The gelato here is wonderful. They have flavors for people who are looking to minimize sugars or avoid dairy as well. Each flavor has a sign that states if it has dairy or not as well as fat and sugar info. The affogado(espresso or hot chocolate over gelato) comes with a cookie and up to three flavors. Try every flavor as they change regularly and they’re all delicious.

Delicious gelato! I got the wild berry and the raspberry in a small cup and that was more than enough gelato for me. I love berry flavors and neither of those disappointed. I want to go back to try the macarons!

What a great find. So many choices of gelato it was hard to make a decision. They let us taste most of the gelato before making a decision. The customer service was outstanding. They greeted us when we walked in and let stayed in contact with us until we left.

This was my first visit and let me say, 5+ stars!!! I was greeted with a friendly smile from the man behind the counter and after explaining to him I was new here, he let me have some samples. And by samples, I mean as many as I pleased! I was blown away by how many flavor a there was! All of them are so good! After some debating I chose a scoop of pistachio and the extreme dark,(both recommended) and enjoyed the sweet treat guilt free. With 70% less fat than normal ice cream, it’s a beach body approved smack! But really, check this place out you won’t be disappointed

What a fabulous find! One look at the menu and you will be sold. The gelato is fabulous and is a lighter choice vs. ice cream. There are a ton of flavors to choose from — among the favorites list are vanilla lavender, coconut passion fruit, piña colada and toasted coconut. I will admit I tend to lean toward anything coconut flavored, but they are so good! They also make sundaes and some amazing Frappé and Espresso shake concoctions. Highly recommend a visit when you are in the mood for a really delicious and unique treat — which is always!

I haven’t updated my review in such a long time, but I frequent this place because I absolutely LOVEIT. It’s lighter but richer in taste than ice cream shops, with a touch of Italian elegance. I just tried a flavor I love — Taro. Omg. I’m a big taro fan to begin with, so I was floored when they had it. I wish it was a regular offering. My friend actually likes to mix a water based berry flavor with the milk(cream) based pistachio. I prefer milk based, but this mix is excellent too. Other excellent flavors are sea salt caramel(my usual favorite — it’s always in stock) wedding cake, pistachio, berry white, cookies n cream, tres vanillas, etc. last time they had a Spurs flavor… They let you sample pretty much as many flavors as you want, they are always experimenting and coming up with new flavors, which is awesome. Another random temporary«experimental» flavor I saw last time(other than the Spurs flavor) was campfire banana. They’re hours are great, they are open Sunday’s(yay!) and they offer military discount. Can’t get much better than this place! I’ve tried other gelato places in other cities, NOONE can beat Paciugo’s!

I lived in Italy for years so when I saw Paciugo gelato and frappé on instagram, I had to check it out with my friends. They actually had my favorite Asian taro root flavor aside from the classic gelato flavors I enjoyed in Aviano, Italy. Try the pannacotta wedding cake too and sea salt caramel is also devine! So yummy, creamy, heaven in your mouth. The service was friendly and fast.

Try the macaroon gelato sandwiches! So good. I had a mint chocolate chip on salted caramel macaroons, dipped in chocolate. So so so good! The girl at the counter was super nice too. She was so friendly and let us sample many different flavors.

So this place has amazinggggg gelato, I was a little upset when I found a small hair in mines. BUT the owner gave me a replacement cup, and a voucher for another free one. They were totally professional about it and I’ve been going ever since. My favorite is the birthday cake and dark chocolate. The staff is awesome they will offer you samples and they are all friendly.

Who knew a sad clown made such good gelato! That’s the same guy right? This place is great. I went here with my partner after a recent night out for dinner. They have a ton of flavors to choose from and offer lots of samples — especially when the line is not long. I would recommend the classics. The sea salt caramel and the pistachio almond were my two favorites so I got them in a small cup($ 4 with tax). The small is more than enough gelato for one person and I could barely finish the thing. There really is no reason to order anything bigger than that. If you are feeling adventurous, they will offer three different flavors per small, four per medium, and five per large. Or you can try one of their macaron ice cream sandwiches that look incredible. The staff were more than helpful and very interactive. They were funny and endearing as they helped us try some flavors and kept us entertained throughout the process. They have plenty of seats inside and sports on the televisions as well as a sizable outdoor seating selection. There was live music and lots of young people hanging out to listen — none of whom were eating ice cream. Overall, this place was great. I would recommend it to anyone looking for some creamy gelato in interesting flavors.

LONG overdue review, but stick with me guys. The main reason I stopped by here was for their macaron gelato sandwiches, and BOYOHBOY, I am still salivating over them. I got the vanilla lavender while my friend got the salted caramel. I imagine this is how unicorns taste like(Yea, I went there). Although they were a bit toooooo sweet, the sandwiches were so worth the thunder thighs. I highly, highly recommend everyone go visit if you’re in the area. Not only are their macaron gelato sandwiches magical, they have a pretty great selection of gelato in general, and the lovely young lady who was working was incredibly nice and friendly-and I’m all about customer service!!! Seating inside is pretty small, but we did go by when there was literally no one in the store(and it was pretty cold), so we had no issue. But based off the tv inside displaying pics of the place being packed at night and other times, I’m assuming this place see’s a lot of business. And besides, with the Texas heat picking up, why not enjoy some delicious, cold gelato?! Treat yo self.

I came in for the gelato sandwiches but we just ordered the regular gelato cups. The rose flavor was amazing! But my fiancé did not care for it and he loved the mango gelato. I got a small lemon curd macaron when we left and to be honest that was the best thing we ordered! So next time I will get macaron/gelato sandwich for sure. All the flavors were great and there’s a big variety :)

Located in a big shopping area and near HEB, this shop supported to be crowded and busy during weekend, but if you come on weekdays, that will be a great choice. Enjoy good ice cream, nice staffs, many flavor to choose, and don’t forget to ask example for each taste(if you want to try). However, to me, ice cream is too sweet, and the macaroon isn’t that great. It would be perfect if they reduce the sweet in the ice cream. Kids gonna love this place.

The gelato is excellent. I’ve tried a bunch of different flavors and I think my favorite so far is the violet(complete with violet sugar on top). Heaven! And the mini fridge filled with gelato macarons is definitely a tempting treat. I appreciate the generous servings and the friendly customer service. Seating is a little limited inside but they do have some chairs available outside.

Tried the sea salt gelato macaron — ordered it thinking I was ordering salted caramel but when I realized I decided to try it anyway. Definitely too salty to be a gelato! I still love this place and will try a different flavor or stick to pistachio the next time I return. I also saw that they have gelato donut sandwiches! Will also be trying that on my next visit…

It only took me like, 5 months to get my husband to join me on a trip to Paciugo. Of course he loved it once I got him inside… but still. Anyway, I’m excited I FINALLY got to try it! This place has delicious gelato, and all of the flavors I tried were great. The first one I tried was the vanilla lavender, and it had just the perfect amount of floral notes… sometimes lavender can get a bit out of hand. The banana one I tried was delish too, and my husband liked all of the flavors he tried as well. The whole reason I wanted to come to Paciugo, though, was for their gelato + macaron sandwiches. OMG. Of course we ordered one, and they actually had one with the vanilla lavender, so that’s what we got. SOOOOYUMMY. I wasn’t sure what to expect(I mean, except amazingness) but I was not let down. The macaron part of the sandwich was flavorful and chewy — perfect texture. I was a bit unsure of how it would taste, but it was so. good. The price for the macaron sandwich was a bit pricey — over $ 6 — but it was shareable. And was it worth it for the delicious treat? Hell yes.

Macarons from the best bakery in Houston special delivered all the way to San Antonio. Their macarons are perfection, so when they decided to use their extremely delicious gelato and combine the two to make a gelato macaron sandwich… I had to try. It was everything you hoped and better. They carry several gelato flavors even lavender(my favorite). The service is amazing. Mo is usually there when I visit and he runs their Instagram and is absolutely awesome! They definitely get a A+ on how they treat their customers. I could go on and on how amazing this gelato shop is and how much I love it.

Being lactose intolerant, I don’t often eat gelato. Do I crave it though? Heck yeah! I’m only human and it is oh so tempting in this Texas heat. Yes…I’ve tried lactaid. No… they don’t work for me. Yes… I could just eat sorbets. But no… it’s not the same. When the craving gets bad enough, I have to make it worth the pain that will come afterwards. Yes, folks, this is the meaning of addiction/insanity. So where do I do for gelato? Paciugo if I am on the north side of town or A La Mode if I am on the south side of town. I like that Paciugo offers macaron gelato sandwiches. I don’t think anyone else in San Antonio is offering this. So, Paciugo is ahead of the game here. Is it a new concept? No. I’ve had macaron ice cream/gelato sandwiches in other cities before. But how does the version here compare to other cities… for example, Milk in Los Angeles? I’d have to say that they are pretty comparable. The ice cream offered at Milk doesn’t melt as quickly as the gelato here though. Cool Los Angeles breeze versus Texas heat, you wonder? No… I was sitting inside air conditioned environment at both places. Maybe Paciugo and Milk set their freezers at different temperatures. Who knows? I didn’t bother asking/researching. The take away is that the gelato here is good enough for me to risk pain and discomfort. Plus, the guys behind the counter are always so nice. They’ve offered to make special flavors by request. They just need a couple hours notice and if they have the ingredients, they will whip you up a special batch. Highly recommend!

Without a doubt, delicious :) I wish the seating area was bigger to invite more people but it’s worth standing, sitting on the curb, eating in your car or whatever you must do to comfortably consume this delicacy. Will continue to enjoy with friends :)
