Amazing, amazing. I don’t understand the bad reviews for customer service. We worked with Jessica and she was incredible. Norene also helped out.
It took us MONTHS to find the perfect tile to work with the many different pieces of our interior remodel/​upgrades. This is partly due to the fact that I wasn’t able to get over there as often as I would have liked. But Jessica was amazing. She offered great design suggestions and connected us with an amazing tile contractor.
I was nervous about the tile portion of our remodel. If I had known what good hands I’d be in from the outset, I would not have been. Fantastic!

So, I had gone to Velletri first (down the street) first, and had already selected everything except the floor tile. I had a vision, and hadn’t found what I was looking for yet, so this was the other vendor that my contractor suggested.
In the meantime, I saw a material online that mentioned AT&S as a dealer, so I thought I’d give ‘em a whirl, with not only the product I wanted, but I also wanted to see if they could match the prices at Velletri.
As soon as I walked in, I asked a few questions, and the receptionist kindly showed me around. This is a whole other ball game vs. Velletri. Their showroom had much more product, but not as smartly laid out.
All of their reps either seemed busy with a customer, involved on the phone, or immersed in work. It was prob about 15 or 20 min before an customer service rep actually stopped me if I needed anything. By then, I had already found everything I was looking for, including the product that I saw online in addition to comparable materials for the backsplash. The only thing I didn’t see what the countertop from Velletri that I liked.
It took another few minutes for someone to write my up an estimate, and I was out the door.
The rep said she’d call me back to see if she could find the countertop, and she never did.
Regardless, my contractor deals with these guys on a regular basis, so everything else was handled by him, and I was happy.
I give them a higher rating than Velletri cuz, bottom line, I found what I was looking for here. If I had been at the beginning of the process, or if I hadn’t known what to look for, then this place prob wouldn’t have worked for me.
So, because they don’t necessarily pounce on you when you walk in the door and because I knew what my vision was, that prob helped in the process here.

I went into ATS for expert advice and order flooring for a 5×5 bathroom shower since I was remodeling my first time. I worked with a young lady named Anisha. The sale happened very fast.
I ordered WAY TOO MUCH – enough flooring to cover our entire living room. Anisha places these orders every day as part of her job, which leads me to believe the sales reps there are incentivized to close fast sales instead of provide genuine customer service. She had no problem giving me a discount, knowing I ordered 125 sq ft more than I needed. $ 2000 overspent.
The next day I frantically called back to explain the situation. They said a restocking fee would be ~$ 680 and they would only issue store credit. Horrible customer service. I bet Anisha is enjoying her commission check.

I agree with PM, Daphne and others, would give 0 stars for customer service if possible.
In this day and age, we go to a store for the professional advice and customer service, otherwise we could just shop online for cheaper!
When we placed an order that was 12x too large (our contractor forgot to divide by inches to get feet), the sales person never mentioned that this would be a ridiculous amount of tile for a single shower floor.
After we caught the mistake, they refused to share any responsibility, want to charge 40% restocking fee, and give us the refund in store credit. Who wants credit from a store that is too expensive with unethical sales people?
Bad advice– be careful what you order here.

We’ve had really good experiences at Artistic Tile. The sales staff was very helpful with making choices — there’s just so much to wade through and try to decide about. The order was done well, we had no glitches to speak of. The price we paid for our granite was just amazing ($ 1200 for TWO slabs? That’s practically free!) and the entire process was very friendly and simple. I also like the atmosphere. The two managers, Cynthia and Norine (I hope I’m spelling that right) have been right there for every question/​concern. The prices are a tad higher than, say, a box store, but the service and quality are worth the extra expense.

I ordered some tiles from Artistic Tile & Stone for a fireplace hearth. I picked out some basic tiles and looked for a free sales person to place an order. Artistic Tile & Stone does not have its own warehouse, so after you place an order, it takes a week for the order to arrive from another vendor’s warehouse. God forbid that your order gets messed up, because then it will be another week. My order arrived on time a week later and my contractor picked it up without any problems.
1 star off: However, despite my accurate calculations and ordering 20% more than my calculations, my project still ended up one tile short due to the irregular shape of my fireplace hearth. I called Artistic Tile & Stone to place another order for one more piece of tile, only to find that they will charge me another $ 20 to have that *one* tile shipped. The tile is only 1’X1’.
1 star off: And of course, it will take another week for that *one* tile to arrive.
The sales staff is not very warm, but that is okay. I will not take any stars off for that… I am just buying TILES.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. While their selection is good, the people in there are terrible at client service. They are friendly enough but I think they are just completely disorganized.
Here are some examples:
1) One of the times we were in there, this woman (I think she is the manager there) was working with me and in the middle of working with me, started working with someone else who walked in.
2) They are TERRIBLE at any kind of follow up. We asked for something specific, which this same woman said she would look into for us. A week went by and she didn’t call back. So I followed up and she had no idea what I was talking about. She took down my name and number again and said she would call me back. To date, NO call back — I think that was about four months go.
I would never go back there for anything except to look around. I don’t know how they continue to have clients.

i purchased in excess of $ 20,000 of product here, probably more, i never did the final calculation. everything was fine during the ‘purchase’ phase and the owner (i think she is the owner). Cynthia Campanile was very helpful when i was PURCHASING. i will give her credit for taking time to help me plan many rooms.
HOWEVER, that’s where it ends and true colors and LACK of customer service comes in. there were some screw ups (ATS was at fault. period.) that caused me several thousands of dollars in additional material and labor. the mistake started with ATS spec’ing out certain material to trim glass tile. NEVER in the purchasing process was this detail mentioned to me nor were any alternatives given. in contrast, every little detail of everything else was given to me.
as a result a stainless shluter (didn’t know what was until this episode) was ordered, spec’d by cynthia and subsequently installed by the tile guy. i absolutely hated it and it ruined my very expensive bathroom. to fix it was going to cost me thousands $$$ since i would pay for labor and need new very expensive glass tile. my contractor was willing to chip in with the cost to replace even though he had nothing to do with the problem. but Cynthia not only was not going to own up to any responsibility, i felt that she was aggressively offensive me as a customer. all she could do was cover her ass and blame everyone else. she wouldn’t even consider paying a penny. unreal in a business where customer referrals is everything. and simply didn’t make sense when she went into painstaking detail on everything else, but wiped her hand of accountability here.
another problem was the ordering too few tiles for backsplash glass tile in the master bath. by the time it was to be installed, we had to order the entire amount all over again, not the extra 1 foot because the lot was sold out. i was just paying and paying. i couldn’t wait to be finished with ATS so that i could post the truth.
now, i realize mistakes are made. it happens. but, as a business owner myself, i pride myself in listening to the customer and simply making things right when mistakes are made. i would have been happy for even a piece of the cost reimbursed to me. nothing offered. nothing even considered.
Cynthia was horrible and i would NEVER shop there again nor would i ever recommend her. STAY AWAY. all is good while you hand over your $$$$. but buyer beware. this company has ZERO customer service policies.
make sure you get it all 100% because any mistake will be YOUR fault and the company does NOT stand behind their service. period. RUN, don’t walk from this place.
ah, i just read tony’s response. i am not a venture capitalist. never was, never will be there. more lies. just too funny and pathetic.

5 stars for convenience! I can’t even begin to count how many of my projects came out of this showroom. It’s a great showroom, there’s a good selection, the sales staff are helpful not snooty, the prices are competitive and the product always arrived.

Just a heads-​up– they don’t do appointments on Saturdays (makes it a little more difficult for us working folks). Nice selection though.

We found Cynthia at Artistic Tile and Stone to be extremely helpful. She worked with my wife to create two distinctly different bathrooms with textures and colors that were very different but went well together. Our remodeled baths do have that WOW factor. Cynthia’s drawings of what the final look would be were very helpful to me, who is not as good at visualizing outcomes as is my wife. We referred to the pictures more than once during the project. She was honest about product delivery times and accurate on amounts we should order. It was a great experience from beginning to end and I do recommend them to our friends and people we know are getting ready to start tile or stone projects. I also recommend calling and scheduling an appointment with Cynthia because that will give you the priority you need with her time.

We had a very pleasant experience working Jessica from our initial consultation to the very last day when our tiles were ready for pickup.
All of the staff at ATS are very pleasant to work with, courteous and were able to help us the pick out the best tiles for our bathroom projects, all within a day! (It did help that we had a design/​color scheme in mind).
They were also super helpful when we were looking for an imperfect granite slab for our fireplace! They ended up having one in stock, and arranged for pickup by a third party vendor who cut the slab for us.
In all cases we were able to take samples home for a couple of days to try them out.
I would highly recommend ATS for your tile shopping needs. Oh, and the little coffee stand/​area at the front is helpful for longer visits :-)

Our contractor referred us to Artistic Tile & Stone, and we worked with Anisha. Anisha has a great eye for color and design, and she was very patient with us.
We wanted to buy from this shop because Anisha is customer service oriented and she comes up with many options. Unfortunately we didn’t know that many tile and stone stores have to order from their suppliers and it can take about 2 weeks to receive the order. We needed the backsplash materials before this time frame to continue our project.
Moral of the story… remember to give yourself at least 2 weeks to get the order shipped in time for your job. And do check out this tile and stone shop and ask for Anisha.

As a designer, builder… who offers one stop shopping approach — «Design, build and Furnish» we always work with sources we can trust and rely on! As you would expect nothing but the best from us, we also require the same from our suppliers !!!
That is why we thorougly enjoy working with Dave at Artistic Tile!

I called asking if they had an item in stock for me to buy online and have shipped to me and she told me that I would probably be a lot happier with a different item and she told me what it was and where to buy it and how much it cost and I was just super duper happy that she helped me because my house it a total mess and under construction and i really needed help right this minute and she helped me and that was really awesome.

I haven’t purchased tile or stone here, but I was in urgent search of a granite stain remover and none of the hardware stores (Ace, Home Depot, etc.) carried it in stock. When I called Artistic Tile & Stone, they had Aquamix in stock, and the woman who picked up the phone was really helpful both on the phone and later in person explaining the uses of the product, looking up detailed instructions, etc. When I was back at home and needed some further assistance, the guy who picked up my call listened carefully to my problem, made every effort to research what I was asking, and called me back with an answer quickly. I really appreciated the fantastic customer service and would love to come back when I am in need of stone!

Well, it took something bad enough to happen for me to register and post my 1^st ever review on Unilocal.Wow! A 52% markup on an item purchased at ATS. Found the same item at a tile store in San Jose for much less and requested a price match. After asking for a manager, a sales rep at he would not match price because they also had «shipping and overhead» costs to consider. Really? Manager didn’t even have the decency to come out and talk to me… sent a sales guy to give me the bad news. FYI– the amount in question… $ 20. If they are willing to upset a client over a few bucks, I am not trusting them with the rest of my tile job. Poor business practices all around. i.e. cost, service, professionalism, good judgement, good will, you name it. Good thing it’s not a monopoly and there are dozens of tile shops in the area. This business man is taking his business elsewhere!

We’ve done a few house projects and have come to realize that it’s easy to have a great experience where others have complained and a terrible experience where others have raved. So the mixed reviews here surprise me but I guess to each his own. We’ve worked with Artistic Tile twice in the past year and been very happy both times. Last year we worked with Jennifer on a deck remodel and this past week Cynthia was over-​the-​top helpful in both designing our bathroom and selecting the right tile. This year we were up against the clock with our contractor starting next week, so we basically spent two hours with Cynthia (as an unscheduled walk-​in) going over lots of different styles, prices, etc. So we had no time to bring samples home, but last year on our deck remodel they kept providing sample after sample and were very polite and patient as we took our time making our selection.
One thing we really love about their store is the variety of displays in the showroom. It really lets you get a good visual and a good feel for the different styles, finishes, etc.
They also provided a reference to a new contractor to help us waterproof our deck last year and he was so good he is now doing our bath remodel.
I wish I knew these guys when we did our first remodel 6 years ago but we’ll be using them for all our projects going forward.

I’m about to embark on my first home remodel project and was told to check out this place by my contractor. «Ask for Dave, tell him I sent you.»

It pays to know people who know people because Dave was AWESOME.
He took his time, offered suggestions without being pushy, and had great advice on staying within my budget. By and large, the most helpful tile store I went to (and I think I went to all of them along the Industrial corridor). While it’s true that their prices are a little higher than others, you get your money’s worth in terms of service and design assistance.

We were looking to compare a tile backsplash in our new kitchen, versus a full-​height granite continuation of our countertops. So this was the first place we checked out.
Unfortunately, they don’t do installations, but they could recommend a few contractors.
Pricing it out, after buying some larger (read: cheaper) tiles and hiring someone to install it, we had might as well go with the granite backsplash from our countertop guy, so that’s what we did instead.
Their showroom is very large, and has tons of great selections. Seriously, even every section of the flooring here has some amazing tile display going on. It’s actually kinda hard to find what you might be looking for without a guide; but someone was able to help us just a few minutes after we walked in and checked-​in with the front-​desk girl. Sales staff was helpful and knowledgeable.
If you really like tile, this is your place. If you want a good selection of every type of tile, come here. Probably not the place to go for cheap, basic tile (Home Depot would be a better option).
