A great alternative to a typical evening out, Canvas, Paint and Wine, Oh My brings you step-​by-​step painting classes. This is perfect for anyone, even those with no artistic ability, because it is taught step-​by-​step.

Included in one evening are all painting materials; acrylic paint, 16 by 20 inch canvas, brushes, apron, and step-​by-​step instruction and demonstration.

Classes are held on Thursday, and Saturday evenings in San Clemente.

Canvas, Paint and Wine, Oh My! is also available for private events. Options for private events include a private session at the San Clemente studio or at a location of your choice. 10 person minimum for private events.

Hi, My name is Sarah and I’m the owner and instructor of Canvas, Paint and Wine, Oh My! I’ve been teaching step-​by-​step painting classes since 2011 and I love it!

I create and teach my own paintings. I believe learning from the artist who created the work is so rewarding and exciting and I want everyone to have that experience.

I like to teach in a relaxing and fun environment. I always make it my priority for everyone to enjoy themselves, while truely learning how to paint. I break a painting down and demonstrate step-​by-​step so anyone can follow along.

I booked a class for my girlfriend and myself for Valentines Day and we had a phenomenal time! Sarah is a great teacher and makes the class interactive and fun. She goes at a really good pace, and even as a beginner with zero art skills, I was happy with how my painting turned out. Overall, I would highly recommend taking a class with Sarah! Just make sure you plan ahead for parking!

My friends and I had such a great time on a Saturday night, celebrating a friend’s birthday. What a great event for a girls night out !! Sarah, the owner and instructor was very sweet, kind and guided us through the painting step by step. I highly recommend this setting as it’s in a painting studio vs. a restaurant and a very quaint environment. My friend said it was one the best birthdays she had and, of course, we all were so proud of our paintings (the wine helped too!). I would do again, hands down, at Canvas, Paint and Wine, Oh My !!

Super fun place for a girls night! My sisters and I took our mom here for a belated mother’s day gift. We ordered a few bottles of wine that were waiting for us when we got there. I am not very talented when it comes to painting but Sarah made it easy to follow along and encouraged us to be creative with our colors. Definitely recommend this place for a fun night out.

So much fun!!! Took my best friend to a class for her bday and a «girls night out». By far one of the most fun things we have ever done. Good music, wine and appetizers! The instructor was so sweet and patient and helped with the art challenged! Would definitely do again!

We had so much fun here! My boyfriends mom had been before a few months ago and told us that this would be so fun for us to do so we said sure! She organized it all.
It is in a cute little hidden store in San Clemente and the set up was adorable! All the tables had candles on them, wine glasses, appetizers, your canvas, and all tools you needed! Sarah was a great instructor and we all had so much fun! I definitely want to come back and paint something new!

Great evening with Sarah. Our class of 6 all really enjoyed it. We brought a bottle of wine to enjoy — or there is a liquor store across the street if you forget! All supplies were provided and it was very easy to follow along. Sarah is a great hostess and teacher. No one felt inadequate and all the paintings were presentable at the end. She also does classes in Huntington Beach. Look at her online calendar, pick the painting you want to try, and sign up! Highly recommend to anyone.

I hosted a private event here this week for 9 of my clients and we had a wonderful time. Sarah was super accommodating helping me plan the event, pick the painting and had everything all ready to go when we got there. She gave a very detailed but easy to follow lesson that moved along nicely considering all of us were kinda goofing off and drinking wine while we painted. The studio is super cute and cozy and the finished product was surprisingly good– I was worried it would look like a 2 year old did it but it looks good thanks to the instruction! I would definitely recommend for anybody looking to do something different for a date night, or a private event with friends. It is a great way to spend an evening, being creative and relaxing in this awesome studio!

I checked out this new San Clemente location after attending 2 classes at Luggattis in HB. I really prefer the SC location because it’s cozy and has a friendly vibe. Sarah does such a great job with teaching the paintings (they are HER own personal paintings, not a default image like the other companies use — win!)… I’ve done several classes and one private event and I have been happy with all of them. My friends love it too!
The SC location might be a little tricky to find… It’s hidden in the nook near the sushi restaurant, camera store and shoe repair shop. It’s private and cozy… And she has a retail shop coming soon where she will sell her paintings and other art supply goodies. I can’t wait!
And bring your own wine and food to the SC location… I love the cookies at The Cellar across the street… And the sushi next door is good too. It’s a great night out! You will enjoy it!

I had a great time at the Canvas, Paint and Wine. The staff was patient with every student and everyone got attention and encouragement. Everyone walked out with their own painting! I took art classes before, so I didn’t have to many questions. But some of my friends have not painted since high school… yet they were able to follow all the instructions and paint their own «masterpiece.» It was very cute to watch them gain their confidence in their painting skills during the class.
One note I’d like to make is that: the business does have a 4 people per class min policy… so I would recommend calling them the day before your class to make sure it’s not «under-​booked». Or check the calendar on their web-​site for updates and to see if the class is still on.

We tried out the painting class in San Clemente through TravelZoo. My wife and I wanted to do something fun for the evening and this place did not disappoint! The entire class didn’t know each other but we had a great time together.
Can’t say we are the next Frida and Diego but we sure had fun!

I bought a groupon for the San Clemente location. My sister and I went to use it and had a great time. It was a fun 2 – 3 hours of painting, and enjoying a bottle of wine that we brought! Actually it was quite a relaxing evening that we still talk about! Once our schedules can line back up with some extra free time we plan on doing it again. It was a smaller class that we went to, everyone had a fun time; and the instructor was great at helping all of us beginning artists ;-).

My friend and I have been to 3 classes and it was AWESOME! I’ve always wanted to paint and the instruction was fun and easy to follow. I learned a lot. Our instructor was Esther and we really enjoyed it
At the end of the evening we had fantastic artwork we created and i get kinda emotional about that lol.
Pros:

6. All supplies including canvas is provided
Cons:
1. I cant think of any :) Some will complain that the class was canceled but that is based on their policy of having a minimum of 4 people sign up for the class.

I purchased a Groupon for this place and was disappointed in my experience because of cancellations, a no-​show, and wasted time going all the way down to San Clemente. Sarah the owner offered to «make it up to me» but I already wasted enough time to even try to go back again.
