Awesome place to get chocolate… As a self-proclaimed chocolate addict, this is the place to get your chocolate freak on. The chocolate is creamy, soft, and just melts in your mouth. My favorites included the champagne ganache and cheesecake. But try everything!!! The quality is comparable to chocolate from France and Belgium. If you love brands such as Ferrero Rocher, Cote d’ or, Lindt, or Catago, you will love the chocolate here. Got their chocolate as a party favor for my wedding at a very reasonable price. I had guests from NY grabbing boxes of chocolate that the other guests did not want. They are that good!!! They can also personalize the chocolate and make logos with the chocolate. You can even buy them in funky shapes to suit your needs for an event. Also, the gelato is home made… yes…made from scratch, not shipped in… I loved all the flavors… but it’s the chocolate that keeps me coming back… Seriously, why are you still reading? go get some chocolate or gelato…

Limited review. Last night we dined at Nectar Wine Bar & Ale House and for dessert they offered Schakolad’s chocolate truffles. OMG to die for!!! Godiva is second rate compared to Schakolad’s truffles. We loved them so much that next time we’re in San Antonio we will be stopping in to satisfy our chocolate cravings directly. We greatly enjoyed both the Dark Chocolate Ganache truffles and the Macadamia Nut truffles.

Oh sweet Schakolade– your beautifully decorated morsels are a spectacle and a delight. Deborah welcomed all the tourists and regulars alike– engaging and warm. Here’s where she uses chocolate for what it intended– the power to heal and make people happy. Like the nearby Alamo this excellent establishment will be a mainstay at San Antonio. Each of their products are super Fresh because that’s how they do it here. The place is clean and spacious. Service is impeccable. Chocolate seriously delicious– and all beautifully decorated.

As a child, my favorite thing to do with a box of chocolates was to eat the bottoms to sample an entire box of chocos giving the appearance that the box was untouched.(Yeah, I was kinda a turd.) I’ve always loved chocolates but there no way the sampling technique works here… Just too yum! I knew this place was opening soon and through a favorite past-time called getting lost in my city… I stumbled upon it after Saturday coffee biking. Deborah, the owner, is just the nicest. The store front has a wide assortment of unique chocolate gifts that can be custom made. And chocolate is being made behind the counter! The fantastic part are the prices. Way reasonable and you can pick out whatever assortment you like. I walked out with just two pieces for under $ 2.50. Coffee. Ice cream. Fudge. You drooling yet? Talk to your inner chubby child but take your sophisticated self.
