Should have read all the reviews before stopping here. Bad service. Chips and salsa from the grocery store but then somehow the made the salsa worse. The hostess set us in front of the kitchen under a archway. Felt like I was in a tunnel. The place was about ¼ full. Lots of tables near the walkway which we were moved closer after a disgusting look. While waiting 20 minutes for drinks that came out wrong we moved on. There looks like a lot of really awesome places here. Don’t waste you time or money here.

The owner must not read these reviews. If he/she did, they would fire the entire staff. Service was plain awful. They paid more attention to their cell phones than the customers. I didn’t try the food, but might have if the service was decent. Walked away as soon as we could.

Blah… Margarita was tasteless. I would have preferred a glass of water. Its cool that its on the Riverwalk but customers were fairly frustrating feeding the ducks on the river. Management just laughed it off. Price point was fine but for something that tasted like it came out of a jar its not worth the sit down.

We came here for happy hour and sat outside. The only two reasons why i’m giving it a two is b/c theres beautiful seating on the river walk, and our waiter was nice even though he didnt have the best memory. I had the happy hour margarita and it was horrible. My one friend couldnt even drink it. I swallowed it down but it truly just did not taste good at all. Prices are good if you are coming for some regular beer that you know will taste good. Stay clear of the margaritas

Absolutely terrible service. Took 20 min to get chips and Salsa that are not free. A minute later my meal came out. I had to ask for silverware 10 minutes later once the server came back again. Food was cold by that time. Should have read other poor service reviews before coming in here.

Trying to remember even being here, so it must have not been terrible or fantastic, so I’m going to say it was A-OK. So many places just like it on the Riverwalk they all blend in together.

Pickle margaritas are delish! They now have Corona on draft. Bartender is friendly & always offering suggestions.

Just ate here on a Wednesday for lunch. I guess even on wednesday they are so busy that the service is awful. They forgot to put in our drink order and it took 30−45min for just nachos to be served. When we got the drink(piña colada) it was pulpy from the pinapple juice, and chunky from not being blended very well. The worst part is that the place is literally crawling with pigeons and ducks. So they are always flying around or walking under your table. If the bussers don’t bus a table quickly enough, the birds flock to the table. THEN I saw this happen TWICE: The waiter put some food down he was about to serve, turned around and birds jumped on the food! This even happened to my nachos! So thankfully they immediately took the food back and threw it away. Unfortunately it further delayed our ridiculous wait for one appetizer. When they finally brought out our nachos, it was prepared different than what we ordered. We sent it back and left. So, I don’t even know how the food tastes. Never, ever, going again.

This place isn’t terrible but it’s not the best I have had of Mexican food. We were just looking for a place to catch one of the basketball games and to get out of the heat. Chips were standard, salsa was really good actually, and that’s what I normally use to judge a place of their mexican food. I just got a side taco, but my friend got the enchilidas and he enjoyed it. He also got a mojito, and it was standard, not one of the bests. So maybe stop by here to relax a bit, grab a drink, and watch a game but don’t plan on getting your mexican cravings satisfied by the food here.

Mediocre at best. Eaten here twice. The quesadilla is BAD. Store brought very old tortillas just stuffed with junk. Fajitas are bad. Salsa is good, drinks are too sugary.

We stopped in for late night drinks, they sat us on the balcony but the place was rather dirty. We ordered a Tito margarita and a don julio margarita on the rocks. They have 2 different size offerings. We did not specify what size of a drink we wanted assuming the default would be the regular size at $ 9. The waiter did not ask and returned with a giant fishbowl of lime flavored sugar. I’m not a diabetic but I certainly thought I might become one after the first sip. We complained and supposedly they remade them but they tasted exactly the same. We didn’t drink any of it and asked for the check. We figured its fair to pay for the drinks even though they were awful. The waiter returns with a tab of $ 38, he had charged us $ 17 a drink. I complained again and seeing that we had not drank the margaritas he had the manager comp them. I tipped the waiter for at least an attempt at redemption and because he doesn’t make the drinks therefore it is not his fault they sucked.

Worst bar and service. Our 2 drinks were mostly just juice. Seemed like 95% juice. Asked the bartender to fix our drinks and she still skimped us… Would give this zero stars. Also it smelled bad in here…

The wait and kitchen staffs were understaffed; therefore, the drink and food delivery was very slow. We were full of chips by the time our food came. Food was mediocre at best. The staff was working hard and very friendly.

Do you enjoy meals while sitting comfortably surrounded by cockroaches? This is your place. Would you like nacho cheese from a can to be presented as an appetizer and be charged $ 6 for it and referred to as «queso»? This is your kind of place. Do you enjoy your entreé arriving void of major ingredients, such as beans or shrimp and then being charged additionally although it arrived around dessert? You should go here. Are you accustomed to being ignored as servers and hostesses and bussing staff rush by at break neck sped? You’re gonna love it here. It is difficult to know how they stay on the Riverwalk other than to assume most of their customers are one timers from out of town. That must explain it.

This place was terrible! Very disappointed that I wasted my only meal visiting the river walk at such a bad place. The chips and salsa were terrible, the salsa tasted like tomato paste and the chips like cardboard. We ordered a few appetizers and they all were terrible. It seemed like they opened a can of food, plopped it on a plate, and called it a meal. The drinks were also bad — my margarita tasted like pure sugar and margarita mix. I would definitely stay away from this restaurant when visiting such a nice area.

I now realize this is the bar that’s a part of Rio Rio Cantina. So I guess this is really a review for the restaurant. Except for the location, everything about this place was mediocre. The salsa tasted like tomato juice. The main dishes were generally bland with little seasoning. The guacamole had no veggies or lime juice in it. It was basically just avocado. The margaritas were most disappointing. I’m pretty sure there was no tequila in it. I thought I was just drinking margarita mix from the grocery store. Just don’t waste your time eating here. There’s several better Mexican choices in San Antonio.

I went here by default, everything else was packed. It was a Monday night and I was also drawn to the NFL games being shown on the monitors. On the plus side, the AC is strong, so this is a great place to go on any hot day, or night. The chips and salsa were also REALLY good. I had the steak fajita, which was good, but the meat was a little stringy. The service was just OK, sorry to say Leceit, but you seemed a bit overwhelmed. This place is good for a quick drink as you stroll along the river walk.

The bar was out of 3 beers! They don’t have a grand selection to begin with. How can that be? The best offering was the Guac & Salsa while Marguerita was quite good as well. Booo: the bar maids had attitude and were far from attentive. Of particular annoyance, sitting at the bar while listening to wait staff’s snarky commentary about customers as said customers walked out of audible range. Not cool. ~m

Located right on the Riverwalk of San Antonio, I got excited to walk in to check out a bar named, Naked Iguana. I figured it would be unique and worth talking about to all of you. I think not unfortunately. There was no air inside of the place, and no fans to help with the air being turned off, or not working. I apologize if something was broken that night, but I think fans still could have been used to keep customers in the bar. When we walked in I thought it was a good thing that no one was there to relax more, but then I realized it was because of the temperature. There was nothing really unique about this bar. Just a cool sign that I am uploading as a picture, but very small bar, and not much seating room. The selection of liquor was very small, and I was left taking several minutes to figure out what I wanted to drink using the options I had in front of me. This place has a unique name, but not worth your time if you want to stop into the hot spots or known places along the Riverwalk in San Antonio.
