Thrasher’s

I have been using Thrashers in San Carlos for about 25 years. The selection of frames is wonderful and the workmanship is Aplus. I have had probably about 20 prints and paintings framed there. Ron is the best when it comes to the right framing for the art work. My daughter is a fan of Ron’s irk also. We drop in occasionally just to say hello!

Ron the owner does amazing work with high end finish!
His quality of work is impeccable .
He guided me in choosing the perfect frame and color of mats for my art pieces.
He has moved so best to look at his web sight.
And can’t say enough on his dog ginger! She will greet you and not want you to to go

Only place I trust for framing. They have an eye for what frame /​matting will match the art and a huge selection.

These guys are hands down the best place to get custom-​framing and ready-​made frames. Their quality of frames rivals those carried by professional photography studios in the area — they carried the same bands as a nearby high-​end Burlingame photography studio. They will even special order you ones of different sizes … the frames I have in my house that are from Thrasher’s are always keepsakes … As for custom-​framing, they take extreme care with your photographs and have extreme attention to detail, which I really appreciated. Very friendly and personable staff. A bit pricey.

I went to Thrasher’s after reading the reviews on Unilocal and I was more than impressed by their knowledge, quality of work, and, above all, customer service. I don’t think I’ve received this kind of service anywhere before.
We wanted to frame a very special painting that my husband gave me for my birthday. We both had different ideas on what frames to select and kept changing our minds on what frame we wanted. The owners worked patiently with us, offering great suggestions and spending an amazing amount of time, until we were completely satisfied. The quality was outstanding and we love the results.
I’ll go back to Thrasher’s for any other framing work.

Artwork around my house is really important to me. Whenever I go to someone’s house and they have nothing on their walls and few books on shelves, I really question their intelligence.
I’ve gone to Thrasher’s over the years for really important photos and lithographs. They were always very helpful and gave creative solutions to bring out the best of what I brought in.
Each time, though, I would then proceed to be outraged at how ridiculously expensive it was and vow to go to Cheapo Frames R Us. After going to such a place, I would then regret my errant ways and go back to Thrashers next time around. A vicious cycle.
Next in my cycle is a trip back to Thrashers to get my baby’s body parts photo collage framed. I am sure I will not be disappointed in the quality — just outraged at the cost.

I returned from a vacation with an enormous painted canvas. Ron Thrasher met with me and agreed to stretch the oversize piece of art over a wooden frame and did a fantastic job at a fair price. Since the finished piece was too large for my car, he offered to drive it to my home at no additional cost. I really appreciated his excellent customer service and plan to visit his shop again for all of my future framing needs.
