Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Quick, easy, straight to the point. Walked in, got the a full service synthetic oil change and the nitrogen in my tires topped off. In and out within 35 minutes. Used a $ 7 off coupon on my phone and got out no hassle.

After having gone here twice, I decided to give this location 4 stars since the service was great. However, after trying their services a third time, I’m giving them the lowest possible rating and never going back again!
I had 2 hours in between my next doctors appointment and was in need of an oil change so I figured that should be enough time to stop by. Granted it was 9am on a weekday, I didn’t think they would be very busy. When I pulled up, there were only 2 other cars waiting so I thought, great this should be quick. After an hour of waiting, I realized everyone was coming and going except for me. When I peeked out of the waiting room to see where my car was, it was no where in sight. After another half an hour, I finally went out to see what was going on. At that time, they told me they were trying to find the right oil for my car and had parked it off to the side of the building. Sketchy if you ask me. I don’t keep much in my car, so there wasn’t much for them to take if they were snooping. They then said they finally found an oil but it was going to cost me $ 85 plus tax. I drive a 2014 Rogue. I’ve NEVER paid that much for my car! When I said that was absurd, I only typically spend about $ 45, he made up some car jargon about how my car couldn’t take normal oil and blah blah blah. So I told him to just give me car back and I would go elsewhere. Not surprisingly, they said they already drained the oil so I was out of luck. When he knew I wasn’t budging on the price, he somehow managed to give me a «huge discount» bringing my total back down to the usual $ 45. How convenient. He told me I could have gone to a dealership for my oil change to save a little bit more but that I would have had to wait a few hours. When I told him at that point that I had been now waiting for 2 hours, he had nothing to say. I asked to please hurry as I had an appointment. He responded condescendingly with, oh do you have to go get your manicure/​pedicure or something? Apparently since I’m a woman, this is how we spend our time. So after a 2 hour wait and getting taken advantage of by condescending staff, I finally got my car back. Needless to say, I will never be returning to another Valvoline.

I really like this location because everyone is very nice, they are open later than 5pm and I never have to wait too long and it’s a Wifi hotspot so you aren’t bored to tears. Look in your mail for Valpak coupons for oil changes and maintenance. A radiator flush (via a machine, not by hand) is $ 89.99, and I found a 10% off coupon. Cavender Buick wanted $ 139 for the same service. You can also check online for great coupons.

They do an ok job here, but how hard is it to do an oil change really… There quote times are ridiculously off!!! Said few mins, I asked what’s that mean said about 20. It took over an hour for my car to even get looked at!!! I guess they’re either just incompetent or super slow. I’ve been here before, and even with more cars in front of me it didn’t take this long. I doubt I’ll be back.

I desperately needed an oil change, & someone to fix the dragging skid plate that another oil change plate had left hanging, so I stopped in here because of its location in Stone Oak & the positive Unilocal reviews. I love that it was a drive-​thru service– so convenient! You drive up & can either stay in the car while they work or wait on their tiny covered patio. Service was quick– the whole thing took about 10min! My only disappointment was that while the customer service was friendly initially, I experienced some attitude when I inquired about the pricing of the different oil change packages. Initially they wanted to charge me $ 60! I have never paid that much for an oil change & I told them so. He told me the manufacturer recommended a pricier oil for my car, but couldn’t explain well what the difference was & if it was truly necessary. I got the feeling he just wanted an up sale, which I didn’t appreciate. I ended up selecting just the basic package & he did not seem very happy with my choice. I am going to go elsewhere for my next oil change.

I got my Texas inspection done here and an oil change. They were very fast and inexpensive without an appointment.

Conveniently located in Stone Oak, I found a coupon today for ½ off, which brought my oil change to $ 17.99. I usually pay about 31 – 40 at all those other quick change places, including that one that’s always pushing all the extra services.
These people were not pushy at all and Cayla and team were very nice and professional. The oil change took about 25 minutes total. Gone are the days of those 9 minute oil changes because they are more thorough and check a lot more than just oil today. I appreciate that.
The reason I didn’t give them a 5 is their waiting room. There was no coffee or TV. Nowadays, especially in this upscale area of Stone Oak, it should be mandatory to have at least a 31 inch flat screen minimum with CNN on, and I would further suggest a little cooler with generic bottled waters like Discount tire has.
Look for the «Coupons» for the half off, as they are always on that ½ off site.

The service here is always great. They have reasonable hours, are open 7 days a week, & can handle all your basic auto needs. Routine inspection& oil change, maintenance, air filters, etc. They send coupons in the mail, and will take them even if they are expired! They keep you in their system, so you don’t have to give your info every time you go. They are reasonably priced, and their waits are hardly ever long, because they are super efficient. They let you check your dipstick to make sure everything looks good before finishing up, & have great waiting areas to sit. They are located right next door to Wendy’s so you can run over for a drink if you have a longer wait. They’ll call you when your car is ready if you leave! The machinists are always polite & friendly. I will always use their services as long as they continue to provide great customer service & quality care.

Very impressed with this business. They are very busy today but they are getting through the vehicles quickly. Their communication skills with each other is very impressive. I’ve used them since we moved here and don’t plan on using anyone else.

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE! They tried to charge me double what I pay at the dealership, told me the dealership could be lying about what kind of oil they use, and just plain tried to take me for an idiot. They apparently lost my oil plug when they drained my oil and then tried to charge me for a new one. They tried to tell me that the dealership overfilled my oil last time (with 5 liters instead of 4.4 liters) and that was what destroyed my oil plug. I finally said that I didn’t want them to do anything to my car, I just wanted to leave. So he said «Oh, I wish you would have told me that before I drained your oil.» Then to top it all off, they told me that they couldn’t get my oil filter off because it was on too tight. I left and went straight to the dealership. I’m glad I did because the service tech told me that my new (aftermarket, generic) oil plug was barely tightened on. This place saw a blonde woman with a nice handbag and figured they’d try to make some extra cash. Not this time! They’re the idiots, not me!

In and out kinda spot. I always leave this location very pleased. I believe it was Mike who just helped us this afternoon. He was very knowledgable and honest. Not pushy at all– like other places who try to sell you things that are not necessary at the moment. Will return.

This Place was Great. They showed me things that were overlooked by other places I went for oil changes. They said service was going to be about 45 mins and it was actually done in less time. I think they were on the higher priced side but were very friendly and helpful.

Until yesterday, I had taken my car to another business for the past 5 or 6 years. Although considerably less expensive ($ 21 with coupon), I always had to wait 2-​plus hours for an oil & filter change. Based on positive Unilocal reviews, I gave Valvoline Instant Oil Change a shot. I arrived on busy Saturday afternoon and was customer #5 (plus the 3 vehicles occupying the service bays). I declined the upgraded oil (waste of money). They gave me a basic oil & filter change, topped off my fluids, and checked the air pressure in my tires and my battery. Technician showed me the oil level on the dipstick — a first anywhere. They were fast and friendly. Price $ 41.41 minus military discount dropped it to $ 35. Forty-​five minutes later, I was pulling out! So, was it worth 2 hours of my time to pay $ 14 extra? Heck yes. I’m never going back to the other business.

Went here because I have a coupon from the Entertainment Book on my mobile phone. The service was quick & friendly, no hassles at all. I needed my headlight changed & the young man was very helpful (they don’t do that there) but he made suggestions & gave me the info for the best way to get that done on the cheap! They didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need, took my mobile coupon & sent me on my way. Plus, I received a $ 10 off coupon by email for my next oil change.

brought car in for an oil change. Tech walked into the waiting room with the air filter in his hand and stated it did not need to be replaced. no sh*t it didn’t need replacing — why isn’t the oil change done yet!

Drove up at 12:55pm, one car back, three bays being worked. 1hour and 15 minutes later, my car is ‘ready to go’. No way a simple oil change should take that long. Worse yet, the ‘pit crew’ stopped frequently, we’re distracted easily, and had absolutely no regard for moving any faster. Never again

I came here after noticing the coupon on Google maps. The oil change service was quick and mechanics were very friendly. One complaint is that they were unaware of the coupon and were quite surprised when i showed them.
