San Pedro Driving Range & Par 3

The staff are really nice and helpful. Excellent driving range. The par 3 hole was a barrel you can’t miss it!

Great guys. Lots of parking. I wish they had shade over the parking so my car wasn’t so hot when I returned, but honestly that’s not a must-​have.
I’ve never worked an automatic ball machine before so I was super grateful to the guys there for showing me how.
Very relaxes atmosphere. No dress code. I went in a dress and Birkenstocks on a Sunday morning.

To say I’m a golfer would be using that noun EXTREMELY loosely. I’ve just started hitting golf balls again after quite a hiatus… my starting point wasn’t great either. So, I’m not super experienced. I’d say I’m a super beginner.
San Pedro is the first course I’ve played since I’ve restarted, and it was a good easy course for me. I hit a bucket of balls and played the Par 3. The grass is decent, I suppose as good as can be expected on a cheap course in San Antonio. The grass at the driving range was kinda rough, but not terrible, and definitely fine for my needs. There’s a station with cold water and cups every few holes, and benches on which to wait for the people before you to finish the hole. That’s bound to be super helpful during the blazing summer days.
The grounds were clean and the staff was friendly. This is a great place to spend part of an afternoon, and at a fair price (large buckets at the driving range: $ 10, par 3 course: $ 8). From what I could tell, the dress code is that you have to wear clothes… and that’s about as firm as the rules get. No freshly-​creased khaki pants and collared shirts necessary!

not a bad little course, great price and a nice shop. staff is friendly the holes are really short so don’t expect to use your driver. the greens and driving range could use a lot of tlc but you get what you pay for. but i will be back you just can’t beat the price.

I like this place, my only gripe really is with some of the tees – they need some TLC because the last time I was there, there was a lot of wet sand that made placing a short tee pretty difficult. Also, for some reason, half of the tees were super muddy, while others were dry. Really though, the prices are good, and I remember seeing some sales in the shop that had pretty good prices on shoes and the like. Also, it’s one of the few driving ranges I can show up in flip flops without feeling out of place. Oh, and the location is great for me.

This is a very nice facility. There is a par 3 course, a nice chipping area with two bunkers, and a couple putting greens in addition to the driving range. The range itself is all grass (which is a huge advantage over turf) and there is plenty of space. This allows the staff to rotate the positions very frequently so you have fresh grass to hit off of. I have never played the par 3 course, but it always seems busy when I visit the driving range so that is a good sign. There are also golf academies during the summer for kids so it’s a good time for the whole family.
Free pointer: if you use this driving range often or play on any of the muni courses in town, get the players card membership – the benefits are awesome! (free green fees, discounts off buckets, discounts off apparel, etc.) If that doesn’t get a useful click, then I don’t know what will!

Nice facility!
They offer buckets o’ balls at a fair price. The balls are all still pretty new and yellow. Their Par 3 is pretty sweet too!
They offer free water placed strategically around the course, which is always appreciated on a hot Texas day.
Their greens are in fair shape.
The driving range has decent sod.
They offer a pro shop with good prices and a fair selection.
The putting greens are nice and well kept.
There are plenty of critters out there on the par 3, so be careful where you’re driving at!
