Specialties
As a professional organizer, I provide a calm, non-judgemental presence to help you beat back overwhelming clutter and daunting tasks with hands-on organizing help. I am a specialist in chronic disorganization, hoarding and ADD with certificates from the Institute for Challenging Disorganization. My sessions with you are completely confidential and I adhere to the code of ethics of my professional organization, the National Association of Professional Organizers.
By assessing your particular needs and individual working style, I create solutions that integrate smoothly into your life and enhance your natural organizing inclinations, along with time management and maintenance skills. If your organizing needs include installation of wall hung accessories, storage and closets I come with my tools and complete the job. No need to call a handyman when you have Handymanda.
History
Established in 1995.
I launched my business after leaving a career as a graphic artist because I wanted to work with three dimensional design rather than spend my days at the computer. I discovered I had a gift for working with clients who have a diverse range of learning styles and thinking patterns, including ADD. I continue to be fascinated by how people manifest their lives in terms of their personal space and their things.
I combine my concern for the environmental with my organizing business by emphasizing the repurposing of available supplies clients may already have on hand and keep a list of organizations in need of unwanted items and am an expert in recycling.
After completing a certificate in construction technology I used this knowledge to design closet systems using reclaimed materials, such as hollow core doors, that would otherwise be discarded. I also offer my clients my services hanging artwork, building flat pack furniture and performing minor home repairs
