Moore’s seems to have been around forever. I remember coming here as a kid with my mom. The building looks like an authentic farm shed with silos on the property and the cluck of various birds coming from inside. There’s animal food galore here. Tons of large bags of feed for your dog, cat, rabbit, and chickens. I even spotted powdered goat milk. There’s an aisle dedicated to lawn care and pest abatement and bins of bird food.
I come here to buy rabbit food and ever since I moved back to Texas I wanted my daughter to have the South Texas experience. So, when she got straight A’s on her report card I brought her here knowing she would just die for the baby chicks. I already had in mind getting a couple so it was the perfect set-​up! She fell in love with the Buff Orington’s and we’ve had such a blast raising them for 3 months now. They are super healthy and just gorgeous with their golden feathers.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable about animal care and management and will haul the bags of food to your car. If you love furry animals, don’t come here. You’ll fall for the rabbits, baby chicks, guinea pigs, and worse. .. they have the cages and feeding bowls you’ll need to take them home.

This place is so great!!! Great service and home style feel… will definitely be returning for all things to show my 3 dogs and 2 guinea pigs love!!!

I should have reviewed this place a long time ago — they deserve recognition for their fantastic service and selection. I drive a ways out of my way to go here despite much closer feed stores in our area. It’s one stop shopping for supplies for our chickens and higher end dog food (like Taste of the Wild, among others), and the employees are very knowledgable if you ever have questions. They’ll also load things directly into your car if you need the help. I’ve been a loyal customer for over a year now and have never been let down!

You can tell that this place has some serious history. It looks like it’s been around forever. The store kind of meanders around the tin shack building. They do have all kinds of dog food, horse feed, you name it.
The place wasn’t exactly the cleanest, but I guess your horse probably won’t mind.
They’ve got stuff to feed the animals, and stuff for the yard too. If you need fertilizer, or other lawn care stuff, they’ve got it, in huge quantities.
