History

Established in 2012.

We are two friends that have always been in the pet industry that wanted to open a store in San Antonio that specialized in healthy products for the four legged member in your family! We believe that outstanding customer service and product knowledge are what separates us from other stores in this industry.

If healthy eating has been proved to make us live longer than why should we not extend the same mentality to our fur babies. Robin is awesome, she knows a lot about pet nutrition and will recommend nothing but the best for your babies. No purina or cheap kibble here just premium grade stuff. The store has a nice bit of doggy accessories from toys, jackets, and collars. Check them out, they have a great rewards program as well and a pet food guarantee.

First of all, I doubt you could find a more knowledgeable staff at any pet shop. They understand Dogs and Cats and they are highly up to date on their products so they are able to make the best recommendations about you pets needs.
The store itself is always full of great products form pet supplies and the top foods to toys and gourmet treats. Every time I visit, I find something new.
If you own a dog or cat, it doesn’t matter if you live close or all the way across town, this is a place you need to visit.

I am so grateful to have this place so close to me. Every time I’ve gone there to get food for my dog the owners have been very helpful. It’s nice to actually talk to someone who knows about what they are selling. They really offer top notch quality products for our four legged members of our families. I hope they will stay around for a long, long time.

Paw Basics is a terrific source for premium food and supplies in the San Antonio area. Competitively priced when compared to similar boutique stores.
Differentiators include quality — PB is a must visit to appreciate the quantity and quality of product lines — examples are raw food along with high end dry foods, premium canned, and supplements. Also, the commitment of store owners is apparent, they are consistently on location and extremely knowledgeable.
Definitely worth going out of your way if you like to give your pet the best!

Great new local and independent pet supply store, specializing in pet nutrition. Robin and Kimbie run the place, and both have years of experience. Service and quality are an obvious priority at this store. Not only is it advantageous to keep our dollars in the local economy, it’s also a big comfort to know that I am not supporting a large national chain store that promotes and sustains puppy mills. The food may cost a bit more than the chain stores, but I am happy to pay a little more for all of these advantages and good karma.
