Over the last 30 years Bay Area IV Wisdom has removed more than 25,000 impacted wisdom teeth and completed more than 5,000 sedations. Patients are in a light sleep through the procedure and have no memory of the event. Most patients can have 4 wisdom teeth removed painlessly in 30 minutes.

Bay Area IV Wisdom provides wisdom teeth removal service for more than 30 offices in the Bay Area.

Age is everything when it comes to impacted wisdom teeth. Patients from about age 14 to 25 can have their wisdom teeth removed predictably and safely with a minimum of trauma.

History

Established in 1989.

Dr. Wayland is a general dentist who limits his practice to the removal of teeth, especially wisdom teeth, with IV and oral sedation. Bay Area IV Wisdom was founded in 1989 after several dentist friends asked him to help their patients with wisdom teeth removal. The company has provided comfortable wisdom teeth removal with anesthesia for more than 50 dentists in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Dr. Wayland is a diplomat in the International Dental Implant Association and a former faculty member at UCLA and UCSF schools of dentistry. He is ACLS certified and is a sedation evaluator for the California Dental Board.

Dr. Wayland is a 1981 graduate of UCSF School of Dentistry and is a former faculty member and instructor at UCSF and UCLA School of Dentistry.

He is a California Dental Board On Site Sedation Evaluator, California Sedation Permit 163, ACLS Certified, former Doctors Hospital Staff, Alumnus of LD Pankey Institute, Las Vegas Institute. He is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and Diplomate in the American Dental Implant Association.

The Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship is a distinction held by less than one percent of all dentists in the United States. The award requires 500 hours of course study, a comprehensive written exam, and a minimum of five years to complete.

International Dental Implant Association Diplomate Certification requires 350 hours of course study, written examination, and oral examination.

Dr. Wayland also holds Master status in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.

If you want wisdom tooth extraction, go with Dr. Wayland.
I had mine and it was done great. Very little bleeding after the surgery. I barely feel any pain. I had IV sedation, so I cannot tell you what happened during the procedure since I had no idea. I don’t have memory of it because of the IV sedation.
Dr. Wayland, spend time prior to the surgery explaining the detail of the surgery, and even called Sunday night to confirm that I am doing great post surgery.
Surgery isn’t painless, and recovery will take some time. The instruction I had for pre/post surgery was given to me a few days ahead was very detail, I knew what the expect.
30 years of experience is no joke. He knows exactly what he is doing, and he did a fantastic job for me.

I saw Dr. Wayland in Roseville, Calif. He was wonderful! I was so worried and concerned about having my wisdom tooth pulled. I expressed my concerns to him and he explained everything to me. I was in the chair, started to feel sedated and before I knew it the tooth was out. I spent so much time worrying about nothing. Dr. Wayland called last night to make sure I was doing well. I am feeling just fine the day after and am so happy to have had this positive experience. Dr. Wayland was personable, professional and efficient. I would highly recommend him to any one with wisdom teeth issues. Thank you Dr. Wayland for taking good care of me.

I work in one of the many Dental Offices that Dr. Wayland removes Wisdom Teeth in and all I can say is «Wow!»
Before I had even thought about getting my Wisdom Teeth pulled, Dr. Wayland had been coming to our office for our patients (little did I know, I’d soon be one of his patients as well). The first time I met Dr. Wayland I could see how passionate he was about his job and that excited me to be able to work with him.
Dr. Wayland is very professional. He makes sure all his patients take their medication and feel comfortable before he gets started. He explains post-op instructions thoroughly for family/friends to understand and gives his mobile number to them just in case they have any questions. He is also very fast! When the procedure is done, he helps his patients out to their car with a wheelchair and makes sure they have a driver. And at the end of the day he calls all his patients to make sure they are feeling fine.
I am so thankful that I got my Wisdom Teeth extracted by Dr. Wayland! I didn’t feel a thing and was even able to come into work the next day with very minimal swelling. He did an amazing job and I will recommend him to anyone who is afraid and/or needs their Wisdom Teeth removed!

Phew, that was easy. My son had his wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Wayland and every aspect of this adventure was a cake walk. My son’s pediatric dentist, Dr. Porter (Santa Cruz) first and foremost recommends Dr. Wayland for wisdom teeth removal. He is so impressed with Wayland, that his own kids have had the procedure done by him. It gets better. Wayland often works out of surrounding area dentist’s offices, so that means if your child happens to be one of those lucky patients attending one of these offices, you don’t have to look any further. The procedure is done in a familiar office that your child is use to, and with the same office staff s/he have come to known over the years.
From the start, we were reassured that Dr. Wayland was incredibly competent, and had a great bedside manner. On the big day of surgery, he welcomed my son with a smile, some good teen conversation, and assured him and I several times that the procedure would be easy and that my son would be fine. He went over the procedure and post op instructions so well, that I felt as if I walked out of there with my own D.D.S degree. He offered his phone number and a lot of reassurance. And, he popped out my son’s teeth within 45 minutes! Oh, and he called the next morning to see how my son was doing. I would recommend Dr. Wayland in a heart beat.
