I have an aftermarket fiberglass bumper on my car; someone rear ended me. None of the 3 shops I initially went to was willing to take on the job of repairing it («its beyond repair»; «our fiberglass guy is no longer with us»). Furthermore, insurance was not willing to pay for an (exact) replacement. I ended up at Automotive Enterprise and Bob and company did an absolutely fantastic job of repairing my bumper! THANK YOU!

I’ve done business with Bob for years. My work truck has a Fibreglass shell that is custom made for my European delivered truck and not available here in the states.
Somewhere in its life someone backed up with the gate open and cracked broke the right side of the gate to the point that when open with the strut it was making the crack worse, Since this is my daily driver and work horse, I needed it done quickly when started and done to a high standard.
I asked Bob about it, he gave me a date to bring it in and assured me he could have it done the same day. When I arrived the helped me take the gate off and after signing a work order I was again assured it would be ready at the end of the day. I received a call that it was ready by late afternoon. I was nowhere near there and planned to pick it up the next morning.
The repair was flawless, they helped me re –install the gate and the final price was as quoted, I handed Bob My Business C/​C and I was in and out of there in under ½ Hr.
Bottom line, Bob know Fibreglass and knows how important it is to get things done in a timely fashion so that other people can get their stuff done as well. If I ever have a need for a custom repair or even a simple fender bender I would not hesitate to haev him do it or refer a friend or family member

Bob at Automotive really took care of me. A couple of weeks ago my son’s car was vandalized while he was in school. Someone keyed a message of hate it the hood. The police are investigating, but since the car is older we don’t have comprehensive insurance and we really needed the hood fixed and didn’t have the money to spend. I brought him the car Friday evening an by Saturday afternoon I had the car back and it was fantastic! He had managed to buff the hood out so well that you couldn’t read the words any more. It was a huge relief and he didn’t charge me very much. If they ever catch the people that did this, I will take the car back and have the full repair, including the door that was kicked in. In the meanwhile, my son has a car to drive that doesn’t have a constant reminder that there are hateful people in this world. Thank you so much Bob and everyone at Automotive!

The reviews for Automotive Enterprises caused me to call them first to obtain a quote for some minor body work on my new 2015 Z51 Corvette Stingray. Bob Walschmidt, who heads the firm, is very knowledgable about exotic cars and gave me a very fair quote, within a few hundred from another shop in Sonoma. The work his team did was outstanding! Perfectly matching the new shark gray color. If you want a fair price and superior workmanship I highly recommend them. They are pleasant to work with, very professional and provide excellent follow-​up as the work progresses.

I was referred to Bob at Auto Enterprise by a nearby audio company that’s done some work for me in the past — I need guidance on paint options for a 1975 BMW that I use as my daily driver. The car was near perfect already but had a handful of noticeable blemishes that drove me crazy as I got further along w/​restoration efforts.
I’d spoken w/​a handful of other shops about touch-​up, blending, painting specific panels — nobody wanted the work. «Too difficult, time consuming, not worth it,» were answers I received. Matching a 40-​yr old single-​stage paint is virtually impossible. I’ve purchased dealer touch-​up kits and had shops try to mix something up. Both experiences left my prized possession looking not-​so-​hot.
Bob’s an enthusiast — he knows cars and understands the value and significance of preserving a vintage car’s original paint. I met w/​him 2 – 3 times to review the work. He spent considerable time walking me through the process and assured me that I’d be happy w/​the final product. I promised I’d write a killer Unilocal review if he held up his end of the bargain. And now here we are…
I made it very clear that budget and quality were my priorities. My hope was to walk away w/​an end product that I felt exceeded my expectations but didn’t break the bank. Bob tackled a handful of things beyond touch-​up and I’m happy w/​all.
People say I’m impossible to please — and in most cases that’s true. But not here — Bob and his guys did what others couldn’t, wouldn’t, and probably shouldn’t do. Quality work and top notch customer service.

Robert and his very specialized staff are incredible! They completely restored my daughter’s 67 VW Bug into a new car from inside out. I am really thrilled and very satisfied with this shops work. Nothing goes out of that shop imperfect, they do everything to perfection! I love that!

Bob is a very nice guy, no doubt. However, my wife was very disappointed with the work on her car. Our car was keyed and we asked Bob to make it better. Well, for $ 250, it does not look much better. In fact the hood looks a little worse, with very small, tiny chips in the paint. His ‘credit card machine was broken”. I guess he wants just a check or cash. I had my Mazda Miata fixed at Coastal auto body, and was very happy. I thought these shops were one in the same, but they are not. Apparently Coastal Auto Body is no longer in business. They are just located next to each other. Buyer beware.
Bob could have made it better by giving me a refund or partial refund for the unsatisfactory work. I am sure Bob does excellent work on Corvettes. It is just that my car is not a Corvette. In the final analysis, I should have had a detail shop try to buff out the key scratches for $ 100. And then buy some touch up paint from the car dealer of my car for $ 8.00, and just touch up the scratches.
Live and learn.
Bob seems like a good, and decent man. Surely, he has been doing something right to be in business for so many years. However, he dropped the ball on this one.

I have gone to Bob twice, both with smallish problems with side view mirror damage and a couple of big scratches and one dent in my older car. He and his crew are terrific and he is not snobby about fixing small damage, they do a good job and charge a very reasonable price. Both times I’ve thought I just wouldn’t go elsewhere… ever. Excellent job with no «drama» and ready on time.

When my 2007 Chevy HHR was rear ended, my husband told me to come here. His father has been using Automotive Enterprise to keep his car in good shape for years. Since my father-​in-​law is a salesman and spends most of his time on the road yet his car still looks well taken care of, I followed my husband’s advice. I’m glad I did! The car that hit me dented the hatchback, damaged the bumper and pushed the exhaust into the gas tank (melting a hole in the tank). I brought the car in on a Saturday and Bob was able to quickly set me up with a rental. From the moment I dropped the car off, I didn’t have to worry about the repair. They spoke with the insurance companies involved and I was only contacted for verification and for them to tell me how it was going. When I got my car back, I was thrilled. I don’t think the car has looked that good sinc the day I bought it. I can’t even tell it was hit anymore! Thank you to Bob and all of the guys who worked on my car. Great job!

The owner, Bob, was a nice guy, but I was completely dissatisfied with the work they performed.
A 16 year old kid bumped into my brand new car when I was stopped at a traffic light, leaving a few scratches and a screw mark on my bumper, and Bob assured me he could buff this out and apply touch up paint so it’d look like brand new unless someone looked very closely.
For ~$ 300 to the mom of the poor kid that hit me, my car now looks like it’s been painted with white nail polish by a child. The indentation from the screw is still clearly visible from a distance, and the dots of touch up paint really look like drops of nail polish.
After I expressed my dissatisfaction, he said that if I could bring it back for another hour, they’d polish it up some more. Who knows why they didn’t do that in the first place…
He had talked me down from the full bumper replacement recommended by another shop — which I agree was excessive for the very minor damage — but I should have been concerned when he used the logic that «he couldn’t match the manufacturer’s quality» to convince me to just go with sanding, buffing, and touch up paint rather than replacing the whole bumper.
Next time I’m filing a claim with insurance and going with a better shop.
He gets one star for lining up a decent rental car smoothly.

If you have to get your Corvette or ANY other car repaired, you need to come here! They challenged me to find which quarter panel was actually repaired and being a «car» guy, I couldn’t see any difference. If you care about how your car is brought back to factory specifications, you need to come here. Bob has been in the business for many decades and will come to bat for you. I appreciate his candor and professional demeanor.
If you need expert repair and great customer service you have to come and see Bob!
BTW. Bin’s review is bogus and per Unilocal’s guidelines, not relevant. Junk email that he has received has nothing to do with repairing/​restoring a car’s appearance.

In response to Bin — really, if you can’t recognize this type of email, then you’ve not been on the web very long. Apparently, someone got a hold of AE’s email and hacked it, then sent out a bogus email under that email address. The business itself is reputable (I’ve done business with them) and they wouldn’t send out junk.
The most considerate thing to do – and I will do this — is tell the business owner that their email was stolen and they’ll fix it.
But, even the best emails can be hacked and it doesn’t reflect on the person or business.
Automotive Enterprise does great work. My car is going in today and I’m confident they’ll take good care of her.

i had a little mishap in my beloved z06 and found this shop on Unilocal.a glowing review by a guy who said that he was a picky type caught my eye– sounds good. i brought my baby to bob and his family, and i could not be happier. bob worked with my insurance company, and his son repaired my car. i am very particular, and i have to say that the quality of work is top notch. the body work is good, lines are straight. my car is silver and the paint match is very good. the only complaint i have is that it took a little while, but as they say– nothing good comes fast!
these guys take pride in their work and it shows. the best repair experience i have had. ever!

I went to Automotive Enterprises auto body shop upon referral from a very dear, and sharp friend. It’s important to only take referrals from the smart ones! :) My poor Honda was in dire need of an auto body shop when I got into an accident and bent up my hood, thrashed my bumper, the AC & radiatior were ruined and my fenders were wasted – basically the whole front-​end looked like hell; and it was fairly new, so you could imagine how I felt! ;(From the beginning, Robert Waldschmidt, the owner, was extremely professional & curteous. I prefaced my conversation with him, indicating the fact that I have lousey insurance, but he said he had experience with them, and has sucessfully negotiated with them. Well, he really came thru with that, as my car looks brand new! When I arrived at his auto body shop (my body shop repair was completed on time), I honestly did not recognize my car! I said, «Is that my car?!» Now I feel like I’m driving around in a new car again. You know that excited feeling you have when you buy a new car? Well, it’s back! :)
On top of everything else, Robert also has such a kind, caring personality, and this really shines thru as he truly cares about his customers. He is genuinely focused on quality and quality customer service.

I have had two corvettes, the first of which I raced in stock class auto cross and amature road races so it was driven hard and suffered a lot of damage. Automotive Enterprise took care of the routine as well as the non-​routine damage to that vechicle in a consistantly professional manner and was always able to meet my varied scheduleing and financial issues. For my second corvette, their service continues to be outstanding and their work remains top-​notch

If you want to see some real classics and exotics drive by this spiffy, expensive-​looking shop. I’ve not had any work done here – my cars are too rough and tumble to be worthy – but I often see original Cobra’s, classic Vettes including my all time favorite 1962 model, and souped up rockets of every kind here getting work done. They seem to specialize in high end body work and I’ve also seen some nicely done aero mods on a brand new Volvo V50 which is my latest favorite candidate for My Next Car.
