Urth Juice Bar

Absolutely love this place. I purchased the 3 day detox. The staff was very helpful. I love the fact that they gave me the nutritional information on each juice. I was encouraged to call if I had any questions. Great customer service goes a long way with me! The juices tast awesome. My favorite ones right now are the Hot Lei and Twang! The prices are great! Ill be back for more.

After a review of six of the local juice bars in San Antonio, Urth was one of my top two places! Woo!
Here’s my reasoning behind this: Urth’s customer service was on point, they made my juice fresh, and I thought it had the best flavor. Other reasons why they were at the top? They provide nutritional information for all of their juices. They will make you custom juice if you wish. And they also have smoothies! (I’m trying those next.)
I don’t think Urth does a traditional «cold press» of their juice, which juicers will tell you means something or other. But no matter — when I see what is actually going into the juice I’m about to consume, I’m okay with it. I also like that they provide nutritional info, because I think many people might assume that «it’s juice… it’s good for me!» and not consider that some of the juices are quite high in calories.
Anyway, I think there have been some complaints about the staff just «walking off» and not explaining, and I actually experienced this here! But I asked the other staffer working, and she said that the lady had gone to the back to get my fresh ingredients so they could make my juice fresh. Sounds good to me! They recommended the Hot Lei, which was SOOOO good. The ginger and cayenne made it perfectly spicy, but it had plenty of sweetness too.
Oh, and I think Urth has some of the best prices around the city. They will also let you purchase one of their cleanses but get the juices at your own pace, so you don’t necessarily have to do it in three days. It helps with the cost of the juice a bit, so if you’re planning on being a frequent customer, I’d ask about this option.

I stopped by here on a trip to San Antonio and loved it. My smoothie was sooooooooo good. Very friendly people. Very fresh juices and smoothies!

The Urth Juice Bar has one thing going for it. It is awesome. The Grassy Knoll is my favorite juice. It raises my spirits and it makes me feel like I got my head blown off. In a good way.

I have been here only once and I am glad that I found this place. When everything was closed on Saturday in San Antonio (which I thought was weird) this place was open. I needed a smoothie and got one that had blueberries and protein in it. For three small smoothies it was a little over $ 15.00 bucks. They use real fruit, no added sugar and real supps. It reminds me of a place I am used to in Austin. They even sell Buddha’s Brew Kombucha too. The customer service was great and they were very helpful on the phone when I had thousands of questions about their smoothies. I will make sure to go back when in SA and need something healthy.

This is my favorite juice bar by far in San Antonio! Located close to the UIW and San Pedro area you will be glad you made the trek here.
Their juices are priced well and they offer 10% off with your Unilocal check in.
If you need a place that offers wifi and want to avoid the typical coffee place, this is the place for you.
My favorite juice is the Grassy Knoll and a second close is the Beetox. They do offer samples of you’re not too sure what you want.
Another favorite thing about Urth is how they deliver throughout all of San Antonio!
Give them a shot and you’ll jump on their bandwagon.

Stopped by this weekend on out way back from a festival. The juices we got were pretty good. We ended up getting a couple of the juices from the fridge, because it seemed to take the lady at the counter a while to make them fresh. they cost around $ 9 each, which I think is a bit overpriced, but not unexpected.

Love this juice bar! It’s cheaper than One Lucky Duck in the Pearl. Friendly and fast service. Their art décor is awesome.

Nice environment. Not too crowded. But high priced but good quality ingredients and friendly service.

They have a wide variety of smoothies and juices. My favorites would be the pina turner smoothie and patagonia juice. Everything is fresh and tastes amazing. My only complaint would be that it is pretty pricey, but understandably so due to the cost of buying all those fresh fruits and veggies. They do have a student discount, but it is not enough to make a huge difference.

They let my doggy go inside vs waiting in the car!!! (: 1^st timer, awesome staff in helping me choose 2 diff juices. Delish! Great idea to save on ur next trip by bringing back ur glass

I have two stars because the smoothie was good. The customer service sucks here, no greeting when i walked in the door, no «may i help you». I got nothing. Being in customer service you have to show some type of care to a customer. But this place lacks of it. I defiantly will not be coming back here. The juice and smoothie were good, but if you dont have that good quality customer service, there is no coming back.

Called to order up the three day supply of various juices. Very quick and simple process. Order ahead of time and they’ll deliver right to your door for a minimal fee. My first delivery was the three day supply (15 bottles) of juices that came in 16oz glass bottles. I can recycle those bottles back to Urth and receive $.50 per bottle towards my next order. Here’s what I had:
Beetox (beets, kale, cucumber, celery, ginger, lemon)
Cashew Milk
Gremlin (kale, ginger, apple, celery, cucumber, lemon)
Juggernaut (swiss chard, apple, ginger)
Vamp (charcoal mixture)
Grassy Knoll (kale, ginger, spinach, apple, cucumber, parsley)
Hot Lei (kale, spinach, parsley, cucumber, ginger, pineapple, cayenne)
Interesting flavors, great experience with the staff at Urth.

Delicious juices in 16 oz. bottles. You can taste the freshness as you take a drink, and you can feel the nutrients of the natural juice through out the day, refreshing your body. The smoothies are a MUST! They are very smooth, flavorful, and filling. Try the ‘Cosmo’ smoothie which has banana, peanut butter, honey, and cinnamon. The prices can be steep, but less than other places I have been to. If you recycle your bottles and bring them back to the store, you get .50 cents per bottle returned. I have been a returning customer!

Heard about Urth from a coworker and after looking it up on Unilocal decided to make a trip over. I like that on Unilocal they offer a 10% off coupon for checking in. As well as a $ 7 for $ 12 coupon to either buy for yourself or send as a gift to a friend. I took advantage of the latter. Only cuz the prices are kinda steep. When I arrived it was that magic time of day when they were dead (I have a knack for timing :-) When I say dead, I mean the only people present were the employees. The shop is very cozy, with lots of cool art that is for sale. (I happen to really like the one of Christopher Walkin) The customer service was okay. Cuz they were empty and still had 2hrs before closing I asked for a quick second to read over the menu and make my choices. It was my first time visiting and I wanted to make the right juice picks for me. My second trip to the counter I informed the young lady that I’d like to use my Unilocal $ 7 for $ 12 and I picked two different juice combinations. After being told she would need to notify someone in the back both the young lady and another employee at the counter continued working. So I stood there…
They continued working… and I stood there. Seconds turned into minutes and neither one was inclined to either start making my selections or go and speak to whomever was in the back that needed to be notified. I decided to NOT be that annoying customer so I went and sat down and began reading. After getting through a couple articles and still not being called to retrieve my order I decided to go pay. Walking back to the counter I asked about paying and covering the difference that would need to be owed. They both acknowledged me but continued working. Finally after the young man finished making and putting labels on full bottles that they had just filled, he began fulfilling the monetary side of my transaction. Then bent down and retrieved my two juice orders from a fridge under the counter… DOH!!! I was waiting in an empty shop for what reason!!! Both of these employees were in no hurry to help me and in doing so gave poor customer service to a first time visitor. Bad impression I must say. I very much liked the juice but do I want to go back and possibly be made to wait a lengthy amount of time for a juice combination on the menu that is kept in stock under the counter?! No, that’s crazy. If I do go back for a second try, it’ll be during the busy time of day when they have premade selections out for customers to pick up at their leisure and purchase right away.
This was a weird visit and it’ll be a while before I give Urth another try

Ya know, sometimes I just want someone else to make my fresh juice and every time lately I want that someone, Urth is closed. WHY!!! Why make me feel even worse that I’m so lazy that I’m upset that you’re closed when I want you open?!
Aside from those hangover Sundays when Urth isn’t open. I like Urth Juice Bar.
I love their pre-​bottled selection, which cuts the juicers juice time in half for most customers. Sometimes the people behind the counter forget to ring us up, and that’s ok. I get it. You’re hungover too. So we can be friends. I promise to remind you to ring me up every time.

Tucked away in the Alamo Heights area is a strip of a few unique shops — including the super local Urth Juice Bar. When I saw they offered a Unilocal deal, it was bookmarked quickly.
Service was super friendly and helpful when digesting what the menu could do for you. There are some pre-​juiced bottles by the door if you’re in a hurry. Luckily, I wasn’t so I got a Beetox juice and choco flax smoothie.
While I waited for them to be made, I sat on one of their comfy couches and admired all of the art and uniquely painted walls. If I had some studying to do in college, I’d park it here — maybe that would’ve eased my caffeine addiction?
The beetox juice was straight up spinach, kale, lemon, ginger and beets. No fillers here, folks. It made me feel so much better after an early morning flight and poor decision of a Starbucks doughnut.
