Mr. Walti helped my ex and me through our divorce. He was easy to talk to, fair, and knowledgable. We explained our time and financial constraints, and Mr. Walti and his team worked with us to finalize everything as quickly as possible. Mr. Walti was fair with prices and did not charge us for going over our scheduled time. The process was very smooth and as painless as possible given the situation. Would recommend!

After my ex and I interviewed three other highly rated mediators, we decided to work with Paul Walti based on referrals from our peers, recommendations from divorce attorneys, and our conversations with him.
When mediating a divorce, a couple should work with an experienced, impartial, fair mediator to guide them through the difficult process. Paul is just that mediator, and is respected and connected in the legal community. It took us a while to figure out how to navigate through the process of getting everything settled cooperatively. Using mediation can save a couple money and heartache, and will be easier on the family unit if each participant is forthcoming and honest.
Thank you, Paul, for getting us amicably through a difficult time. And transitioning us from married to separated to divorced, without the financial ruin that accompanies so many divorces.

I logged into Unilocal to find an auto glass dealer and saw that Mr. Walti had responded to a review I’d written several years ago (see below). I didn’t even remember the review, but was somewhat surprised to see the claims he made in his response.
Just to clear up a couple of points. Mr. Walti claims «I mediated this matter to a settlement.» This is in fact 100% untrue. Despite the months of time and thousands of dollars invested in his services, Mr. Walti did not complete even so much as an initial draft of the settlement agreement. And, absolutely did not mediate the matter to a settlement.
Later in his Unilocal response, Mr. Walti contradicts his own claim of mediating a settlement and admits that he was «told to stop working on this matter because I had not completed the draft in a timely manner.» It is true that he had not completed the draft as promised and that he and his office eventually became entirely non-​responsive. But, I believe that we could have overcome a couple weeks of delay on a process that was already several months long. In my mind, the reason for his termination was a general lack of competency and professionalism along with doubt that the situation was likely to improve.
Last, Mr. Walti cites a «peer rating» on
as evidence of his ethical standards, claiming that it represents «the highest rating in Legal Ability and Ethical Standards.» A quick Google search reveals that
is a pay-​for-​play internet advertising site that lawyers use to promote their services. Internet Brands, Inc., the parent company of
, owns several other lawyer marketing websites including

My condolences go out to Mr. Walti and his family for their loss. And, I am sure that Mr. Walti is a fine individual. And, I am even more sure that nobody on Unilocal cares one way or another about this review. However, it is disingenuous for Mr. Walti to claim that he mediated a settlement on this matter.

After experiencing the apathy, ineptitude and greed of other avenues going through a divorce, I decided to try mediation. My ex, chose Paul Walti as our mediator. I want to say that I found Paul to be very helpful, caring, and organized going through the very undignified process of going through a divorce. Paul was on top of the entire situation going through the entire process. At each meeting, Paul had an agenda, stuck to it and made sure everything was taken care of. His staff was also organized and helpful.
