Established in 1994.

On Trac started as a small family home based business in 1994 and has since grown to include 4 locations through out Southern California with over 50 employees.

We specialize in residential garage doors, installing all types of wood, steel, aluminum, composite and custom doors. We have a full line of automatic openers and parts. We also do service and repairs on existing doors.

Business Owner

Chuck started in the door industry in1989 as an installer, later moving to sales and eventually became a branch manager for a prominent door company in California.

In 1994 he started his current business from his home. Within 10 years he had 75 employees and 4 locations. Chuck was among the first to pass the IDEA Accredited Garage Door Dealer test in Nashville 1997.

Chuck played Division-I baseball at Cal State LA and majored in business and marketing. He has been married since 1985 to his wife Terri who also works in the business. Together they have 3 children and 2 grandchildren. Their 2 sons, Chris (25) and Kyle (21) also work at On Trac. Their daughter Katie (23) played softball and graduated from Auburn University with a business degree in 2011.

Chuck is a huge sports enthusiast and likes to play golf and enjoys fly fishing.

I contacted On Trac to replace my heavy wooden tilt up garage door. The entire process was great. There was no pressure to buy the most expensive door. Everyone was friendly and helpful and my garage door arrived on time just as promised. Daniel handled the installation and did a great job. He was on time and had a great attention to detail. I would highly recommend On Trac.

I purchased a door and opener unit with the Gold Warranty. After 4 years my remote control was working sporadically. The serviceman came out and determined i needed a new circuit board, replaced it and all was well for 1 ½ more years, then the same issue appeared. The serviceman replaced the entire unit this time and it is working like a charm! There was no charge as it was covered under my warranty. i am very satisfied with their quick response and professional service.

I had a two-car and single-car door installed by On Trac at the end of June. I noticed immediately that it was louder than I was anticipating, because supposedly these new models were quieter than the older ones – according to the salesman. But my new garage doors were just as loud if not louder than my 15-year-old previous garage doors. Turns out, it may have been due to a simple improper install, because 4 months after the initial install the track fell out of my wall. I called the customer service rep today (Tuesday) and they said they couldn’t get out until Thursday. Meanwhile, I have a broken garage door that won’t open. Thank God, both of my cars were already out of the garage. If these guys can come out and reinstall the doors properly I will certainly give them more stars. But really, the track shouldn’t be falling out of the wall after 4 months and they should come out that day or the next day to fix – instead of two days later.
Update: On Trac sent someone out the next day. They fixed the problem and it runs much smoother and quieter now. 4 stars for the prompt response, but I can’t give 5 stars because it should have been installed correctly the first time.

As always great, honest and quick service from On Trac! Called this morning (10÷26÷15) for someone to come out and look at a garage door that would not roll up. And now (2pm same day) the door is fixed. I wasn’t going to be surprised if it needed a new motor, and I had no problem paying for one. From the last time i did business with On Trac I knew I could trust them. So much so I wasn’t even at the location that needed service today. Just told them to call me and I’ll pay over the phone. I was going to completely trust their word. Well as expected they were prompt and professional. They inspected the motor and diagnosed a broken part. No need for a new motor! The technician (Ralph) had the part needed and installed it.
EXTREMELY GREAT PRICE!!!
I will say it time and again, these guys are professionals. Not just some random guys that work on garage doors.
They take pride in there work and are knowledgeable in their trade.
I will be calling them soon for a new garage door and motor for my new home!

Wow, I was really surprised to come on here and see such mixed reviews. Usually, I am pretty obsessive about reading reviews before selecting a company, but I guess I must have felt extra secure with the partnership between On Trac and Costco. Luckily, our experience has been great.
My husband and I requested a quote from On Trac. The representative was very professional and didn’t make us feel pressured at all. Shortly after, I called another local company that was recommended by coworkers and the man that came to give me a quote was condescending and rude. Since the prices were equivalent, we selected On Trac.
After placing our order, the door arrived very quickly. The two man crew that came to install it was very professional and walked us through everything they were going to do, then reviewed everything with us before they left. Our door turned out beautifully and we are very happy with our experience.

My garage door opener was not working. I called On Trac on Tuesday at 2:45 pm and was told someone would call me back to schedule an appointment. On Wednesday I called another company, and today I had the repair done.
On Trac still has not called me to schedule the appointment.

Wonderful service from Paul to the great installers. My daughter and I surprised my hubby with a new roll up door to replace our 70 heavy solid wooden door. Im a fan of OnTrac. We bought our door through Costco. Our sales guy is great and service was awesome. It took about a week and a half to get the door installed. The installer was also really pleasant. We already had the motor but had an issue with it and when I reached out to our sales guy he offered to help us with that too. Don’t get all the negative comments because we had a great experience.

I am so happy with the service we had from On Trac. We were given them through Costco. The sales people were friendly and not pushy. They answered all of our questions (and we had many!!) without rolling their eyes at us once! Every step of the way, there was great communication. Pissed customer here.
New house with a garage door installed by this company.
There has been a problem with remote distance for months! The door can not be open until I stand next to it with the remote!
Called hundreds of times for them to send a guy here.
What really ridiculous is that the technician who arrived at my house had to call his «supervisor» to ask what he should do!
After that, they promised that they will change the board of the opener. But no updates since then, called them several times and they make you provide all information again and again.
Just called them one more time several minutes ago and a lady said she’ll call me back because she lost the track of my situation and have to take some time to track it down.
If there ever was a 0 star…

Ontrac installation department is totally chaotic and when nice talking sales people drums up a sales it depends on the field staff to deliver. I ordered 2 doors as a builder and installation staff showed up and decided without consulting with me that I was not ready and took off and when I called I was rescheduled to a couple of days later and when I objected they cancelled my order and this company has zero customer service mentality and please stay away. There are many good company out there. Cross this one out

I ordered directly from On Track in January (still don’t have windows) because their salesman said they’re manufacturer unlike Mesa Garage Door Company (should’ve $ 500.00 cheaper) who orders them n has them shipped in. No offer of discount for waiting all this time because «the person you were working with no longer works here» after a month of not returning my calls. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT!!! WISH I HAD MY OLD DOOR BACK AND NEVER MET THESE LOSERS!!!

After my experience with On Trac I find it hard to believe the negative reviews. I contacted On Trac through Costco. I called them on a Sunday! And made an appointment to have someone come out to give me an estimate. The salesperson came out… on time and gave me my estimate, went over options, left a product brochure etc. this guy was extremely professional in his approach and did not pressure me at all.
I originally was looking to have my door repaired and I called people listed here on Unilocal.I had one who not only did not show on his appointed date but they lost any notation that ever called. Then they had the audacity to ask me if I still wanted to order a door! I told them since they did not homer their first commitment, I had no confidence they would live up to it a second time. I called another door company about a replacement and this guy wanted to repair the door. I told him multiple times I wanted to replace. He looks at me, gives me a replacement price and tells me nothing about what I’m buying.
I’d had enough, I went back to On Trac. I called them back and Sean (sp) my original salesperson came back out, took measurements and ordered my door. Within 2 days I was called to set up installation. The installer showed up… on time. Completed the install within the allotted time and everything works great.
I would fully recommend this option to those looking for a garage door… oh, and I got a $ 120 Costco gift card with my purchase.
True there are a lot of garage door companies out there but if I have a problem, and I don’t think I will, Costco will take care of it.

I ordered a door from this company a few weeks ago through the costco membership. I had to change the type of door I ordered and cancel the opener since I was able to find the same opener for less than ½ the price online.
I had paid with a CC and only chaged the ordered 3 days (over a long weekend) later. One week later I found out that they had charged my CC for the initial purchase amount and when I called they told me they would refund the amount but I had to go to a costco to pick up my check for the difference.
If YOU make a mistake and overcharge my card then take the responsibility to correct it without giving you customers the run-around!
I have a feeling I am not going be happy with my purchase from this company and the installation but I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
