Love this place. Never ever had anything but a great experience here. April is awesome at nail design. She always surprises me when I have a tough design because it always turns out better than I could imagine. All of the ladies are great here as well. You’ll never get someone mediocre because they are all very experienced and very good at what they do

Lam is absolutely amazing. She was able to fix an absolutely horrible set of acrylics for me. She really cares about her customers and prides herself in her work. She is meticulous and possibly the fastest best acrylics I have ever had. They don’t lift and look natural!
The management is fabulous and really nice. Don’t know how anyone could say something bad about them.
The place is super clean with great massage chairs as well.
So many gel colors to choose from which is great! You can also buy Opi and other polishes there a little cheaper than most places.

I called Friday morning, and they were able to get me in around 2 pm with Nancy. The ladies at the front desk were very professional, but I was less than satisfied with my nails.
I wanted to remove my gel manicure (from another nail salon) and get a regular manicure without polish. The end result was rather sloppy. The surface of my nails were extremely bumpy with leftovers from my gel manicure, and my nails were filed to uneven lengths. Nancy said twice that gel manicures from other salons are difficult to remove so I thought I was stuck with bumpy nails. But I ended up going home and taking a filer and buffing block to my nails and ta-​da! Smooth nails once again!
I was hoping Ocean View would save me the effort, but unfortunately, it was a waste of time and money ($ 20). Nancy was pleasant to chat with, but unfortunately, I was not happy with the end result.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my candy cane nails!!! April is the most amazing nail artist! She showed me a pic of Star Wars nails she did & omg… I couldn’t paint R2-​D2 on my best day, much less on a nail using nail polish! I have gotten so many compliments on my nails & I love the joy they bring to people! I can’t stop smiling when I look at them!

They did a good job I liked my light blue gel nails. But I had really short bitten nails and I had wanted ask if they could maybe extend my nail using gel like what you see other salons do. When I asked the lady doing my nails she said she couldn’t because you could only do that with tips for acrylics and I didn’t like that. A few weeks ago my nails broke and I don’t know if any nail salons in San Clemente can extend my nails like that with gel or something without me getting acrylics, does anybody know where to go?

Wow! Things have changed here and not for the better. Poor customer service from the management. A shame too because the technicians work hard. I just opted out of getting a pedicure today because of unnecessary rudeness on the part of management. I used to really looking forward to coming here. Not anymore. If you’re looking for quality work that lasts for more than 5 days and good customer service, don’t come here. If you do come here don’t expect good service from management staff. This place has gone to the dogs lately. So sad.

The BEST pedicure I’ve ever had. It is so clean and everyone is so professional. Loved it and nails are fabulous too. Love the gels.

My mom, my four year old daughter and I came in for a manicure and pedicure. Three different ages with three different needs. The service was great. They were very gentle and accommodating for my daughter and they have tub liners upon request — which is very important to us. We would definitely come here again

I had a great experience here. The ladies we’re friendly and took their time on my pedicure and my nails. My nails came out really good. It is a little pricey but worth it. I felt so relaxed and pampered there! Just what every girl wants now and then.

Ocean view nails salon had won my expectation for most professional and excellent service. From the manager at the front desk to every staff all deal in a professional manner. Unlike the typical nail salon everyone speaks English to the customers and between them. So, when you are there be assured you won’t find strange foreign words thrown around you between the girls that make you feel awkward. The staff is very nice and know what they’re doing. Wendy did an excellent job on my gel manicure. I did a walk in right when they opened at 10:00 and I was served in 5 minutes. I recommend this place to all my friends

Horrible! Overpriced for such a bad job. If you like thick crooked nails, this is your place! Very unsanitary, not many colors to choose from, and the nail techs don’t pay attention to you. Don’t know how this place stays in business, especially with being so dirty.

Aside from it being kind of hard to get in, I love this place. Friendly, CLEAN and always leave happy!

So far so good! Visited on a few occasions in the past few month. Culdn’t get in this weekend: all booked!
Hun did my gel manicure and it was excellent, lasted forever, until I couldn’t stand the grown out part of a new nail at the base! I just kept adding nail glitter to mask it :). Crafty, ha?

This place is AMAZING. Very clean, friendly staff, and they do an amazing job! I moved to San Clemente in November, and have been endlessly looking for a great nail salon, that does a great job on a full set and that lasts more then a week. And I’ve found that place at Ocean View Nails. I will definitely be going back EVERYTIME. They worked very fast and still managed to give me what I want. I got a full set and a pedicure, and there was no pressure into getting extra services, they asked, but once I declined they never asked again! And I love that! I highly recommend going to Ocean View Nails, they accept walk-​ins, but I would book an appointment when possible so you can request BAO (full set) and JOELENE (pedicure). They are great! One last tip, they only accept CASH for TIPS. I hope yall have a great experience like I did!

I decided to give this place a try during my visit home from Kauai and I was pleasant surprised how well the repaired my broken nails from my last gel set. Bao did an amazing job and repairing and putting on a new gel set. I will definetly be coming back to see him! Such a nice guy too :)

My friend and I picked this place based on Unilocal reviews as a place to meet half way between us for a nail date. The salon is in a large strip mall and when we walked in, I noticed it looked clean, modern and tasteful, plus they had a good color selection of OPI, Essie ad some other brands so we were off to a good start. My friend got the special cranberry mani (w gel)/pedi but I opted for the classic mani/​pedi (plus callus removal). My friend had a good experience and her fingers and toes came out looking great. My pedicure was good and I was very happy with the results but my manicure was subpar. The tech did a horrible job shaping my nails (possibly because of his weird technique that I’ve never seen anyone else use) and when I asked him to fix some super sharp and pointy corners he created he acted like I was being picky. If you’re gonna have attitude, you need to do stellar work and this guy did not live up to the bar. The polish application was sloppy (rivaling what I could have done myself at home) and was chipping off the very next day despite the fact that I took special care and avoided anything destructive line typing, doing dishes, etc. while I would come back, I would refuse this tech in the future. I would tell you his name but he never introduced himself (just walked up, grabbed my hand, and started his subpar work).

I am AMAZED that this place has such good reviews. This is my second time here, it is right next to my work so I thought I’d give it a second shot.
I should first state that I like to communicate and have an experience when I go to a salon.
The product was OK. The nails stayed on and I always get gel so naturally that didn’t chip. The problem is that both girls who did my nails had TERRIBLE personalities. BOTH OF THEM seemed almost irritated that I came in. Which makes sense because the other girls were streaming soap operas and working on art projects.
It’s pretty common now for a girl to get a nail or two in a different color but BOTH girls tried to talk me out of it and stayed it was «too much». Over all they are very lazy. BOTH girls answered there phones and had full conversations and the second girl I saw actually turned her chair entirely around to talk to the girl behind her every time she put my hand in the dryer, it she would walk away.
I told her that the dryer were burning me (from being in do long while she socialized) and she simply brushed it off and obviously made fun of me to the girl behind her.
I simply couldn’t believe it. A shockingly bad experience.

Looks like updating my OVN review is gonna be a yearly thing. I can’t stress how much I love this place. I have lived in San Diego, Orange County, and now LA… but I will always, always go out of my way to come here to get my nails done.
I have relatively recently started only getting gel done. OVN continues to do a fantastically thorough and detailed job, which his ESPECIALLY important with gel. My nails grow very slowly so if I have my gel done well it will easily last a month. If I have it done poorly, it starts to peel back from my cuticles within 2 – 3 weeks. Every time I come here they do a great job and I get a solid month out of my gel. I love it.
I also really appreciate that they have the little UV protection fingerless gloves, too!
I like to make sure I always have an appointment because they do get really busy, but that is obviously to be expected.
My only tiny, tiny gripe is that they don’t have more gel colors! They do have a decent selection but I only like three of them. I went to one salon when I was out of town (in Nebraska) and they had well over 60 different colors to choose from. I think at OVN they have maybe 20 or so? I could be wrong. I’ll check the next time I’m there and update my review again.

This is one of my favorite nail sales. I have gone there multiple times and will continue going. They do such a beautiful, great job. The pedicures last very long (I’ve never had a manicure there).
The prices are reasonable. They are super friendly and the facility is clean.
You have to tip in cash, so remember to bring cash! I always forget and have to run over the bank because I feel too bad not tipping — plus they do a good job.

5 of us came here after Brunch, for a girls day trip up to San Clemente (from SD & LA).
I decided on Ocean View because of the Unilocal reviews… you just never know what you’ll get when you try somewhere new in a completely different city. I filled out their Contact form on the website to get a reservation for all of us to get spa pedicures at the same time (I hate when only a few can be done at a time, leaving others waiting, and making the time spent there incredibly too long) — but they replied right away, and confirmed they’d be able to perform our pedis ALL together, yay!
Even 2 nights before our reservation, I emailed the owner, Glenn, to add on a gel polish change for one of the bday girls — and he made it happen.
We were also able to bring in our own few bottles of Prosecco and plastic stemware (though he did say via email that they had cups as well if we needed them).
Everyone had a great time & really enjoyed their spa pedis — the staff was very nice & super accommodating… would definitely recommend & if I’m ever in the area again & need a good pedi, I know where to go ;-)
