Frank’s Auto Collision

Very irritated with this shop. I barely scraped a car, the damage was extremely minor. Mercury sent the woman who was making the claim to this shop (I also have Mercury) the cost was low for repair, but they kept her car for 10 days and the cost of her rental was $ 432…that pushed the insurance claim over $ 1000. Now my insurance has gone up an extra $ 1000 per year. Utterly ridiculous. Feels like they are in cahoots with Mercury.

The work done on my car was satisfactory. However, the vehicle was promised on a Thursday and delivered on Monday night without notification. I incurred increased rental car expenses and was inconvenienced. Phone calls went unreturned and I initiated all contact. The support staff was unhelpful. Frank’s appeared overwhelmed, unprofessional and disorganized.

Best repair shop I’ve been to. I refuse to go anywhere else.
I grew up in San Clemente and trusted Jeremy & the rest of Frank’s Auto Collision team to take great care in any type of repair to my vehicles. I’ve moved about an hour north now & I still go out of my way to have my cars checked out at Franks.
A main reason: I was in an accident 2 years ago late at night & had my car towed to a repair shop in Fountain Valley close to where my car was hit. Due to their crap service it took 3 months to fix my car & they put in second hand parts & cause several issues to my vehicle that I still deal with now because of their poor work.
Jeremy has never let me down. The car is taken care of quickly, the repairs flawless & it feels like the car is new again. They’re an honest and hard working spot. I can’t really say enough good things about them. Trust them with your car and you won’t regret it.

This place is legit. I took my 2012 Subaru STi into this place to get my left rear door replaced because someone backed into my car when I was eating my burger peacefully at in n out.
They quoted me a great price; and stuck with the original quote after they finished the job.
I am very satisfied with the way they handled their customer service as well. Every other day I was getting a call from Justin and he would update me on the status of my vehicle. Bottom line, if you want quality repair work done with quality customer service to back it up then go here…
Also if you have Mercury insurance tell them you want it repaired here as Mercury and Franks Auto Body have a partnership.

Received a $ 2800 estimate and went to another repair shop for additional estimate. Got my car repaired for $ 500 at another more respectable and honest auto repair shop.

We took our car here because Mercury insurance sent us here after an accident. We brought it in on ⁸⁄₅. They gave us am estimated date of ⁸⁄₂₁ to have the car fixed. I called a couple of days later and found out their computer to fix the frame was broken and they didn’t know when it was going to be fixed or when they would start to repair it. Soon after I was told the car wouldn’t be done until ⁹⁄₄. At the beginning of that week I called to check in and was told that one of their mechanics had walked out and now the repair date got moved back to ⁹⁄₁₁. I had to keep calling and pressuring them to get it done. They told us we could pick it up at 5:30 pm on ⁹⁄₁₁. We got it, drove it home, and the air conditioning doesn’t work… it blows out hot air and makes an awful sound. Utterly ridiculous.
My husband brought his car here 5 years prior and had a very similar experience with repair dates constantly being pushed back. I will not be going back to this shop again.

We wanted to do business here and support the locals, but they treated us poorly.
Frank’s quote for collision repair was 25% higher than other shops here in San Clemente. Frank’s demanded a cash fee upfront to perform the estimate, then claimed they never collected the fee when we said their quote was too high/​not competitive with two other quotes we got. Frank’s told us the other quotes were «no good». Frank’s was wrong and they lost our business.
We took the car across town to San Clemente Auto Collision. They gave us a free estimate, were 25% cheaper, completed the repair on schedule in one week and did a fantastic job– the car looks factory perfect.

Excellent customer service and the quality of the body work on our car was impeccable.

Frank’s is awesome. Hands down, the best experience I have ever had with a collision repair shop. Their customer service is top notch, and every one of the technicians I spoke with was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend them.

Awesome place– Loved getting my truck back looking new again. Jeremy helped me with everything. And made it easy to drop off and get rental car. I was even able to get windows tinted and a good deal. Thank you!

It is clear that customer satisfaction couldn’t be further from the top of Frank’s Auto Collision’s priority list. I had an appointment to bring my truck in on a Saturday and if you look at their website or listen to their voicemail recording, their hours of operation on Saturday are 8 – 12. I showed up at 8 and waited until 10:15 and no one from Frank’s ever came to open up. Because I could not call anyone I was forced to take my truck and drive home.
I called the next week to reschedule and spoke with Sheri/​Cheri (spelling?) at the front desk. I explained to her what happened and told her I wanted to reschedule as well as figure out what Frank’s wanted to do in order to rectify the situation. She told me she had no idea what they could do and began getting extremely defensive. I told her I would like them to take money off the total cost and she immediately snapped and told me that wasn’t possible. According to Sheri it wasn’t their fault my appointment was dropped as the gentleman who scheduled the appointment had quit 2 weeks earlier. I explained that the fact that one of their employees quit does not absolve their responsibility to their customers. She told me they couldn’t do anything and that she would have the manager, Jeremy, call me back that day.
I waited until right before they closed and had not received a call so I called back. This time I spoke to a different receptionist who was friendly and wanted to help, but Jeremy had left for the day so I left another message for him to call me first thing the next morning. Next day: no phone call. I called in the afternoon and spoke to Sheri again. She immediately became combative and hostile and told me Jeremy wasn’t in and that he would call me back. At no point did she reassure me nor apologize for the wait. I was completely helpless at this point and felt like there was nothing I could do. Cheri put me on the phone with another gentleman (not Jeremy) in an attempt to appease me (I was getting considerably frustrated talking with Sheri).
The gentleman who I spoke to after was not combative and kept his cool the entire time I explained to him my frustration. However, at no point did he apologize or offer some sort of action to help right the wrong. He told me missed appointments, especially on Saturdays, is business as usual at Frank’s and that they simply reschedule those appointments: an utterly absurd business model! Not only do they give their customers zero warnings about cancellations, they don’t reach out to apologize for or fix the situation. They simply expect the customer to contact and coordinate with them another time to bring in their vehicle. He also assured me Jeremy was aware of the situation and had chosen not to reach out to me. Needless to say, I am taking my business elsewhere. I am not an employee of Frank’s and have no obligation to «work» for them. If customer service is something you value then I highly encourage to you take your vehicle to another establishment.

The team at Franks, especially Curtis, were so helpful in repairing my Ford Focus. Curtis got me a great price on a new bumper and was extremely nice throughout the process. The job was done quick and painless. They even washed it (which I didn’t notice until later that day) so that I would have a clean care to match my brand new bumper! I am so impressed and could not have asked for a better experience.

Franks did an amazing job with my black Cadillac ATS. I was worried at first because its black, a caddi, and the damage was on the body line of the rear passenger door but they made it look like nothing ever happened. You think with a new paint job on one panel and not the others would be noticeable but after polishing the other panels, they made it all look the same and natural. Thank you Franks!

I didn’t have the greatest experience here. I read all the reviews and it seemed people loved them, so after a huge piece of metal hit my brand new car, poked a hole in the bumper and cracked my windshield, I took my car to Frank’s for repair.
Everyone was super nice, I was able to leave my car for a few days and all was good. Well a few days went by and no call from them, so I checked in and they had not gotten all of the parts and hadn’t even started on my car. I was dealing with Justin. I was not happy, but was told Jeremy would give me a call and we would get it all worked out. So 5 days later I was told my car was done. I went to pick it up and the windshield was still cracked, they had not even touched it. Where was the quality control person who looked my car over before they called me. Again I spoke to Jeremy, and he apologized and said he personally would look after my car. So another 3 days without a car and the windshield was finally fixed. Had to go back again, because the windshield was not put in right, so it was a very frustrating experience.
I do have to say, Jeremy is adorable, and he was always apologetic and nice, but I’m not sure I would take my car there again for repairs. :(

Recently we took our van in to have a quote at franks, and even though it was not worth the price of fixing the rust based on the value of the van, Jeremy helped us for fifteen minutes to establish the problematic areas and explained what we could do to give our van more life without breaking the bank.
It was refreshing to get an honest answer from someone. I do not usually right reviews but I had such a great experience that I wanted to share it.

Yes it is me again. My car threw a belt (2002 BMW 330 convert) on the freeway, 9pm Thursday– this sucks. but hey I am here writing a review of my car repair. Got it towed to Franks, at night, they were closed… threw the keys in the door with a note– Belt broke please fix it. Got a call in the morning, the water pump broke and that is what snapped the belt. Got the quote and it was fair (nothing is wal-​mart priced with this car). They said it would be done today (Friday). Guess when they called me to say it was ready? Bet your thinking– auto repair, on a friday, from a note blah blah blah. .THE CAR WAS DONE BY 3 PM annnnnnnnnd they picked my wife up at the house to pick up the car! Now that my friends is da bomb!!! seriously, no one likes a broken car but everyone loves service and Franks is the best. read my other reviews you will see

I am furious. I left my car for a collision repair July 2^nd thru the 12^th and the workers stole both my iPod touch and my headphones out of my car. This problem has yet to be resolved. I am appalled. I would strongly re think your decision to use this company.

Got rear-​ended in a parking lot — thrashed my rear bumper — broken plastic, rubber, broken parking distance sensors, scratched paint, etc… a mess! My insurance company (USAA) works with Frank’s Auto Collision and I also use their auto repair shop (Frank’s Motor Cars) up the street (North) on El Camino Real for my engine work and most other repairs, so I took my car to Frank’s Auto Collision for the body work. The staff was friendly, patient and courteous. And best of all, my car looked brand new when I got it back!
