Excellent food, quick and friendly service! I’d like to see a little more variety in the types of rolls on the lunch menu, but this is a small, cozy sushi place that gets the job done.

Found this sushi place around our work site. The place is tiny, maybe fits like 16 people total. We got here before the«rush» for lunch and scored a table. I got the lunch special with sashimi and chicken teriyaki. It also comes with rice, miso soup, salad. Chicken teriyaki was ok and sashimi had 3 – 4 pieces of pretty fresh fish. Portion size was just right. I was full but not stuffed. I think my guy co-worker was still hungry. Luckily he also got the gyoza appetizer. I tried one and it was ok. The lunch special is also less than $ 10 which is a win. They’re pretty quick too — service wise. Bathroom is located outside of the main building, up the stairs and through a non descript door. A little confusing but glad they have one for customers(with a key).

Sushi is ok — simple menu and decent price for lunch specials. Stacks up to most of the other mediocre sushi. Fish quality isn’t great but it’s probably fine for standard spicy tuna/california roll style bento sushi. Main reason 1 stars vs 3 is because 75% of the reviews are fake on here. Almost everyone who posted a photo has only one review and is using broken English. Shady practice.

Small restaurant that just opened recently near DT San Carlos. Although they are not located in a highly visible location, they were actually pretty busy when I came in on a Friday night. The service was efficient and friendly and our food came out relatively quickly. Everything was delicious and they even gave us a free seaweed salad at the end of our meal.

My new regular sushi place in San Carlos for those days when sushi is necessary, but Seiya isn’t in the budget. Everything we had was delicious and fresh. Edamame Hamachi carpaccio — huge slices of hamachi; I loved the contrast of the fish, ponzu, and the pepper(jalapeño?) Tekka maki — quite possibly the best I’ve had. Very fresh fish and a little toasted sesame. Delicious. Hamachi and maguro nigiri — fresh, fresh, fresh. Scallop lover — served in a foil boat, hot; loved the mango. A.T. Roll — spicy; probably my favorite of the fancy rolls we had. Sexy Lady — super fresh in the cucumber wrapper. Fire cracker balls — the batter was different from what I’ve had on fried tuna roles in a good way. The restaurant is definitely on the small side, but they seem to do more take out than dine in.

Ordered take out from here. Fresh, fast, and delicious! The only place in San Carlos where we will eat sushi!

Great food at a great price. Conveniently located next to a parking lot, so easy to get in and out. A nice alternative to the pricier options located along Laurel street. Always prefer to do take-out and haven’t had a bad experience yet.

I came here for a quick work lunch on Monday. The inside was tiny(only about 3 – 4 tables inside) but luckily wasn’t cramped as there was only 1 other guy eating in there. I got the green salad as an appetizer. The lettuce was surprisingly crisp and crunchy, and bigger than most salads at other sushi places but there was just a tad too much dressing. There was a pool of it at the bottom of the bowl when I finished. They have a very limited menu, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing because it is a smaller restaurant, but at the same time, there wasn’t anything special on the menu. I think the owners/chefs are Chinese so obviously this sushi joint isn’t exactly authentic, but it’ll do a decent job of fulfilling your sushi cravings if you happen to be in the area. Even though there isn’t anything spectacular, service is quick and the prices are very reasonable(6 pieces of salmon&avocado roll AND6 pieces of tuna&salmon roll for $ 7.99). You can’t even get that with cheap supermarket rolls!

This being a new restaurant I wasn’t sure what to expect. First impression the venue was very VERY small. They have three tables inside, a small bar and two tables outside. The outside seating is on the side of the restaurant and seems a little isolated in an ally like space. There is also a patio for other shops on the roof of the restaurant so if you’re at the outside seating you can have an audience above you… I ordered a chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu combo along with a California roll and Tokyo roll(salmon avocado). The food was alright not bad but not amazing either. Sushi was much better than the cooked items so if you’re getting anything I’d recommend that. I have to say the service here is very good though. Our servers were very attentive and even gave us extra rice and miso soup. They continued to check on us regularly and made sure or drinks were always full. Overall I’d say a 7⁄10 mostly because of the venue but the excellent service makes up for it.

This restaurant just recently opened, and it can be a bit empty during dinner time, but the fish is extremelyyyyyyy fresh. The salmon was so fresh and buttery, it melted in my mouth. The salmon even had that freshly cut oil over gleam the sashimi slices. Ahh, I love that :) U can also tell they keep everything they have extremely clean because of how they wrap their hunks of fish at the bar. Their oysters were extremely good. I’m usually VERY picky with oysters, but the sushi he’d let me try one first and it was divine. I ordered half a dozen after that and will be coming back for more :)

I enjoy trying new places so I decided to come here for dinner on a Friday. I got a dinner bento combo and I felt a bit mislead since I thought the bento included California roll and sashimi since they listed Meats under Choices while those two were above Choices. I wouldn’t recommend ordering the beef. The portion is quite small. The pieces of beef were maybe 1−2cm each and it was average. The teriyaki chicken was a bigger portion but it was also just average. I ordered a Sun Roll and that was pretty good with a blend of real crab and imitation crab and salmon. However the size of the roll is quite small for the price. Although the roll was good, the small portion for the price doesn’t encourage me to return. Ps. This place is next to the parking lot near the residential residence. It’s quite small with about three tables and the bar that seats 5.

Overall, great place for lunch despite its small location :) –I recommend the Sun Roll & Salmon Nigiri –It’s a decent size for groups of 1 – 4 people –Just opened up, so the staff is extremely nice! Our server Brandon especially, was extremely attentive. –They even deliver! –took away a star because it’s fairly small, but still great, especially for lunch
