Stopped in today to just take a look around for some supplements to go with cycling. I was there early on a Thursday morning, so no one else was around. Steve was there and had a couple calls, which he asked to call back because he had customers.
I took this to mean I was about to get the hard sell, which I was not looking for. He asked if I was looking for anything, I said just browsing, and he let me be.
Eventually I asked for what I was looking for (beta alanine), and Steve ended up giving me a bunch of advice and info on products he had for that, and endurance sports in general. He was giving out info, and not being pushy at all.
Finally I decided to buy the thing he was suggesting, and he actually stopped me and asked if I wanted to try a demo amount instead. If I’m happy with it, come back. Why wouldn’t I want to do that?
So overall I had a great experience there. I will admit in retrospect it’s somewhat ironic for a guy running a legal supplement store to give the first one free, but I hope to go back and feel good giving him my business.

Thank you for the great customer service! My husband and I shop here regularly. I showed their Max Muscle Prenatal Complete ingredients to my doctor and he said they were the best he had seen. I take a vegetarian Omega 3−6−9, which was hard to find in other stores. I also regularly purchase PlantFusion protein powder, which is a vegan/​non-​dairy/​non-​soy, organic, and unflavored powder. I love their products and the friendly service!

Went in for my first time today! Met the owner Steve, very nice and approachable guy. I was looking for Whey Protein, so Steve guided me to the proper section. He also answered a few of my questions before he let me continue shopping. I decided to try the Max Pro Advanced Muti Source Protein…30g protein per serving and great taste. Best part was saving 10% signing up for the FREE membership (no plastic card along with it). Steve also gave me a free shaker cup. Highly recommend checking this place out if you need pre workout, whey protein, rice protein, vitamin supplements, etc.

So glad I found this place. I have been looking for Muscle Egg for some time now. They also sell quest bars which are my fav! The owner Steve is very knowledgable; he isn’t in the business just to make money, but to educate you on what may be best to assist you towards your goals. He also gives samples of Muscle Max products; this is awesome because you get to try before you buy.
He offers military, police, and firefighter discount.

I was referred to Max Muscle because I had signed up for a bootcamp challenge that I wasn’t having much success with. I popped in reluctantly and spoke with Steve. He spent so much time with me going over my weekly food and exercise logs, gathering my knowledge of nutrition (or lack of) and was extremely patient. The amount of expertise he has is outstanding. I stopped by twice a week for two weeks to check in and give him progress reports (he was truly interested and supportive). I successfully made my goal and won the challenge. I still go back for supplement adjustments and to get help from Steve so I can stay on track. My new favorite place! He also never tries to over sell and is trustworthy.

Look… customer service and honesty is very much alive and well in Steve’s capable hands. He has become a trusted advisor and valuable resource for myself and my entire family.

I would like to say that I’ve been to this place a handful of times and have had several phone conversations with the owner Steve. The level of service that I have received every single time has far surpassed any other nutritional supply store I’ve been too as well as other non related establishments. Steve has always given me as much time as needed to educate and offer advice towards my supplement choices and goals with exercise. At times knowing that I wasn’t even going to purchase anything he still patiently provided superior customer satisfaction. I highly recommend going to see Steve as he will help assist you with your directions of fitness.

I honestly can’t even fathom how much of a good time I had at max muscle! I went in and was greeted by Steve who was such a sweetheart and really showed me what I needed for my workouts. He recommended new and old products and answered all my questions with no hesitation! Definitely coming back! Thanks Steve!

My husband, Sean, and I have been seeing Will Max, the nutritionist who works out of Max Muscle, for nearly two months now. I feel like Will has armed both of us with a knowledge of our own bodies that we weren’t aware we could possess, since neither of us is a nutritionist ourselves.
But after getting used to his plan, I started to notice things. Not only did I start losing weight, but I felt so much better. No more phantom stomach cramps (something I was used to), bloating, or generally feeling rundown. After a couple of weeks, I basically stopped thinking about my stomach altogether.
And while the timing and structure is challenging to get down in the beginning, just like any new routine, it becomes natural soon enough. The best (and arguably worst) thing about Will’s plan is that it is self-​sustainable: he doesn’t have to rely on you to admit when you cheated, because he can tell; not only from his weekly evaluation, but also from your report on how you feel.
You’ll find yourself complaining to him about how bad you felt after eating a Lifesavers mint (okay, maybe that was just me), and he’ll tell you that’s because those things are all synthetic, and your body no longer knows how to process that stuff. Point taken. Anyway, check him out; he’ll help you reach your goals sooner than you think, and he’ll teach you a whole lot about food and your body along the way.

Based on the positive Unilocal reviews, I visited Max Muscle for the first time today and was not disappointed. As so many people note, Steve is a really nice guy and super helpful. I got a crash course on protein supplements, very helpful advice for what to take prior to working out, and some great tips on stamina for muscle building workouts.
Steve is not at all pushy and takes the time to provide very thoughtful answers to questions. He also offered to let me sample some protein supplements before buying them to make sure I would be ok with the taste.
I walked out the store feeling very enlightened and armed with a good protein supplement. I’ll be back.

I noticed Unilocal somehow filtered out my first review, so I wanted to throw another one up because I think people should know about Max Muscle in San Carlos. Steve is awesome and he keeps the store well stocked. Steve isn’t just throwing products at people. Steve knows about each and every product in his store and he will take the time to listen to your needs and your exercise habits to help you choose the best supplements to get you to the next level. Steve wants people to be healthy and he puts his customers first.

Muscle Max is our go to place for supplements and protein powder. The owner Steve is so accommodating, very knowledgeable, and friendly. There is never any pressure to buy, just a lot of great information, and good pricing.

GNC has nothing on this place. The manager Steve knows his stuff. He won’t try to sell you anything you don’t need. He’ll find the right protein and supplement for your workout and diet.
The Max Muscle brand is a bit more expensive than the other protein brands, but I noticed a big difference within the first week on their powder. It’s definitely worth the few extra dollars.

No pressure, pleasant as can be; went out of his way to custom order me the hotly sought after Garcinia Cambogia that Doctor Oz suggested to boost metabolism and promote weight loss. I ordered it on Monday at 3:00 PM and I got a call at 4:45 PM Tuesday to pick it up!!! Also got some protein supplements and a wonderful liquid multivitamin to round out the perfect day for me. Do NOT pass up a wonderful retail and healthy-​fabulous experience!

Steve has been a great help. He knows the products, he knows his customers and he knows how to serve them. I was looking all over for a product and Steve was behind his desk and said «here, have it. I hope you come back.» Sure enough, I will be.

Yes, I’m well aware Max Muscle is a franchise, but I still felt the need to tell you more. Every time I’ve come in here, they always have whatever it is I’m looking for and if it wasn’t available, they would order it. The owner is super nice and very, very accommodating.

I remember when I started shopping here. I used only MRI products, which Steve (the owner) didn’t supply. Steve didn’t try and sell me on his stuff, or push me somewhere I didn’t want to go. He simply just ordered my stuff, and gave me a better seal than on body building! Steve ended up getting me on Max Muscle products through the many free samples, stuff is high quality! Steve is an honest business man and he won’t sell you krap that is going to kill you, he will get you what you need and will be open and honest on what it does.
I would also like to add that Steve is a supporter of veterans and military personal as he offers great incentives for them. Overall there is nothing that this place can improve on. 5 Stars, nothing less.

Steve, the owner is an all around good dude! I stopped by one day to purchase a pre-​workout supplement. After talking for about 20 minutes we found one to my liking wich was a product called Full Blown Extreme. After using it for less than a week i noticed i was having issues with the product due to a condition of mine. I brought it back a week later and Steve gave me a full store credit and suggested other products. I felt very satisfied with his customer service.
The one thing that i noticed is that he likes to push Max Muscle products opposed
to other brands. I would have to say he is very knowledgable in the Health Science department. Personally, the MM products i have tried just dont work as well for me. If you really want he will order whatever product that you seek. Overall i am completely satisfied with the way i was treated in his store and will be back in the future as long as he can order my Jack3d!!! (which i have been having no issues with).
