Schlotzsky’s

This the worst Schlotzsky’s in the San Antonio area. Meat on my sandwich was cold and sloppily put together see photo… spoke to manager corey and his attitude explains why this Schlotzsky’s is not up to the quality and service Schlotzsky’s is famous for… shame on you corey!

This is my go-​to location. My family and I have been coming for years. I ordered a medium smoked turkey breast with pickles with lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, mayonnaise, and cheese which has to be my favorite sandwich from Schlotzskys. I ordered baked BBQ chips. We received our order in little time. However when I got my order I didn’t get pickles on my sandwich. I had to go back to the counter and ask for pickles. They had sliced and spears. I got both in a bag. It disappoints me when the cashier doesn’t hear your order right especially when you clearly state what you want and pay good money. Everytime my family and I order they never get the order right and mind you this is dining in. Im not sure if I’ll be returning back.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THE DRIVE THRU. Went to the drive thru for lunch and ordered angus beef sandwich, chips and paid extra for a large coke. The sandwich was as expected but I received diet coke. Maybe they should fix the pa for the drive thru attendant or hire better employees.

I am giving this location one star because their drive thru service is terrible. They have messed up more than one order, and I had to wait while they corrected it. They make no effort to offer any kind of «comp» for messing up. Today I picked up my daughter from nearby Marshall High School to get lunch. I ordered a sandwich combo meal for her and just a sandwich for me. After 15 mins of sitting in the car in the heat and humidity we still did not have our food. No one came to the window to apologize for the wait, I had to motion to the drive thru attendant. She told me they «messed up one of the orders» and had to make it again (since this was just 2 sandwiches, they messed up half the order.) Since I didn’t order a drink, I asked if I could have a free drink for the wait. She said «I’ll have to ask» and then a few more minutes passed before she came back to the window and said «My manager said we can’t do that.» So I said ««Let your manager know the service today was lousy and I won’t be back.» I have given this location plenty of «second chances» but I have so many more choices on the Bandera Road corridor. I won’t be back here.

I come here about once a month and the sandwiches are always good. My favorites are the angus beef and cheese and the fiesta chicken give them a try!

As a first time customer of Schlotzsky’s I ordered the turkey bacon club and a cup of french onion soup. The soup was good but had no cheese or croutons on it. The sandwich was meh. Is it a Texas thing to make the style of bread at Schlotzsky’s? I only ask since I’ve never had similar bread anywhere else. It tastes odd, has a peculiar texture and doesn’t taste like sourdough at all. I hate to say this but after sampling this and a few other sandwich shops I think I’ll stick with Subway, which is really sad and disgusting. I won’t be coming back here other than to buy cinnamon rolls from Cinnabon.

I’ve been a schlotzskys regular for years now and really appreciate the service and management of this location. The new flatbread pizza was great!

Love this place — great chicken breast, tuna, veggie, roast beef, and Reuben sandwiches as well as veggie, cheese, and bar-​b-​q chicken pizzas. The kids always order mini cinnabons to take home. Fast and friendly service always.

Great sandwiches and the front of the house is always lovely. Never once had a problem with a wrong order. It’s a nice light meal if you want, or a heavy one, depending on what you order, so points for variety.

I love Schlotzskys! They have a variety of different sandwiches, salads and pizzas.
Try the chipotle mayo instead of regular mayo. It’s so yummy! My favorite sandwich is the turkey bacon club with chipotle mayo. The California pizza is tasty and the Italian Chopped salad is pretty good for a low carb option.
Try the kids meal pizza. You get a little pep pizza cookie and drink all for a great price.
Staff is friendly and place is very clean. Great place for a quick bite and they have a drive-​thru.

Schlotzsy’s is one of my favorite sandwich shops! The sandwiches are always fresh and delicious with plenty options from many different meats, to different breads, sourdough, wheat, white, rye. And different sizes! I usually get the specials and the broccoli and cheese soup! They have the best soup! Most locations have a built in Cinnabon which is always a plus!
If you like a good sandwich and haven’t tried a schlotzsy’s you will appreciate the great food and the many options!

The sandwich was good, but they put too much salad dressing.
