Proderma Acne Clinic

I’ve tried many different acne remedies in the past and none have worked as well as Joy’s treatment system. It isn’t just one cream and you’re out. Joy guides you through a customized 6 – 8 week program. Each week, you come in for extractions (Joy is super gentle — better than any esthetician I’ve been to in the past) and products (she works with a chemist to create them — they work great and smell amazing!). She has a suite of about 20 products and each week, she adjusts your regimen based on how your skin is progressing. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. She also makes herself available between sessions (even via text) if you have any questions about your skin. I’ve never experienced this level of customer service from anywhere before. I noticed a steady progression of clearing, and was completely clear once I «graduated» from her treatment system. Now, I just use a few products to manage my clear skin. I couldn’t be happier with the results and the service. Her assistant, Scarlet, is also very friendly and professional. I always look forward to seeing them both.

Proderma has been a miracle for our son. We went to 4 different dermatologists, tried dozens of expensive prescriptions. Nothing worked! Took my brother to Proderma Acne Clinic after referred by a friend who suffered from serve acne for years. My teenage daughter has been suffering from severe acne for over 1.5 years and after trying all the major over-​the-​counter products and restricting to a healthy diet, the situation got progressively worse. Reluctantly, we caved in and went to see a dermatologist who prescribed antibiotics and Accutane. After 1.5 months of taking meds, her skin remained red and irritated and after much searching for help on Unilocal,I decided to take her to Proderma because they specialize in the treatment of acne without drugs.
It was so comforting to meet Joy who made my daughter immediately feel like she was not alone and gave her the confidence that she would be cleared in a matter of weeks. After 4 weeks of visits with Joy, my daughter’s skin has really started to clear and the skin color has started to even out. The best part about Joy is that she really cares and is there to hold your hand through the process. We were lucky to find her and look forward to our visits every time.

very disappointed with huge product price increase. Price for white skin cream, 1oz almost doubled this month to $ 70. It only lasts a month and with 2 boys that’s $ 140 a month just for the small cream. Joy’s justified the increase as «The cost of living in OC» ! Seriously?

I first met Joy when my daughter had a severe acne break out. We had tried everything and nothing worked (including various medications prescribed by her doctor). My daughter was getting more and more frustrated and discouraged. Then one day at school, she noticed a girl at school who had suffered from acne and the dramatic change in her skin. We knew that we were in the right place. Joy was very thorough as she explained how she would be able to help. Professional, educated and amenable. Also she is right here in San Clemente. Her prices are fair in both treatments and products. Money well spent for confidence and self-​esteem at any age.

I’ve been seeing Joy for acne almost 2 years now and it’s about time I write a review for her! I started getting adult acne when I turned 22 and I saw all kinds of specialists and dermatologists who had me on all kinds of products and treatments. Nothing kept me clear and after thousands of dollars and acne injections I was just tired. I was referred to Joy and reluctantly I went. I got a package since after all the money I had already spent was five times more expensive then one of her packages, I was more then happy to pay it if it meant clear skin. Within a month I saw a huge change in my skin and she cleared me up! You do need to stick to the regimen and be disciplined, like with anything you have to do it right if you want results!
