Description

Specialties

South Texas Veterinary Ophthalmology focuses on the treatment of eye conditions in dogs and cats. Your primary veterinarian often refers difficult or complicated eye problems to us, but referral is not necessary. You can call for an appointment at any time. We treat every possible condition affecting the eyes from eyelid to eyelash disorders (extra lashes, lids roll in), dry eye, corneal trauma, corneal ulcers, uveitis (inflammation inside eye), cataracts, glaucoma, retinal conditions, sudden blindness, eye infections, trauma, poor vision, eye or eyelid cancers and many other issues. We routinely screen dogs for inherited eye disorders for working and breeding dogs. We are board certified and have undergone rigorous training and testing. We are committed to exceeding client expectations through proper diagnosis, treatment and follow up care. We excel in communication in terms that are easy to understand and have extraordinary abilities in providing you with options for treatment, prognosis, provide payment options, and communication with your primary veterinarian. Our goal is to preserve vision, and keep your pet as comfortable as possible. We also support local non-profits in our incredible on-site rotating animal art exhibits, provide rescue and military discounts, examine working dogs (seeing eye, service, therapy) dogs for FREE in May of every year. We provide services to the San Antonio Zoo, Sea World, and any organization where animals are in need of specialized care.

History

Established in 2004.

Dr. Greller took over the practice from Dr. Rainbow in 2014. Dr. Greller’s new associate is Dr. Lynsey Wagner. Dr. Wagner graduated top of her class from A&M vet school and is a board certified ophthalmologist. She is brilliant, and at the same time is compassionate with her patients and communicates very well with clients. She, along with Dr. Greller make patient care the priority. We have reduced costs to make referral care more affordable. Our goal is QUALITY care. We are shedding any comments in the past about money– we promise, we have our priorities straight!
