Huge props to the Sephora at La Cantera. While it’s hard not to spend a fortune there anyways, I came out today not doing so and with the most amazing customer service thus far. I really do wish I’d caught their names, and, believe me that I will next time I see them. I went in for one purpose and I left a super happy rewards member. Thanks, Sephora! I’m truly going to enjoy my new lipsticks.

Cosmetic selection is great! From make-up to perfume, I always find what I need. I also love the Beauty Rewards, because they give out free samples of the latest name brand products, when you reach a certain amount of points. Customer service: You know when there is a fly that just keeps buzzing around you, and will not go away no matter how many times you swat at it? That is how I feel when I come here. I get asked if I need help very frequently. I am also watched with my every move. I understand lost prevention tactics, but making your customers feel like thieves is just annoying. I even had one sales woman give my friend a shopping basket and said«Incase you are tempted to steal that lipstick.» I will never forget that experience. It was mortifying! Their customer service needs a complete make over!

Whatever beauty supply your looking for, they most likely have it here. I like to shop here for my Clinique items. Plus you can earn points with their rewards. Once you reach 100 points, you can redeem for a free sample! The La Cantera location is great, greeted when you enter, always someone to help if you need any questions.

Walked in and after 10 minutes someone finally asked if I needed help. Why yes I did I needed a new foundation her reply was let me get someone to help you just walk around and I’ll come get you. 20 minutes later still no help! People who walked in after me were being helped! As I was walking she said oh here is some one to help you I said no thanks and walked out.

I’m a sucker for Sephora. I buy mostly prestige makeup from them including Urban Decay, Makeup Forever, Nars, Stila, etc. For skincare, I use Esteem Lauder for the most part so I usually shop at Nordstrom. I always order online due to convenience but I do also come to this location pretty often. Recently I purchased almost $ 200 worth of beauty products on two separate trips in a week so things do add up here and there as they rarely have sales. But I do like their reward points system and all the free samples that come with the order. This particular location is always busy but I was offered help every time I was there. I booked a makeover session with a makeup artist a couple of weeks ago. She was super nice, did my whole face makeup and also taught me several beauty techniques. I ended up purchasing several items she recommended and they all were pretty great. What I loved was the color IQ test. They have this magical little machine that provides color matching to help find the true match for your foundation. I heard they also have skincare IQ and fragrance IQ. I have yet to do those. Sephora will probably continue to have my money. Somehow I never seem to be able to catch their once a year 20% sale. That’s a shame. But still I just can’t resist. A girl owes it to the society to look beautiful inside and out, damn straight!

I love this Sephora! The customer service here is amazing. Today, I walked into the store and started crying because I had a terrible haircut experience earlier, and Sarah was the only person who gave me honest feedback. She helped me walk through my traumatic hair experience(nothing to do with makeup at all) and then helped me with my skincare needs! Every time I go to this Sephora, the associates are so nice and smiley! Thank you so much for your awesome customer service :)

love sephora’s selection and their awesome return policy. they also have free makeup tutorials if you buy a certain amt of stuff. great for if you are new to makeup or just want to update your look. the employees are always nice, not pushy, and actually helpful if you are looking for something in particular. the line can get a little long on weekends, but usually moves pretty quickly. i’d say this location has a good amount of «tester» stuff so if you wanna give something a try before you buy it, come here first! i would shop at this actual store more, but shopdiscover gives at least 5% cashback so i usually check things out on there first. the store is great for convenience though, if you need something quick or actually need someone to help you pick out a shade, etc.

I’ve had very pleasant experiences here. I think I like this store more than the North Star location. The products are tidy and well stocked. I have never had issues finding what I’m looking for. The staff has always been great to me. They are there when I need them but don’t hover. The not-hovering part is most important to me. I hate feeling like someone is following me around the store for the entire shopping trip.

Although customer service is not mean or rude, they are always there. If shopping on a week night, you may be outnumbered by the sales associates, who linger in one area and are eyeing you down. You cannot sample items at times, because they come over to ask how it was and if you would like some suggestions. Now, I know they are doing their job, but at times I have to be borderline rude to ask them to leave me alone. On the weekends, it is busy as could be, and you are trying to find your way in the throng of the crowd. I like the Sephora brand, but this store is not the best representative for the company.

Edit: I take back my negative comments on the customer service. Those seem to have been isolated incidents, because during my most recent trip today everyone was super-duper friendly. I honestly felt guilty that maybe someone had read my previous review. Anyway — happy to report much improvement! :) Sephora itself is a wonderful, wonderful store, but, as another review stated, the customer service at the La Cantera store is lacking. Every time I walk in, I see four or five employees just standing around and chatting. Maybe I look like I know what I’m doing, but I usually don’t and often have questions about the products. I’ve only once been offered a sample and/or product matching. And if I have a question I’ve always had to track someone down. Luckily, it’s really easy to get online and research what I want to pick up at the store. The website has tons of reviews and tips from other people. If I had better self-control, I’d just make my purchases online, but I have a problem with delaying gratification… gotta have it now!!! This location has always been stocked with the products I’ve wanted — unlike some Sephora stores in other cities I’ve visited…

This place is make up heaven. All the tools, most top of the line make up brands. They have like every perfume & colognes and nice hair products as well. Every time I go the employees are nice & helpful. I like going even when I don’t need anything, since I get to check out all of the newest products! If you love make up, this is definitely your go to spot

There is something wrong with the customer service in the store. It’s easy to walk in to the store and see all the employees staring off into space and avoiding eye contact with every customer in the store. The products are fab, but you might as well be doing everything for yourself and lack of guidance in the make-up department can lead to a disaster.

I love Sephora in general, I really do. But when I went to the Sephora at the La Palmera mall, I was in love. LOL A lovely lady named Melody helped me, and when I told her I was looking for long lasting make up for my wedding she immediately took me to Make Up Forever(which I already knew was a good brand but boy did she educate me) and she oh so kindly applied it to my WHOLE face, while alot of people just do a section and leave you to be splotchy for the rest of the day. When I was hesitate to buy the concealer, even though I loved it, she made a 2 week sample for me(which Im still using). She was so friendly as well as everyone else and they just went above and beyond. I’m so incredibley happy with my makeup and I know I’m going to look amazing on my wedding day and I probably wouldn’t have brought myself to Make Up Forver if it weren’t for Melody’s professional opinion.
