Dr. Suggs practices Functional Medicine & Chiropractic Care. He is a member of the Pastoral Medical Association and the Vice-President of the Texas Chiropractic Association of San Antonio. With his twenty year experience, Dr. Suggs is able to incorporate a Balance of Nutrition, Spinal Structure Care, Hormone Issues, Weight Management, and Physical Fitness to optimize true health! Dr. Suggs is very passionate about helping others and has been featured on Great Day SA speaking about Nutrition and Wellness care!
In the spirit of Functional Medicine, one of the primary goals of Optimal Health & Wellness Center is to provide our patients with a broader understanding of their health and a long lasting sense of well-being. Instead of the traditional conventional medicine «disease-centered» focus, Functional Medicine applies a patient centered approach that addresses the whole person rather than just covering the symptoms.

Business Owner
Dr Clay Suggs, has been in practice for over 27 years and been on GREAT DAY-SA 4 times to educate others about the benefits of Chiropractic and Nutrition. He is currently the Vice President of the Texas Chiropractic Association District 10 in San Antonio and strives to provide the best quality chiropractic care for our patients. Our office is located at NW Loop 410 at the Exchange Parkway Exit located between Bandera and Ingram Road and right beside Freedom Fitness. We have been in the same location since 1986. Our patients have access to Freedom Fitness for rehabilitative exercises. Our services include muscle stim, hydrotherapy, exercises, spinal decompression, and «gentle» spinal adjustments.
Our mission at Optimal Health & Wellness Center is to provide affordable, high-quality care to people of all ages. We strive to not only correct a person’s health problems, but to educate and enlighten people so that they do not encounter similar problems in the future.
