ACT I Carpet & Tile Cleaning

Frank and Lori did a great job cleaning my carpets and tile at a very reasonable price. They are both very nice, and explained everything they would be doing. I would recommended their services.

Act 1 came out this morning and did an amazing job on some very soiled carpet and upholstery. He was on time, polite, not at all intrusive and I quickly felt comfortable having him in my home. I have a pet and needed some extra services to deal with that, I will definitely call this company again for tile and other carpets. Will recommend Act 1 to my friends.

Frank & Miguel steam cleaned our couches, chairs & area rugs for half the price of another (somewhat rediculous) quote that I received, and I was very happy with the service! We have two small children & two large dogs, all of whom refuse to stay off the furniture, so we literally had a sticky, hairy situation occurring in our living room! ACT 1 was punctual, personal & professional. Would definitely recommend.

I highly recommend ACT 1. I used them for my 2 bedroom rental property and they did a great job. There was a two man crew, so they were quick and efficient. The owner was really nice and gave me some tips on cleaning carpet stains. He’s a local SC guy, and I love to promote our small businesses whenever possible!

Act 1 came and cleaned my travertine floor. It was very dirty and had tape residue where the former owners had run some cable. When Frank and his assistant finished the floor was beautiful! No more tape residue and the floors looked fantastic! He even came early to accommodate my schedule.

Today was the second time I used Act 1 Carpeting Cleaning Company and I must tell you it doesn’t get any better than this company! Frank Called prior to arriving and he arrived promptly at noon as promised. He and his partner cleaned our entire house. Our white carpet looks as good as new! My Travertine tile looks better than the day I moved in 10 years ago. Frank and his partner worked 6 hours on my floors. They literally scrubbed my floors on their hands and knees! I can’t tell you how happy we are with the quality of the work that was done. THANK YOU FRANK for a job well done. Its so refreshing to actually get what you pay for!!! I love my floors again :)

My husband and I had scheduled to have our carpets cleaned (by a different company) on Sunday between 3 – 5 and at 2:30 they called and canceled on us for no reason! NEVER USE PRO CLEANERS IN RSM!!! In a panic (because our house was in escrow) I called around to see if anyone could service my house ASAP. When I called ACT I CARPET & TILE CLEANING Frank answered and was so helpful! Frank stopped everything he was doing on a Sunday afternoon to come out to Rancho Santa Margarita and service our home at 6:00 pm. Great customer service!!! I wasn’t even charged an emergency fee. The house was done within a few hours and it looked amazing! I would and will recommend ACT I CARPET & TILE CLEANING to everyone.

7÷22÷12: Persistent getting in the door, w/​«a deal» on sealing some grout. Frank told me it would be a 5 to 6-​hour job & almost $ 600 (for a 3 bed condo, which is all tile, EXCEPT for bedrooms). I called ACT1 because a flyer was left on my desk; I thought it was left by my housekeeper, who’d said the tile/​grout needed cleaning.
Anyway, Frank & his partner began upstairs and appeared to be cleaning it (2 small bathrooms & a hall) for 2 hours. As they began cleaning their way down the stairs to do the all-​tile bottom floor, I left. When I returned in 90 minutes (over an hour earlier than I’d intended), they were packing up their van to split. 90 minutes to clean approx. 1,000 sq. ft. & seal ½ that?! When all of the tile dried (even upstairs), it looked no different than $ 600 prior. My husband noticed no change either, and then when our our housekeeper came, I told her that we had the tile professionally cleaned. Her eyes bugged out! «By who?!» she screeched. I told her. Her reply:“No, oh no, oh no, no, no!!” and «I’m sorry… you wasted your money… this is not clean!!!» When she asked how much I paid, and I told her, she looked at me as if I was the village idiot.
Then, she sprayed Simple Green on grout in an out-​of-​the-​way area upstairs and wiped it clean with a white towel, which came out filthy. And the grout underneath looked cleaner than in years. She said, «You should have asked them to see the towels they used to wipe up the dirt… did you see them [the towels]?» Nope. I didn’t see one towel. She kept saying «They took your money, they took your money…»
I’ve written Frank/​ACT1 since they were here and I haven’t received a response. Two laborers here for 3 hours. $ 600. Why would they not try to explain why they took the money and ran?
I concluded that ACT1’s flyer was front porch junkmail that missed the trashcan, and either my family thought I might want it. An expensive mistake. My bad.
12÷12÷13: UPDATE, long overdue and almost forgotten. On 6÷9÷13, I received the following email from ACT I: «Will you please consider removing your bad Unilocal review. About a year sentence seems to have been enough punishment. We would really appreciate it.»
I replied: «Your company never offered me a remedy. I did not get what I paid for…
It was not a punitive review towards your company, rather, my intention was to help others avoid being ripped off, disappointed, and frustrated, as I have been.»
AND FINALLY, THE BEST ACT I EMAIL OF ALL:
6÷10÷13− «The Good Lord continues to grow and prosper us. It has been our biggest year yet. There will always be a bad review regardless of a business’s full intent is to do well all the time like we do.
Majority of our business is from personal experience referrals, We will continue to thrive regardless of one bad review. Online Unilocal shoppers are not usually the most solid shoppers anyways… so I hope we both can find peace and joy in our hearts so that things like this are very small in comparison to big life issues. So I have learned a good lesson to not take Unilocalers opinions as always valid and be sure to reconsider that the customer may be issue not the business. So I will put this review to rest.»

Frank did an excellent job removing red wine stains and ground in dirt from my carpeting, at a very reasonable rate. The carpet dried quickly thanks to the steam cleaning method — walkable within the hour. Would highly recommend.
