David Berenda started in the Window Fashion Industry 30 years ago with Skandia, then the National Western Sales Manager for HunterDoulgas with decades of direct blind & shade product experience. Adele Berenda studied Design, Fine Arts, Marketing graduating with double BA’s and ran her own successful Interior Design firm with a who’s who client list.

Adele and David, formed A Better Blind & Drapery in 1998, offering clients over 60 years of combined industry knowledge and experience. Our enduring success comes from truly caring for our clients happiness, honoring your budget and producing quality in an age when it has almost been lost.

Adele has a BA in Design, with 28 years experience and ran her own successful Interior Design firm. I contacted Better Blind & Drapery to install new draperies in my bedroom. The results were absolutely spectacular! Sandy came to help me select the style, color, materials, and details. She suggested a canopy that covered a drab bare space above the window, which provided an elegant frame for the drapery. I also consulted with Sandy in making a canopy for the antique bed. She suggested a complimentary colored material on the interior and the overall material matched the drapery. Adam then came to measure. He was quick and precise. The draperies came back with the patterns on each side matching perfectly, so that when closed the draperies looked like one smooth pattern. The bed canopy also fit perfectly. Every pleat was smooth without any pucker. The result was simply elegant. In a time when craftsmanship has all but disappeared, the Better Blind & Drapery provides service, style, and perfection.

Our first home, on a tight budget and wanted nice window coverings… never thought it would happen. We started with Lowes and Home Depot. Typical basic stuff and boring products. I looked at «A Better Blind & Drapery» photos with little hope but called to schedule a consultation. Both the owners David and Adele showed up at the scheduled time. They were professional, neat, organized and thoroughly discussed our window covering needs, including my desire for something special. They showed us samples of quality products that would look great with my décor. They created several quotes built around our budget too. BINGO! David installed the products himself and made sure everything functioned perfectly. I can’t believe my stunning new window coverings cost less than the box stores!
