically run itself. It shouldn’t be this difficult. I’m just appalled at the level of incompetence at this location as well as the attitudes of the employees, including their manager. We will not being going back to this location. Ever.

Occasionally I like bad fast food. It’s greasy, fatty and GOOD. a friend of mine told me about mc deez having wings. What? Who? Really? Had to find out for myself. I ordered up a 10 piece and asked for BBQ sauce and buffalo sauce. I was expecting garbage but was actually suprised. In no way are these the best waings I’ve ever had, but for mc deez they are good! They were a little hard, scratched up the roof of my mouth a little bit. However, if you eat them without the sauce, you taste some flavor. Now what pissed me off about them, was the sauce. The wings don’t come with sauce on them, you have to specify what kind you want. And mc deez gives you the sauce packs for the mc nuggets. Now these wings weren’t small, so I don’t know why mcdeez thought it would be a good idea to give you those little packets. This really pissed me off, cause in the commercial you see people dipping the waings into the sauce cups. So how is it they can do it in the commercials, but I can’t? On top of that, the buffalo sauce tasted like nacho cheese sauce. So I would stick to the BBQ or try something else. Bottom line, if you’ve got a hankerin for some waings and not much time to spare, give these a go.

Very Friendly and Fast! Would always come here on my lunch break on Wed’s after picking up my new comics next door.(RIP comic book store), Anyways always had a pleasant experience. Food served fast, hot, and correct. Service was amazing-down to them knowing my order before I hit the register. Traffic can be a pain on Broadway but that is hardly Ronald’s fault. Still love coming to this location when I’m in the neighborhood.
